Many rechargeable batteries are sold with highly questionable power ratings. These Eneloop Pro batteries, however, meet the spec extremely well. On the detailed packaging they claim 2550mAh typical, with 2450mAh minimum. I have a Maha MH-C9000 charger which provides a high performance set of battery tests, including a 40 hour charge/discharge/charge recycle test that accurately shows the true battery performance on a 0.2C discharge test. So far I've put 12 batteries through this test getting the following power ratings from each: 2560, 2572, 2563, 2556, 2589, 2580, 2541, 2550, 2582, 2564, 2549, 2581. Frankly the consistency of this range is extremely impressive which is important when you're using more than one battery in a device you want them to be close to each other in performance, and the fact that they average above 2550mAh is also extremely impressive.

For use in a camera flash gun (my primary purpose) the most important aspect is the battery power when shorted, so by testing the current delivery of the battery simply by shorting it out with my multimeter gives a very accurate indicator of how the batteries will perform in my flash gun. My initial tests showed a range of 8.65 to 8.8A.

As a final test, my Nikon SB800 flash guns specs a recycle time of 4 seconds when used with NiMH batteries, pleasantly these batteries yielded a time of 15.8 seconds for 5 full cycles, wow 3.16 seconds each cycle for a 100% full power flash cycle on this big flash gun, that's impressive!

I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on rechargeable AA batteries. I have tried a bunch of different kinds including the plain Eneloop AAs. These Eneloop Pro batteries are best. And although the Pro batteries cost more they wind up being cheaper because they last. They seem to tolerate over discharge better too. That will kill many kinds of rechargeable batteries. These will survive over discharge much better than other brands. These will last. And like I said, in the long run they are actually cheaper. Get 'em.

Update 9/15/19 I ordered two more packs. I had to remove two stars from my rating. One pack was already opened and missing two batteries. Of the fourteen that were left, 13 checked out ok and one was completely discharged. Disappointing since it was sold by Amazon, not some third party jackleg.

Love these batteries! As a professional wedding photographer who is used to changing flash batteries several times in one wedding reception... these little guys came in handy! In fact, I bought too many thinking I'd have to change them often! Made it through an almost 6-7 hour reception with only OCF lighting and didn't have to change these once!! In fact, i had replacements in my pockets for all of my OCF's for the sparkler exit and STILL didn't have to change! They are a lifesaver!! Can't believe I've photographed weddings for 6+ years without them!!! GAME CHANGERS!

I use these in my Nikon SB900 flash, they're super powerful, refresh fast, and last for hundreds of shots. Highly recommended. They do take a long time to charge, so buy multiple sets. So far so good, I love them. Plus, they're not going to corrode your electronics if you forget and leave them...

Like the title says, these are the only rechargeable batteries worth the money. I even send these out as presents to people who complain about their weak batteries. The black ones give you extra power for things that need more than the white ones. DON'T BUY THE RED ONES!

Purchased the 16 pack AA eneloop pro batteries and I am not disappointed. Outstanding power, easy to charge (with the new Panasonic BQ-CC55KSBHA quick charger), and the same reliable battery i have with my other eneloop batteries.
