I loved these noodles! Saw them on Sean in the Wild with Joji, ordered them five minutes later. Just ate my first cup and could easily down number 2 without a second thought

OK - I lived in Japan and this was a staple for me. This is good - but this is made in CA and isn't completely the same.

I plan on adding a bit of - S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix - Mild - and expect that will help.

Still - it is a LOT cheaper than the Japanese imports of this and I will be buying more!!!

Good curry flavor in an average cup-of-noodles.

The curry flavor is good, lots of taste with only mild heat. But beyond that, these are just regular instant ramen noodles.

I bought them because they were reviewed by Sean Evans in a YouTube video for First We Feast, but he oversold them a little, IMHO.

Also, at 1450 mg of sodium, and 51 carbs, they are not really a healthy meal.

Your best bet here is to make the curry and noodles in the cup, then pour them into a larger bowl and add a can of peas and carrots and then some chicken, eggs or tofu.

Tastes exactly the same as the ones I had during my childhood in Hong Kong. So glad I ordered them when they just 87 cents each here on Amazon. Love them but not gonna order anymore, too expensive now!

Less guilty Nissin Cup Ramen but doesn't have the same satisfaction

This review isn't for the Curry flavor but the Spicy Chicken Very Veggie one (Amazon lumps all the flavors together). One thing I noticed right away is the cooking time is spot on for the noodles - you don't want to go over 2 1/2 minutes or the noodles will become soggy pretty quickly. I actually like a more tender noodle, but these were turning pretty mushy by the time I was finishing up the cup. Also note that there is a suggested fill line inside the cup where you shouldn't pour past. I recommend you go slightly under this line for a "richer" flavor. Finally the veggies inside are dehydrated and do add a nice texture to the soup.

My main problem is since they didn't add any extra MSG (I'm fine with it personally but to each their own), the overall taste of the soup seems a bit watered down - even though there's a ton of sodium in it. So you end up with a somewhat tepid profile that doesn't really taste like chicken or something that has meat in it. If anything I felt this was a cumin / tomato broth since it's the prevalent spice. I wouldn't order this particular flavor again - but if you're stuck with it I would recommend adding some lime, lemon or Tapatio (Hot sauce) to help kick up the flavor a bit. Everyone seems to like the Curry variant and I felt I should of tried that one instead. Don't make the same mistake I did getting the spicy chicken.

This is by far the best instant ramen I have ever had. I normally aim for chicken when I go for a cup of noodles to give you a baseline to my preferences. I'm also a big curry fan!

I saw this on Sean in the Wild with Joji and decided I would go ahead and try it. At its current price, it's around 2$ a cup which is pretty steep for instant ramen. Well worth it though in my opinion. With normal cups of ramen I find myself feeling dissatisfied, as if I could eat 2 or 3 cups. With these noodles that's not the case. There is a depth of flavor in this seasoning that is on a whole other level. It's warming and comforting. The spice range makes you feel full and satisfied. That makes this worth 2$ a pop for me because it could actually replace a meal.

A great way to amp this up would be to add fresh potatoes and carrots to the mix, they added greatly to the experience so more of them would be even better.

You do have to be patient putting water into this, I had to bend the cup slightly so that the water could penetrate the seasoning layer and get to the noodles.

In response to some other reviews on here describing the broth as thick, add more water? My broth was still a broth consistency not a sauce, and a full flavored brother at that. It in no way tasted watered down. You can create the consistency you want.

Let me preface by saying that Japanese curry is one of my most beloved foods on the planet, so when I heard someone mention these I looked everywhere for it. Both my local Asian grocery store as well as American grocery store did not carry this flavor so I had to go to Amazon to get it. The price is spot on for a case of 6 and came super quick with Prime shipping!

The flavor is smooth and creamy, like it's advertised and not overly salty. I love it! I can't recommend this flavor enough for someone who wants to have a sodium overdose!

Includes Pork - Would have been Nice to know in advance

The ONLY reason this item is getting a "netral" review (3 stars) is that nowhere does it indicate that it includes meat of any kind... until after you purchase it and read that it includes pork. I don't like surprises like that -- when something has meat, shellfish, peanuts, or anything else that might be considered an item to avoid (for health, religious, or food preference reasons) it would be nice if the ingredients were clearly included in the description or as a product photo. I, personally, tasted the noodles -- and the taste is good (not super rich, a little bit on the weak side for me) but ultimately I can't purchase these any more due to the extra ingredients. I will admit that it's my mistake for not asking in advance, but in all my ramen-eating days I've never had an "instant cup" with meat in it (that I know of) so it just wasn't something I expected to be in there.

I used to eat this seafood noodles very often in Japan. Same great flavor! Good blend of pork soup & seafood.

There's tiny pieces of dried calamari (real one) and imitation crabmeat, which add nice flavor.

I wish Nissin would introduce more of those Japanese versions of cup noodles. They are really good.

Better than noodle only cups

I like Nissin seafood cup noodle because the flavor is good and at least there are actual some protein in the cup, which make it more enticing. I wait usually about 3 minutes for the noodle to cook with hot water. Fair warning though the sodium level is high so it may not be something you want to consume daily.
