FiberFix Total Repair - Accelerated Instant Cure Super Glue

The glue and the light work great, but the cap and dispenser need a serious redesign improvement. The cap is very difficult to remove and the glue canister inside the dispenser spins around when you are are trying to remove the cap.

The glue is very strong and bonds things securely. I would buy this again if the cap and dispenser were redesigned better. After about half a dozen uses, the tip is completely clogged from dried glue. The cap should have a pin in it to keep the glue from clogging the tip if it dries.

Can't use it if it won't come out

Followed the instructions for use and nothing comes out. Tried putting the cap back on and turning clockwise, then removing, still nothing.

Have seen others with this same problem.

Amazing Product.

I used this to put back together a totally shattered porcelain lid to an old Chinese jar treassured by my wife. Many small shards were missing. Parts were pulverized. There were voids left after gluing the biggest shards together. I was able to fill the voids with this stuff, by building it up drop by drop. I colored in the pattern by using a felt-tip marker. The repaired lid, one of a pair, is indistinguishable from the undamaged jar. The product cures immediately by using the light built into the dispenser, jus like the Dentist's cavity repair filler!

Wear gloves
by Jared (1 out of 5 stars)

Fallowed instructions. Twisted the cap clockwise and then it exploded out the sides. Covered my hand and the surface i was working on in glue. I should have worn gloves. Been peeling off glue for hours. Maybe my product was defective. I have no idea what happened. Didn't really get to test it. Dries on skin almost instantly.

The cap won't come off so the product is useless
by C. Cappel (1 out of 5 stars)

When product container is so poorly designed that it prevents me from accessing the product, that tells me what I need to know about the quality of the product itself. Pretty sure I'm not the only person who had this problem, judging by the questions. The cap just spins, won't come off. I passed it around to other reasonably strong and intelligent adults to be sure I wasn't missing something obvious and none of them could get it open either. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

New package with NO GLUE AT ALL
by Doc (1 out of 5 stars)

Screwed on cap as instructed. Punctured the tube and tried to squeeze out a drop. Nothing. Took everything apart. All glue was either completely dried or it never had any to begin with. Needed to fix a toy of my sons. Now will have to wait for replacement. If replacement is better will update. But if not one star stands. Would give zero if I could.

Great glue that does what it says
by Firelight2 (5 out of 5 stars)

I first found Fiberfix at my local grocery store and loved it. It came out of the tube slightly gooey. More like a gel. And when I shined the LED light in the back on it, it cured instantly in less than a second. This made it excellent for things like repairing a glass sculpture where I needed something thick enough to fill gaps, clear, and that cured instantly so I didn't need to use any clamps.

My grocery store ran out so I ordered more Fiberfix on Amazon. The packaging is the same, but the actual glue is slightly different. instead of coming out of the tube slightly gooey, the stuff I got at Amazon is very runny.... the same consistently as regular liquid (non-gel) super glue. Also it takes about 2 seconds to cure under the LED light. No more instant cure.

I suspect that the stuff I got from Amazon is just fresher. The gooey stuff was probably just older. However, I still like the glue and it still works. I can even make it gooey by partially curing it with the light before applying it.

Biggest downside of this glue is the packaging system. Like many super-glues, once the package is opened the glue has a finite shelf life. Come back a month later after opening it, and there's a decent chance you'll find it as hard as a rock. Also the cap has issues unscrewing when you come back to it. If this happens to you try pushing in the cap before turning it.

It's also somewhat pricey for glue.

Overall I still rate it 5 stars, because there's simply no other glue available that does what this glue can.

I bought this to fix the tail light on my ...

I bought this to fix the tail light on my '99 Camry. It got rear-ended a while ago and this pushed the bumper and rear quarter panel up a bit into where the light assembly is. As a result, the plastic on the light assembly split apart a bit, and some of it pushed out, away from the assembly. I've attempted to fix this with clear packing tape, but it never really held it together and you could tell that some of the plastic still wanted to push out (in MA, you're not supposed to have any obvious cracks or chips in a light assembly if you want to pass state inspection). I decided to give this stuff a chance, hoping it could bond the two sections together so that nothing was pushing out anymore. I was skeptical, but it actually worked. It probably took about 2 minutes to make the fix and it's held for a few weeks, so far. The car passed inspection and I'm sure I'll find some other uses for this stuff in the future.

Basically Epoxy! Which can be used for mold casting
by Cham (4 out of 5 stars)

This stuff is really amazing! I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the glue sometimes comes dried up, or the lid itself doesn't always puncture the top (my last tube I had to puncture by hand). I first tried this glue through their kickstarter, which I believe was to just fix the tube's design problems, because I did read that somewhere... plus the tube is now blue and I had no problems whatsoever with the blue tubes! The glue from what I can tell is exactly the same as the older model which is fine with me, because the glue is amazing! That's why I decided to give the older style a try. Unfortunately with the older tube design it's really a hit or miss if it's going to work, but I really love this glue! It's so much better than any other glue I've used! It's basically epoxy, which is what I (as a prop designer) use to fill my molds (epoxy really has so many uses). Now, this little thing clearly isn't enough to fix a mold the size of a sword! But I was able to fix my little Naboo Starfighter tree ornament's wing. One wing melted off somehow last year, so I kept meaning to fix it, and then the Kickstarter glue arrived in October and I realize I could just make a quick clay mold out of the other side's wing and then fill that up with the glue/epoxy! This stuff is really amazing, I only have good things to say about it. Now as for the wing on my thumb sized Naboo Starfighter, it's not perfect, I technically should give it a little sanding (because the glue is sandable), but it looks surprisingly good for a mold I made in what, 5 minuets tops?? Anyway, I definitely recommend this stuff! It really has so many uses! And if you can buy the blue, newer model, even better!

Too thick to use!!
by James Vennebush (1 out of 5 stars)
August 7, 2018

I bought this to glue a small piece of plastic on the corner of my laptop. I followed the directions on package. The glue doesn't want to come out of tube. Had to take top off to get even a small dab of glue out! Glue was like thick jelly! I was able to get a single blob out, thankfully it was enough to glue the 1/2 inch long piece of plastic on my laptop! The glue did set up with light! But I won't buy this again as it is far too expensive, and far too thick to use, I only got one SMALL use out of entire tube!
