Extreme Mist (PCS) system attaches to almost any backpack hydration system or bladder. (BLADDER IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS PRODUCT) It is Compact, lightweight, hands-free, and professional-grade. The ExtremeMist PCS (Personal Cooling System) provides a continuous fine mist in front of you, creating a cooling cloud with reduced temperatures of up to 30°F. Measuring 7.5" x 3.5" x 1.5", it weighs just 16oz., including its rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. Its high-PSI pump has 8 speed settings, all controlled via wireless key fob. On the recommended hiking/running/cycling speed, water consumption is only about 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 cups per hour and the battery lasts approximately 16 hours. Even at the highest speed, the battery can last about 6 hours. We set up the system to alert you when the battery is low by reducing access to higher speeds. This also makes sure you can still use it to stay cool as the charge diminishes, rather than it just cutting out. This retrofit kit can be installed in your favorite hydration bladder pack - leaving the drinking hose intact for dual use. The kit includes everything you'll need to head out in the heat. This product seems like an awesome thing. I can't wait to give it to my dad for Father's Day. I'm really concerned, however, because this is clearly not a new item. It has been opened before. I have no idea if this was an amazon return or someone opened it to look at it for some reason. I'm assuming all the pieces are there, but I have no idea. Once he gets it set up, I will change my review based on what I find.

Love it, about to use it this weekend at the amusement park. Will give an update afterwards. Was easy to connect all the tubes. They have a installation video on their site that makes it easy to just follow along.

I just received my ExtremeMist and honestly, I couldn't be happier.

The materials are high quality, the set up and charging were very simple and the result was even more than I had hoped for. I tried it on the warmest day recently and even walking uphill at a quick pace, I was perfectly comfortable, actually I was cool from the misting which made for a perfectly enjoyable hike. The only drawback was that I got stopped by people of all ages on the trail asking me where I got my personal misting system :-) and I couldn't help but giving them all a quick sample by pointing the mister in their direction. I can't even imagine having lived in Arizona for so many years without it. Whether you like to walk, bicycle, hike, climb, run or just sit in your backyard on a hot day, it's really an incredibly well constructed personal misting system and water bladder for drinking. I love the remote too and being able to control the strength of the misting depending on how I feel at any given time.

I can't even imagine how much more enjoyable this product will make any outdoor activity or event on hot days. Barrett Jackson, Spring Training, Golfing, art fairs, etc...I won't leave home without it.

This is truly a great product.

Cools me down with a fine mist!

I got an Extreme Mist kit to cool me down and extend my hiking season in our beautiful desert mountains. I was nervous to cut the tube on my Camelbak but moved forward and everything turned out fine and worked. I wish there were fewer steps to the assembly process, the instruction sheet and online video were helpful and complete. I see now that Extreme Mist offers a "just add water" hydration pack with the cooling system already installed - that will be the version I will buy next. Glad this is available, definitely well worth it if you are active outside in the heat.

I bought two. One for myself and one for my girlfriend. They work exactly as shown in the video and they are amazingly effective in helping keep us cool. We love them! I'm totally bonkers about it. We hike, garden, and I also work outside sometimes.... Being able to wear a lightweight personal misting system is fantastic. It gets way too hot here in Arizona - to be able to press a button and get some cooling is the best.. I love being outdoors and being active. My ExtremeMist makes me way more comfortable. It's easy to control your amount of mist too... one thing to know for sure- what I learned....I take long hikes and if it's blazing hot I tend to crank the mister up to keep myself cool. If you do that too, you need to make sure you understand how much water the mister uses and how much you are drinking -- monitor your water levels to make sure you have plenty if you're on a hike. I love this gizmo. Very cool!!

A lifesaver in Arizona!

This is a product that anyone who does anything outside needs! If you're hiking, walking, working or just want to stay cool outside this product is a must. From opening the package to assembly to practicality it is a product that should have been invented long ago. Kuddos to the one who thought it up and made it available for everyone. I have used this hiking, mountain biking as well as working in the backyard and love it. No problems so far and I would highly recommend it.
