I purchased the Jackery Power Pro to operate my astronomy gear from remote locations. At 12 pounds for the battery, it is a welcome update to my travel gear, replacing a 40 pound deep cycle lead acid battery pack. I first tested the battery in my backyard. The Power Pro ran my telescope mount via 12VDC and my laptop computer (with camera attached and drawing power as well) in the 110 AC port. The is no noise other than a quick beep when the power ports are activated. I ran for more than an hour with 88% battery charge left at the end. I would expect it would easily last through a nighttime of observing - several nights if the computer was not being charged all the time. I brought the battery back up to 100% in an hour or so using the solar panels. Not an inexpensive accessory, but well designed, very well made and so light for its power capacity. A happy camper here!

Okay - it's great, it's better in capacity, build quality, etc than all those Chinese yellow rectangular ones you see - I have those too. As I see it, for what it is, (and don't expect it to actually compete it a gas generator folks - it's a battery bank that can do some slow solar) - it's the best on the market by a long shot.

I'm trying to find a complaint and here's what I have - I am dumb and threw out the box with the manual. I tried to find it online and it's not available anywhere- so here's what I was trying to find in case you're also wondering:

You have to click the AC power button 5x rapidly (I think) to actually turn ON the ac outlet. Couldn't find this anywhere online.

Ok yeah it's great buy it. I have it on my sailboat to run small nonessential appliances like speakers and heaters overnight and not use up the main battery bank.

This really small and super portable I've only tested it for a few minutes so far and it worked fine as I powered up my fridge and TV. I'm not sure how long it will last when I need to power a large TV and a few fans in a storm

Useful in many ways. It was really nice to car camp with a tent and be able to run a regular household reading light, keep mobile devices charging, and not worry about running out of power. The solar panel puts out a fairly high percentage of it's rated wattage and on most sunny days can probably fully charge the unit even if you use all its power overnight. In addition to camping and other outdoor or portable uses, it's a re-assuring backup power source in case of grid outages from natural disasters.

Having to replace the batteries for the third time. Having better luck with a battery that cost a third as much. These Batteries seem to last 6 months before they just stop working.

i used mine during an artist residency where i had no access to power, but needed to charge my camera batteries, computer, and phone. it worked great! it's super lightweight, and the design is so friendly; it's totally unintimidating and easy to use, and it charges up quickly in direct sun. (i only tried it once on a completely overcast day, and that didn't work. i guess you need at least a little bit of actual sunshine.) important to keep in mind that, because of the lithium, you CAN'T take these little guys on airplanes, and you might even need to make special arrangements to ship overland. it's worth it though!

Great large format power bank

Would have given it 5 stars, but the solar panel it came with is supposed to charge cell phones and other devices directly from a built-in USB port. The problem is that the panel begins to charge the phone, but then stops charging after about 5 seconds. Haven't quite figured out the issue. Instructions that come with the panel are minimal. Otherwise the actual power bank works great and the solar panel does charge the power bank well and quickly.

its great. So far I get a whole 3 recharges on my acer laptop (about 7 hours of power on my acer laptop for each recharge) and it looks like get almost another full recharge. It takes about 25% power for each recharge and there is around 42% of power left.

Jackery's Power Pro Explorer 500WH is incredibly useful on your camping trips or cross the country travels. I purchase the explorer as an extra option of power whenever I need it. With the solar panel I can attach to the top of my RV receiving power to the Explorer while my kids watch their shows on a small 28inch TV.

I love how it has a LED screen telling you how much power are going in and out of the explorer.

Multiple USB ports, AC and DC ports covering any power needs.

Only weight 12lb which is easy for anyone in my family to carry.

I am thinking of purchasing another for my grandfather who use a C-PAP breathing machines for his asthma and sleep apnea. Their house is quite old and the power circuit aren't always stable.

Overall this product is great, light and affordable in pricing. Useful in so many ways. Would recommend this.
