Best Ultra Magnus figure in a long time

The new leader class Ultra Magnus is an excellent figure. Leader Class toys feature a Voyager sized robot that combines with a bunch of extra parts to bulk it up. He's still quite a bit smaller than a Commander class toy, like his Combiner Wars figure, but the end result is still a big figure.

His colors are very vivid (standing out in sharp contrast to the Combiner Wars figure) giving him a striking look. Like all War For Cybertron figures, he's covered in 5mm ports that allow quite a bit of options when it comes to attaching accessories.

His vehicle mode for the inner robot is rather lame, but attaching the extra bits of his robot mode armor turns him into a larger, nicer looking vehicle. When transforming him like this, though, some of the parts need to be pressed together pretty firmly in order to make sure everything fits so you may wish to supervise smaller children who are trying to do so to make sure they don't accidentally break anything.

Finally, if you feel that his five weapons aren't enough, Ultra Magnus's color scheme goes very well with Deluxe Class Weaponizer Cog, so you can bulk him up into a full-on walking armory. And the size of his feet means that he won't have the stability issues most smaller figures tend to wind up with while carrying a Weaponizer.

Best Ultra Magnus figure to date.

Great update for one of my favorite Autobot figures. Great detail, paint apps and articulation. It is much smaller than the previous Ultra Magnus Generations figure but has about the same weight to him.

The downside is that the transformation is really cumbersome. It requires unsnapping all of his battle armor and forming the trailer while changing what looks like a white colored Optimus Prime figure into a truck. I would give it five stars if the transformation was cleaner and easier to execute without a manual.

Initially I was on the fence on the WFC Siege line, but as a fan of the classic G1 toys I had to buy Ultra Magnus. When it arrived, I was kinda surprised by how small he was compared to previous series' Leader Class figures, but he's solidly constructed and intricately detailed. The plastic quality on these WFC Siege figures seems to be much better than previous Transformers toys.

Transforming Ultra Magnus from his fully armored mode to his vehicle mode is a little fiddly but looks great once set up, and in his unarmored mode he still looks imposing and well detailed. Definitely recommended for any Transformers fan of any age.

Best of Siege so far

This is the best figure in the Siege line so far. I love the detail in this figure. While I consider Ultra Magnus in his "armor" to be his true form, Hasbro did a good job of making the Optimus like Magnus be able to convert to the true Ultra Magnus. So depending on your preference, you can go with either one. While the cab transforms into an Optimus like figure, it's not the same mold.

Ultra Magnus Leader Class... finally a good one!

I have to admit that I was really excited as a collector to get a good looking Ultra Magnus which was in line with the original look. I have a couple of smaller sized ones, but I really wanted a leader class, as Magnus is supposed to be Optimus scale. I'm really not disappointed with this iteration of Ultra Magnus. The battle worn paintjob works great on him and there's plenty of details. I would definitely recommend it.

Awesome! If you are thinking about buying this- DO IT! Sturdy, unlike other series of the new transformers. Bought this Ultra Magnus and Starscream (both Siege series) as a gift for my son, he loves them! Easy to transform. He really likes the 4 modes for ultra magnus. Will be buying more from the Siege series. Also, item was packaged well with fast shipping.

The figure has a large posterior. But thats okay! Lots of play-ability here. I love busting him apart and combining him over and over again. Highly recommend if you are looking for bang for your buck play pattern

A solid homage to two different toy lines.

I love a lot about this figure. They managed to combine the Robots in Disguise Magnus vehicle with the g1 robot look. The figure is a bit expensive for what it is (an armored up voyager class figure), but it's solid and well put together. Some of the "shellformer" ideas from the movie line are in play here, with a fair amount of folding out panels to create vehicle mode. But it works very well.

i like the removable armor feature when you take the armor off you get a white optimus prime
