Luke Skywalker has evolved into Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Jedi Master Luke is a good addition to the Black Series line of 6-inch figures. Its sturdy, it can stand on its own, and Its easily possible. The paint application seems a bit lacking in detail. Also, the cape is strange. Apparently, Luke has become so powerful that he no longer needs sleeves on his on his Jedi robes. To get the cape to say on I have to wrap it around his arms. I do like that the cape is made from cloth and not plastic. Overall, it's a good figure for anyone who is a fan of Star Wars and Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars The Black Series Episode VIII The Last Jedi Old Luke Skywalker 6" Action Figure
by Graham Swearingen,Top Contributor: Action Figures (5 out of 5 stars)
September 6, 2017

Force Friday offered some pretty good stuff this year, for those of us unable to attend this years San Diego Comic Con it offered a chance to get Old Luke and Rey from the upcoming Star Wars The Last Jedi. Granted the SDCC exclusive Rey and Luke 2 Pack had special packaging, the figures themselves are the same. We don't know much about Last Jedi, or how big or little a role Luke will play. Last time we saw Luke, he didn't say a word, but he didn't need to. I've been waiting to get an Old Luke figure since I saw The Force Awakens on December 18th 2015. For the most part, the wait was worth it.

If Amazon let me rate with half stars, I'd really give this figure a 4.5 because it comes with no accessories. Granted Luke may not be swinging a hot beam of lightsabery goodness in Episode VIII, or do any action of any kind, I'm sure he reads a book or moves some object with the force that could have been included. Maybe even an ungloved robotic alternate hand, but to include nothing but a soft goods cape is pretty weak. This would have been another great figure to include an alternate head, I don't know why Hasbro only does that in the Marvel Legends line. And while overall I think the figure is great, I find it odd that Hasbro did the hair as a separate piece, you can tell... it looks like dude is wearing a wig/toupee or something. The head and hair sculpt are great, but rather than being one sculpted piece it's 2 that have been glued together and it looks kinda wonky. The soft goods cape looks cheap, but the desired effect is old, tattered, thin, so it works. The tie string to keep it in place is nicely done. And as we've seen in the last 8 waves or so, articulation is what we've come to expect.

If you have any other Luke or Rey figures, you could easily just give their lightsaber to this Luke, but this figure really should have come with something, I don't feel right docking it a star for that though. If an action figure is good enough, it needn't come with any accessories. This figure is good, but it's not good enough to warrant coming with nothing. And, maybe it's just me but the hair thing popped out immediately. It's not Funko Legacy Game of Thrones Arya Stark level bad hair piece, but I think this figure would have looked better with the hair being part of the head sculpt rather than a separate sculpt that was attached to the head. Even then, I wouldn't dock this figures rating a star for that, but if I could I'd knock it a half star I would. I'm really pleased to have this figure, gripes aside. And having this figure displayed next to Rey it's few shortcomings are easy to forgive. The Last Jedi is just a few months away and I cannot wait to see it, I can't wait to hear what stories Luke has to tell to Rey. Anyone who want's an Old Luke action figure, this is the best option currently out there and comes APPROVED.

Good figure, no lightsaber but cape is a pain to deal with
by CF,Top Contributor: Star Trek (4 out of 5 stars)

The figure per se is not super, but it has good resemblance to the source material.

I don't get why he does not have a lightsaber; I hope this is not a bad omen for the movie that is coming out soon, since if he has no fight scenes, that would be really disappointing. Even Yoda did fight at one point in the movies, so there is no excuse for Luke to not have a last saber fight before kick the bucket (as I expect he will, at the end of the movie; will know more once the movie is out).

The figure has decent articulation, pretty stiff since the plastic used for his clothes is quite rigid, not super posable and barely stand up without a base (I have various SH figuarts base that I use for the black series figures too). The best and worst part is the cloak: it is soft and nicely made; but for the heavens, it won't stay up decently. There is no metal wire in it, so can't wrap it around to make it more rigid (Ironically, the problem with this is the opposite of Kylo's cape, which is a single piece of plastic that can't be posed); also there is no way to tie it to the neck of the figure, nor has opening for the arms, to be used as a jedi robe.

Can't understand why it was made in that way; because it is a really nicely made cape.

Pretty cool but no lightsaber
by Action Review (4 out of 5 stars)

I think Hasbro should have made his hair screen accurate and not just a separate grey piece glued to his head sculpt and the lack of lightsaber is unfortunate as well.

The articulation is there but hindered a bit by the rubber lower robes but this figure was very popular and highly anticipated simply because we see this outfit in December 2015 & don't get the figure until summer 2017!! A huge misstep on Disney's part for not allowing any company to see this version of Luke before the movie's release.

There's an exclusive version with a stand (base shaped like part of the island ground) that is basically the same but in general, this version's head looks a little bit better because there is less red around the eyes. Still, if you see the exclusive for $15 or less you may want that one.

Damaged but intact
by Tony Turner (2 out of 5 stars)
December 13, 2017

The product itself is OK, but packaging was all banged up. I'm a collector, as are many who buy the 6 inch Black Series and having a very damaged box makes displaying this piece problematic. The only saving grace was the low price (under $14) but I would have rather paid full price and received an undamaged product.

Impressive sculpt and paint
by Books and Toy (5 out of 5 stars)
October 14, 2017

Very impressed by the aesthetic for this Luke. I was so excited to order on Force Friday, however a little nervous to order "blind". The figure is great, it's a dead ringer, well proportioned and really looks at home across from my Black Series Vader. The force is with this one.

Sculpt is lumpy with poor paint apps
by Eddie (1 out of 5 stars)
December 11, 2017

Sculpt is lumpy with poor paint apps. The worst is the cape/cloak. The seams are huge and there is no real way it attaches to figure. It looks like someone just grabbed a stray napkin and wrapped it around the figure. Hasbro has been getting worse.

We know Darth Vader is your father but are you Rey's?
by Solomon Anima (4 out of 5 stars)

Looks like LUKE in The upcoming movie this December "The Last Jedi". Lots of points articulation but they are all mostly restricted. That's ok though, he's not as young as he used to be. I wish his cloak stayed on better. I still love this toy because I'm a Star Wars fan.

Could be better
by Lando (3 out of 5 stars)
March 4, 2018

Overall sculpt is fine. The lack of accessories is disappointing. The included cloak doesn't drape as well as hoped. The paint could be better. While the robes are fine, his hair color is off. Needs more of a mixture of brown and grey/white rather than the single color on this figure.
