Great concept, delivery needs some work: stopped sparking after one year

I like the concept of this product. As a firestarter, this product does not fit the bill. Very, very few things will ignite and burn to start a campfire using it. Paper yes, nothing else. All other materials are a no go. The spark stopped being produced after about 6 months and approximately 10 fires. The flashlight portion works perfectly. I'll not buy a replacement one to spark. I'll keep it as an extra flashlight.

Good flashlight (not great), lighter doesn't work

A gift from my wife, arrived late. Good flashlight but doesn't have a zoom focus. Never got a spark out of the lighter, fully charged it and tried 20 times clicking three times each then holding on the forth and fifth, sixth,,,,, Nothing. Returning it for refund. Even if the lighter worked the price is double what it should be.

Purchased it for a gift. Flashlight works great but the lighter does not. Returning item as disappointed it does not do what is promised for that price point.

I can never get the lighter to work, even with the right kind of kindling you've really gotta coax it. I'll stick to conventional lighters I think.

I really like the flashlight though. Especially the lantern mode where you screw the top on and get nice, diffuse lighting. The included strap let's you hang it from the top of a tent to light the whole tent.

Decent light output and nice lighter. Only complaint i would say is that using the lighting is not intuitive. You cant just simply push the 2nd button. you have to push the 2nd button 3 times to activate the lighter button.

Great for lighting backpacking stoves

This is a great flashlight + plasma lighter. Excellent for quickly lighting a gas backpacking stove. Most backpackers have a headlamp as their main flashlight, so the flashlight feature is largely a backup light source in the backcountry. I hope they design a less weighty version for shorter trips.
