Nice matte screen protector

This is a nice matte screen protector that comes with 3 protectors.. I like the fact that it also comes with a cleaning cloth and card squeegee. I will say that there is a slight learning curve when it comes to applying screen protectors correctly. I failed miserably the first go around. It took me two tries to get it on smoothly even after following instructions and watching the video but once you get it on good you can't even tell it's on. This screen looks great and is pretty much undetectable if you apply it right. I deducted 1 star because although it says no fingerprints you can still see finger prints but its not a fingerprint magnet like the actual screen without the protector. It's not super visible. They are mainly seen when the screen goes black so not a huge issue. I just clean it off when done using it and it's much easier to clean than the screen without the protector. It was such a pain dealing with and cleaning fingerprints off the screen before I got the screen shield.

Caution: Great Product...except

The film is rigid enough to make application easy but not so thick it affects touch screen sensitivity. Installation instructions are very clear. The big problem is the removable handling/alignment tabs (both #1 and #2) are difficult to remove. Not a problem for tab #1 as the film backing is disposable...big problem for the film applied to the screen (tab #2). The tab adhesive does not release from the film. Trying to remove the tab causes bubbles on the otherwise perfect application. Worse still, the tab adhesive residue is impossible to remove from the screen film without scratching the film.

Lives up to its promises

I received the package about 2 weeks ago and put it on my Fire HD 8 right away. Usually installing screen protector would be a hassle, but this time the installation was smooth and not problematic at all for me. The key to film protector installation is that the screen MUST be clean. If there's any single tiny dust on the screen, there will be bumps showing up after you put the film on it. So I took extra care to clean the screen before anything, and the rest was fairly easy.

I purchased this product primarily because of its anti-glare & anti-fingerprint promises. It does work. I read under the light and outdoor with the Fire HD. Before I put the protector on, the glare obviously made my eyes uncomfortable, and the fingerprints were all over the screen that looked ugly and dirty. Now with the protector on, the glare is barely there, and I'm especially happy that I barely see fingerprints on the tablet anymore. So far I don't feel the protector affects the sensitivity of the touch screen.

It's still too early to say how the screen protector will go in a year or two, but overall so far, I'm happy with my purchase.

Frustrating to get on correctly - when you do you quickly realize is it NOT anti-glare nor anti-fing

I quickly needed a screen protector and anti-glare on my Fire 8 before a trip, my bad, I didn't do enough research prior to purchasing. I didn't get a 'card' to help get the bubbles out, but using a credit card worked fine. Luckily it comes in a 3 pack, 2 were destroyed upon application attempts, be aware if you don't exactly align this screen protector up perfectly AND you don't keep it perfectly straight, it will NOT work, even the slightest bit off, like a width of a single human hair, you will NOT get a 'seal' and the edge will touch off the actual Kindle screen and leave, not only a bubble, but a slight 'edge' to the screen protector and the slightest bump of a finger will lift off a section of the screen protector, leaving MORE bubbles and allowing small pieces of dust in that will create a pucker. SO frustrating, if they made these a tad shorter and narrower it would be a lot easier to apply and a lot less frustrating. Once, on attempt #3 I got it on, I finally took a pair of sharp scissors and lightly lifted up the overhang and carefully trimmed the 'overhang hair thin edge'...then I realized fingerprints all over the protector, which do wipe off, but there is serious glare, this takes some away, but certainly NOT what I would call 'anti-glare'. I will not be returning these since I, by my own fault, ruined 2 of them trying to apply, but I will not be purchasing them again in the future.

Very easy to install the screen protector if you follow some easy tips. Clean the screen completely of smudges and marks. I use a lint roller to help pickup all the dust. Align the screen protector with the camera hole and make sure you are as close to even with both sides. When you install only remove part of the first protective back near the top and slowly guide it on using a card to push the screen protector from the middle. If you have any issues pull up and redo. If you are using the kid case like I am it will cover and small errors but its cut with enough room on the sides to prevent issues. Got it in the first shot and have two more for my son to destroy.

Installation was a breeze, I followed the suggestion of installing them in a humid bathroom. That little tip really does help to cut down or even eliminate the lint. The anti-glare & anti-fingerprint finish is great, looks really nice.

Was frustrated with trying to watch movies on my Kindle Fire on airplanes and having too much glare from the windows and interior lights. So I decided to get this anti-glare shield - even though I already had a protective shield on my tablet. I wasn't sure about putting it on top of the other shield, was worried it might affect the touch screen too much, but decided to try it anyway and it's PERFECT!

The touch screen is working just fine. And I was able to enjoy a couple of movies on my last flight with no glare at all! I definitely recommend it for both the protection and for the anti-glare!

Easy install. First attempt was very simple. I have a case for my kindle fire so,this was solely to remove the high gloss screen of the tablet. It works as intended. There is a bit of lag when swiping since it is a matt finish however, you need this in order for it to work properly. I highly recommend and, would order again!

I got this protector because I couldn't use my Kindle HD 8 outside due to the glare. Now there is less glare, but the protector dims the screen dramatically and I still can't use it outside.

My (expensive) hunt continues to make my kindle usable outside.

Additional complaints I was willing to ignore, had it actually been effective:
- the "card" that come with is a glorified piece of cardstock and was basically worthless for smoothing out bubbles. I had to get a card I'd saved from a previous screen protector purchase.
- it was extremely difficult to line up correctly. As another reviewer noted, if it was even a hairsbreath off, it didn't create a seal. By making it a mm shorter this would have been avoided.

Terrible both before and after application

There were a few issues:
1. This did not include any of the standard application equipment such as stickers to attach it to the tablet, stickers to get lint off, or a plastic card to get air bubbles out. They did include a paper card that was totally ineffective.
2. The screen protector is extremely thin, so it is difficult to see what's an air bubble and what is a piece of dust. The bubble will go away when you press on it, but it will come back later if it's dust.
3. The screen protector makes everything underneath it extremely hazy. I purchased this to make it easier to read, but now I can barely make out letters

I'd give it zero stars if I could
