I got this product because I saw two potential jokes with it:
1. There is a banana in my pocket, I'm not just happy to see you.
2. I bought this phone from someone online, and they told me it was an apple!

I'm finding that there is more potential humor with it.

Apart from that, the phone works and works well. It paired easily with my phone, and the sound quality is great. Besides, it certainly looks a-peeling...(well, the jokes can't all be A material, sorry).

The Banana Phone has given me a joyful journey! It brings JOY to teachers and students at our Elementary School, when I am using it!!! People ask me all the time where they can buy one!! I love it!!!

Item arrived on expected delivery day and was well packaged.

The phone came with a card to charge but did not have anything to plug it into, luckily we do have a smart phone so we placed the banana cord in that and it worked out, just something to be aware if if you don't have a charger to use.

The phone was sturdier than I expected, I thought it would be more toy like, but it actually seems durable.

Once charged we could not wait to use it, the phones speaker was clear and easy to hear what was being said, on the other end it was easy to hear what the person speaking into the banana phone was saying, we were even able to clearly hear my youngest who speaks quietly sometimes. There was no static, and it did not have an echo and it did not sound like you were in a tunnel.

Initially I was skeptical about the purchase, it was a little more than I wanted to spend on a gift that was just for a few laughs, but once the phone came and I was able to see and hear it, it was worth it to me. I just would not pay more.

Husband is taking it to work to use on a couple busines calls. I think it would be hilarious if he was to close a deal on a banana phone! Also my childhood dreams came true. There was someone on the other end of the banana phone!

Okay, so this was a gift for a friend. They were stoked to receive it. They have the 'I'll talk on a banana phone' kinda personality so obv it was a no brainer. I only see them a couple of times a year so my review can only go so far, right? Bummer.

I will update this review if they tell me the phone was useless or bad sounding though. Seriously though, buy it. I mean, how awesome will it feel to know that you will have made someone smile just having seen you talk on a banana phone. It's like a gift for yourself and everyone else. Even a bad conversation would be better on a banana phone. Am I right? :D

I absolutely love the banana phone and here is why. All the functions worked as advertised. Good sound quality and blue-tooth connects easily. It works very well and was super easy to set up with my iPhone. Works great with Siri and is fun to use. Is a great gift for others the person who get's one will love it! The banana phone exceeded my expectations and it's all for a good cause. I would 100% recommend it to anyone who talks on the phone.

I've had an absolute BLAST with this so far. The reactions you get from talking with this is absolutely hilarious.

I understand this is to be used WITH your phone and it's not a standalone headset, BUT I hope (wish) you guys might invent a second edition of this that would be a phone? Wishful thinking, I know but that would be amazing.

OR maybe add in a small keypad on it? That was actually a minor inconvenience I came across when calling a phone company. It told me to hit 9 or 5 so I had to touch my phone and still have the banana in the other hand.

But again it was VERY minor and im pretty sure if your the type of person looking to buy this thing, that wouldnt be a huge issue. But overall AMAZING! 50/10 stars!

Love it! Seems like a quality build, and bluetooth connects easily. Easy to understand the person on the other end, although there is a slight buzz for the person you're speaking to. But I'll go ahead and assume this isn't going to be my everyday communication tool, so for the purpose it's fantastic! Smile more: check!

I've learned a few important things about this, as well as about myself, since receiving this entertaining fruit mobile.

First: the only shortcoming of the device I've found so far is that it will lose connection on occasion. You'll recognize this by the LED flashing blue and green for about a minute, after which the device will emit a loud "Power Off" alert. Not the best thing to happen during a business meeting, but certainly not a big deal. That said, the connectivity issue is a minor annoyance at most. I don't make or receive many phone calls, so I can't complain.

Second: In response to the loud "Power Off" alert, I removed this from my pocket to clear up the lingering question as to why my batteries had died at 10am in a meeting (lol, big mood). It was at that time that I learned that any person not familiar with the Banana Phone song will not get the "joke" and will instead likely imagine the joke to be something about a "banana in your pocket"... Needless to say, we had a pretty good laugh. Just be aware of the slim NSFW potential of a banana shaped device.

TLDR: Might be inappropriate for professional settings. Occasionally loses bluetooth signal, but lets you know by turning off after a minute. I wish it were a little cheaper, as to encourage it as a smalltime gift purchase, but it's worth the money whether you care about gorillas or not.

Fun To Talk With

I bought this banana phone as a birthday gift to a good "˜ol friend of mine that I knew would appreciate this. She opened it and found it hilarious and super cute. She made a call to her neighbor right away with it and asked her neighbor to come outside so she could see how she was talking to her. The moment the neighbor saw the banana phone she started to laugh and so did we! Now my friend carries it everywhere in her purse with her. The only negative thing we found about this banana phone is that once it starts to reach low battery the sound quality lessens a bit to the point where the calls sound staticky. Other than that it's a good fun way to talk to people and brings smiles to anyone who sees you using it :)
