Awesome keychain, but light broke within days

I love the idea of this keychain - looks awesome and is made super heavy duty metal construction. I get a ton of compliments about it, really stands out more than I was expecting. Two downsides about this product though:
1. The light up functionality broke within days of purchase. I noticed several other reviews say the same thing before I bought it so wasn't entirely surprised by this. I took it apart and the light works when it is disassembled, so I know the batter is fine. After reassembling it only works for a few presses and stopped again. It must just come out of alignment in the casing that prevents the light from functioning which is a real bummer.
2. The "Insert Coin" text on the inside of the button seems to just be a paper insert set inside the casing. It very easily comes out of alignment and gets crooked or cutoff. It is a minor annoyance but worth noting.

Still happy with it overall, nice subtle way to show off my love of arcade games.

Arrived with a dead battery

As others have said, this is solid and very well crafted. The battery (2032 coin battery) was dead, so it didn't light up until I replaced it. Not a big deal but for the money, it would be nice if you didn't have to immediately go out and buy a replacement. I'd have given it 5 stars if they had either left the battery out separately, or put in some sort of pull tab to disable it in shipping. Replacing the battery is just manipulating 4 screws with a small Phillips screwdriver.

Fun Arcade Desktop Display

Lovely metal/dicast design, a lot heavier than I expected. I must have been lucky as mine isn't broken. Lights up and everything!

I only have two complaints. One would be an extra led at the bottom, make it brighter or something, and secondly, make the keychain part optional or the ability to take off.

Other than that, great product!

A MUST HAVE for Arcade Lovers and Nostalgia!

A VERY well-made keychain that exceeded my expectations. From the moment the package arrived, I knew this was going to be a good one.

After opening the box, I was impressed to see how it was packaged. It had a plastic cover to protect the front face as well as a plastic battery saver to keep the battery fresh.

The product is solid metal with a plastic push button, just as advertised and feels just like the real machine with the textured face. The keychain is very heavy, as others have stated but it doesn't bother me.

I believe this is a second manufacturing run because I've seen Kickstarter photos with a foam sheet protecting the keychain, and the light seemed to be on. It could've been just for the photo but it might also be why people received dead batteries. The new package has he battery savers.

In addition, the light only stays on for 6-7 seconds before turning off, as opposed to the advertised 30 seconds. Personally, I'm fine with this as it keeps the battery life up.
2 Phillips screws hold the back cover in which easily comes off to access the battery for replacing. It uses a single CR2032 cell battery.

Overall I am super impressed with the keychain, and already got my friends to purchase them. They also loved it. This is a great gift for anyone who loves that nostalgic arcade feeling and want a high-quality keepsake!

Great Retro Arcade Keychain (Battery was fine😁)

Sooo...not sure what everyone is talking about on the DOA batteries....mine was fine😁�.

I had been looking for a keychain for my Cocktail Arcade key. The key is one of those small barrel keys...with no real markings on it...I was originally trying to find a pacman keychain or something of the sort. When I saw this I was like 🙌YES🙌 it's perfect! Then I started reading all the negative reviews and was like .... maybe not but I decided...what the heck, I can always replace a battery or return it.😁

This lil keychain is perfect for what I needed...as some others have pointed out it's HEAVY ... like REALLY HEAVY! I wouldn't use this for car keys or anything but it's pretty cool. Mine came in a nice cardboard box with a foam piece holding it perfectly in place...after taking it out of the box and removing the plastic sleeve I noticed it had a plastic pull that was keeping the battery from connecting. I pulled out the tab and nothing I was like "Here we go...it's DOA😥" I looked around the unit and there was NO power switch then I realized the power switch is the coin return😁. You push in the coin return (which is a soft push...no click) and the led lights up 🙌 push it again and it's off...duh🤪. If your into retro games or need a keychain for your Arcade Unit key I suggest this lil guy.�

Dear on arrival

I was really excited when I saw this and preordered a unit. The keychain is supposed to light up, but mine received dead on arrival and would not light up. Several other people have apparently had the same problem!

Also, the keychain is really heavy and too heavy for me.

I have to give it one star due to not working as advertised.

This keychain is metal and very solid. The rear screws are countersunk, but not deep enough, so they stick out of the back of the case.

Unfortunately, mine doesn't light up. I'll keep it, but I'm really disappointed.

Brings back so many memories.

Growing up in the age of arcades and then eventually seeing them all but disappear having this little gadget brings back the memories of dropping quarter after quarter into an arcade machine.

The quality it top notch. Feels just like the real deal.

The light worked just fine when I received it. Pressing the button turns on the light pressing it again turned it off.

Arrived not working

My pre-order also arrived not working. Hopefully the replacement works.

Not practical as an actual keychain due to the weight, but would be pretty awesome to keep some arcade keys on or something.

Edit: 10/28 update

My replacement arrived working and I also ordered another for a gift that arrived working, updating the review to reflect that.
