part not molded correctlyby Amazon Customer (3 out of 5 stars)

1. I have purchased the gyrados and charizard and had no issues
2. This part was molded incorrectly, that happens, no big deal. What stinks is the options I have to obtain the correct part. I have to send back all pieces, and my son is devastated. He spent hours and the body is almost complete. I wish there was a way to get this one piece, but this piece is holding up a lot in the build.
3. I will update the review when we get the replacement and complete the build.
Not worth the time or the money

I bought this for my sons birthday. I personally ended up putting it together because there were too many pieces and he got frustrated. I spent approx 2 days putting this crap together only to find missing pieces, pieces that are deformed and wont fit in and a moving mechanism piece that was put in upside down and backwards. poorly made and not worth the frustration. i'm very disappointed and used a lot of adult language putting it together only halfway
Ridiculously Adorable

Wanted to buy this the second I saw it. I've been an avid Pokemon fan since I was 10 and still have this excitement everytime I buy something related to Pokemon. I've bought Lego sets before but I've never bought a set from mega construx. So I was slightly skeptical of the difference in quality control for a less popular/well known brand. But the box arrived in great condition, all the bricks came in numbered bags and included 2 part instruction booklets. They also include a brick separator (they call it a 9-in-1 tool on their website) which can be very helpful if you place two bricks together that are hard to get apart using only your fingers. This came in handy for me as I tend to rush myself.
This took a while to build. I didn't time myself but I would guess about 2-3 hours, not including breaks. The entire model is quite hefty. About 2 pounds I would say. It does measure just under 13 inches. (when it's standing and ears are straight up) This is a very nice scale and almost to scale as a "real" Pikachu, which are 16 inches tall. The end build is quite sturdy as well.
I wouldn't recommend this for younger kids, unless they have an extreme amount of patience or are at least familiar when it comes to building bigger sets. Otherwise the many hours of building might be a bit frustrating for them. Though, if they don't mind you building the majority (or all) of it, I would go ahead and buy it so they can have this beside their bed, on a desk or wherever they normally play. I use mine as a shelf piece.
All in all, I'm in love with this little guy and it would be amazing if Mega Construx introduces more of these jumbo Pokemon. Perhaps an Eevee next or maybe one of the starters would be awesome.. Call me weird, but it's like having your own pet Pikachu at home. And what's not to like about that?
Missing and bad pieces

Some pieces were molded poorly and did not fit. I needed to use a hammer to get them in and I even used super glue to keep them together. Then I had pieces missing from the arm and leg. I was able to go onto the website and request the arm pieces, but the part number for the leg pieces says it is not a valid part. This thing would be cool if they actually took the time to maker it properly.

I love these Mega Construx Pokemon sets! I purchased this set once a few months ago and was disappointed to find that some pieces were warped or not molded correctly and some of the pieces were incorrect for the section I was building. This obviously wasn't Amazon's fault but there was a problem with Mega Construx's quality control. After waiting a few months, I purchased it again a few days ago and...it's perfect!!! It will take a good couple of hours to complete, but the final build is so rewarding and it looks great alongside the other Pokemon in my collection! 9/10, only because of the problems the first time around.
Missing pieces

I would have given this product 5 stars if it wasn't for a terrible packaging job. The finished product is so cute, and the instructions are easy to follow and put together nicely. I was really upset to find that there were over 10 missing pieces altogether, with several pieces in the box that didn't even belong there. They were no where in the instructions and didn't match up to the product. Not only that but the pieces are in little bags that are separated to make things easier, the correct pieces that I needed for each section were in totally different bags then what they were supposed to be in so I ended up opening all the bags and digging through the pieces as I needed them. Pretty frustrating to give this as a gift and the kid is disappointed because it's basically an unfinished product. Hard to tell from the photo but 3 pieces were missing from the ear, 4 pieces from the foot, and another 3 pieces on his back. Again, if this product was packaged correctly this would be an amazing toy but I'm highly disappointed.

Missing pieces for the arm and feet and some pieces are deformed and not able to stay on. Overall I'm pretty pist that they would sell this product with so many missing pieces.

I read a lot of reviews for this product and I was hesitant to buy it based on what I read but I'm 100% glad we bought it.
1. I've read that the constructions are difficult to follow. I didn't find this to be true. While they are different from other brand instructions they are very clear with what pieces are needed and where they need to go. It just takes a few moments to understand how they've structured the instructions and once you've got that down, there's no problem. I helped my 5 year old get started and then he took off on his own.
2. I've read that the pieces are difficult to put together. When constructing the different parts, it was very simple to snap pieces in place. I did have to help my son (5 years old) connect the parts to each other but that's only because the figure is rather large and his small hands couldn't manage it. I did also "tighten" the pieces (extra squeezing) to make sure the parts could be put together when it was time.
3. Missing pieces reported....to this I say, these people probably just didn't put the right pieces in the right spot. Each bag comes with all of the pieces you need. If you find that you are missing a piece, you probably put a piece in the wrong spot. (Usually same shape, but different size)
4. Bag order...all of the pieces are in the bag number indicated....non-yellow...or "special" pieces are in the smaller, un-numbered bags. I don't think it explained that, but it was simple to figure out.
All in all, it took us around 9 hours to assemble Pikachu but it was worth it. It's super cute! You are able to manipulate the ears, tail, arms and legs. It stands easily on its own. My 5 year old managed to put it together with minimal assistance.
Pieces were missing

Pieces were missing for the arm. When we went to their website to find a contact number it was to confusing. When we found it we were not able to call them about a replacement and/or refund. Worst part that we didn't find out til we were almost done building it.
Fun but maybe not the most sturdy

I bought this product for my husband who loves Pokemon. It was something fun that he could do and the fact that it was 12 in tall made it a blast.
I only have one complaint, the pieces particularly around the stomach area are very weak, causing cavins every time you try to pick it up and put new pieces on it. Also it wasn't until the very end that we noticed that maybe one or two pieces were missing. We ended up pulling half of it apart to double-check the pieces. Which was a little Annoying and laborious to have to go put it back together. Overall if they were to make more of these, I would probably still buy them
