Nodpod's BPA-free microbeads are scent free or unscented and 100% machine washable, but not microwaveable. Do not put in the microwave.

No way to secure

I was really excited about this product but it's not really what I thought it would be like.
1) there's a tiny hole you have to pull the other strap in. I tried that last night and it never stayed. I then tried to tied it and woke up later and that also didn't stay. I'm probably going to have to buy some Velcro and sew it on to make it work.
2) Those microbeads move around and depending on how you lay, they shift. Sometimes they shift to under your eye or to the side and it doesn't feel right. The only way you have an even amount of pressure is if you lay straight on your back. So if you're a side sleeper like me, it won't feel as comfortable or right.

Update: I decided to sew a button on instead of the Velcro- works great. I used a larger button so I didn't have to do anything to the hole that's already on the other flap. Something the manufacturer could have put on with very little cost to them especially since the sleep mask is already $25.

The sleep mask is fine, it's what I wanted. My issue is the closure, it's a little crazy to spend $25 on a mask that doesn't stay on and I have to sew to make fit correctly. But I need it for after surgery so I'll be sewing Velcro to it.

I bought one of these in Black a few months back. It worked so well for me, but then a coworkers little sister was going through chemo and couldn't sleep, so I recommended she try one. I gave her my original one and it was the first night she was able

To sleep, and they were in the hospital with beeps and interruptions and hourly nurse visits and all of that. I replaced mine, and I am still thrilled with the product. As a pharmacist when recommending patients try sleep hygiene before they resort to medicine, this is one of the products I recommend to try (especially if my parents are elderly and a fall risk if they add medicine that could make them dizzy or out of it. This is an amazing product. The way it secures onto your head sets it apart from similar products offered on amazon.

I agree with the commenters who wish there was a way to get it to secure more tightly.

Until I started finding little plastic beads in my bed, I really liked the product. I returned the one I had, but I'll probably get another. Would have been four starts if it weren't for the bad stitching. Five stars if you could secure it more tightly.

I'm suffering from terrible insomnia due to perimenopausal symptoms (hot flashes, etc) which has led to sleep anxiety. The weight of the mask is perfect. It helped when I had a migraine (only a little because, well it was a migraine) but did help me tolerate a tension headache. There are two sides of different material. The jersey knit side is helping my head stay cool. I believe the fleece side will be warmer but at this time in my life, I don't need warmer even though it is a cold winter here this year. It wraps around and stays...and more importantly is comfortable. I have no problem sleeping on my side. It is comfortable (sometimes I need to adjust it a bit though to get really comfy). It totally blocks out light. In fact, I slipped it off to see what time it was and was surprised to see it was 7am and very light (I thought my hubby turned the light on). If you wear earplugs like I do, you can adjust the sides to cover your ears so they don't pop out. I am extremely happy with this weighted eyemask and will recommend it over and over again.

For health reasons I needed to begin sleeping on my back with my arms at my sides. BIG problem is that I can't sleep without a gentle cover for my eyes. I tried mask, eye pillows, and light down pillows with little satisfaction. THIS ITEM is perfectly soft and cool - and provides a gentle soothing pressure that makes me feel so relaxed! It's the perfect weight and proportions and it's well-built to lay gently across my face and stay pretty well put for the night with each end laying out over my pillow. Additionally, the feature to wrap it around my head is great for sleeping while sitting up. Best thing ever!!

I CANNOT STRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS THING!!!

I have terrible migraines, and the pressure that this puts on my head, eyes is so relaxing. I use it to sleep all the time, even when I don't have a migraine. I love the weighted feel of it and the fact that I can choose which of the two fabrics I want against my face. There is also a cool "buttonhole" that you pull one end through to secure the mask around your head and it works so nicely. Light is blocked out, outside sound seems reduced, and when I want to wear headphones, I feel like they're a little more secure.

There's something about placing this weighted thing on my eyes when I'm tossing and turning that lulls me back to sleep. The shape of it is a bit weird--it's not a typical eye mask, it's much bulkier and doesn't fasten on in the same way--but once you get beyond that, this can really be a beautiful thing. I keep it on my bedside table and use it if I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep (which happens often) or once the sun rises and I want to sleep in a little more. If you have sleep issues I'd recommend trying this novel product.

Well, I wake up frequently throughout the night, always have BUT ive noticed when I sleep with the nodpod, if I wake up, i fall back asleep almost immediately due to the gentle pressure. Its a really great product. Fits comfortably, its soft, and it blocks out the light. I may be purchasing some for my friends around christmas!

Perfect for what I needed

The mask is a little lighter than I expected, I have to manipulate the beads to keep the weight on my eye sockets, otherwise the length of the mask shifts the weight across the head .My doctor wanted me to sleep with weighted eye mask to keep my eyelids closed as I'm experiencing dry eye. It's comfortable, and stays in place if i stay on my back. If I roll on my side it initially stays in place, but if I awake on my side it has slipped off. I like the fact that I don't need a band around my head but It can be comfortably attached if you want. It can't be heated or chilled, so I must use another mask for warm/cold compresses.
