Stay away from this "stainless" fork/spoon combo tool. It's cheap, tastes bad, and rusts immediately.

I love this design. My city doesn't recycle plastic cutlery or straws I'm trying to reduce my impact on the planet... and let's be honest, I'm a sucker for a clever multulitool. (But dislike camping sporks - that serrated edge on a fork, ouch.)

Outdoor Edge seemed reputable (there are knockoffs floating around Amazon) so I got theirs. I kept it in my purse for lunch out, and tucked a silicone reusable straw / straw brush in the ripstop nylon bag (plenty of room). It could have been so great...

But whoa the quality is terrible. Bad taste and instant rust. I washed it on receipt, then used it. It tasted awful, like chewing aluminum foil. I thought maybe another wash would help, and I really really wanted it to work because the design is so great. But no, after washing it, I found rust blooms all over it. Holy cow this is cheap "stainless steel" - they skimped big time on the chromium.

Returned.

Thought this was a cool idea and so I bought it to take for my lunches. The first time I hand washed this product it started to rust on the knife and the pivot point. I do not Recommend this product at all!!!

I wanted to give 4.5 stars but for only one reason. This product is sleek, lightweight, and durable. The two coolest features being that the two components lock together so you don't have to hear them clanging around, and that the knife is built into the handle of the spoon(GENIUS!). I've taken it for a test run before my next trip, and it is comfortable to use, and the perfect size.

Back to my 4.5 stars. The only negative I find in this brilliant product is that it's a little tough to flip out the knife blade. Whether the blade is open or closed it is firmly and safely secured which is fantastic, but when trying to open the blade, it is slightly combersome. I found myself using the handle end of the fork as a slight wedge.

Other than that one detail, an amazing product.

I am a huge fan of Outdoor Edge knives - other than the fear of cutting myself when changing a blade that is glued in by blood and fat. I own more than I will ever use.

Of course I had to try their Chowpal for camping. This is a little tricky to hook together for storage and the material is pretty light weight but I think it will do the job just fine. Includes a storage bag.

Very nice product, locks up tight knife is limited by space do like the raised ridge along knife edge when closed, well thought out tool. Stainless steel strong, resists bending, Enjoy lunch on the trail or at the office!

Picked one of these up in a subscription box I get Cairn and loved it so much I had to find and buy 2 more. I keep one in the desk at work and the other two in my rafting and camping gear/travel gear. Love it super high quality and they just fit perfect in my hand. The knife is super sharp.

Nice little self-contained set. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. It's not flimsy at all, just wish it was a bit more duty. Overall, I'm sure it will do the job.

It is really lite weight and unlike many other Sporks the fork is a real fork and it has a real knife blade. Compact and fits comfortably in my pants pocket.

Great for outdoors, picnic or just leave in car as spares! It is well-made, definitely not gonna break like plastic ones.
