Solid set of bluetooth sunglasses, but don't buy these expecting too muchby Phil (4 out of 5 stars)

I have a few pairs of headphones already. But sometimes I don't feel like wearing them when I take walks.
These bluetooth glasses fit the bill for that purpose.
Build quality seems alright. Arms are plastic though.
For most guys, definitely get the Alto. The Rondo seems to be very small to wear. For people with smaller heads, the rondo might be fine for you.
These seem to be decent at blocking the sun. But there are pairs of analog glasses that do a better job in this price range.
It comes with a carrying case and a Magnetic USB charge cable. The magnetic part clips to one of the arms to charge. Similar to what you would see on some Macbook pro computers.
You can make phone calls on these glasses as well. Which is always nice.
You can simply turn these off by flipping them upside down. They will shut off after a few minutes.
How is the sound? Decent for what it is. It's sufficient enough. But don't expect to get the sound of the Quiet comfort 35's or anything. I think some people expect too much from specific devices that are physically not capable.
There are speakers on each arm that fire on to your ear.
There is sound leakage when you put the volume high. It's not bad unless the person is within a few feet away. The claim that only you can hear the sound is pretty much half true.
Battery life seems alright. But don't expect this to last anywhere close to a full pair of wireless headphones.
Would I reccomend these? Yes if you want glasses that block out the sun, and have the bluetooth capability.
But like I said, understand the limitations of this product before buying. It's up to you if you want to buy this product.
Experience with Bose Frames

Recently purchase Bose Frames Alto.
My main purpose was to use them for walking the dog and golf (both practice and during a round).
I have had them a week and thought I would provide a quick review.
When I first opened the box, I was slightly disappointed since they don't look like high end sunglasses. The frames are a mat finish and kind of look like 3D glasses from DisneyWorld. The case is pretty large and the bows look "thick".
However, once I put them on my reservations disappeared.
The quality of the lens seems very good and provides a clear, shape image on par with my Maui Jim's that I use for golf. My concerns about the thickness of the bows didn't play out either since the glasses feel very comfortable on my face.
I do wish the nose piece had padding or a piece of rubber, but I didn't have any issues with them slipping.
I was very impressed with the sound from the speakers and the fact that no one else could hear the music. I played golf on a windy day and never had issues hearing the music (or my partners cuss). More importantly, they couldn't hear what I was listening to.
Now, don't expect to get great bass or anything since there is only so much you can do with speakers that aren't covering or in your ears, but I was very happy with the sound.
Battery life was very good. I had the volume so it was comfortable for me and they lasted the whole round (just a touch over 4 hours). I didn't play continuous music, since I did pause it once in a while, but I am sure I listened for 3 hours easy.
The other thing that really impressed me was the bluetooth range. I left my phone in my bag and I often would be 25 yards or more from the bag with no loss of connection.
When I did get too far away, the frames told me and repaired when I got close enough.
The ability to pause with the button was great and I could adjust the volume from my Apple watch.
I think the cons are the looks of the frames and the special charging cable. Wish they had used a micro USB or something other than the special charging cable. Not sure where to buy extras since i know I will want to be able to charge them in multiple locations.
I do recommend these.

Don't work with Spotify

Like the frames, sound. Everything good until I realized they only work with iMusic, not with Spotify. Not changing over. Returning frames. Let me know when they work with Spotify.

So far my experience has been great with these. The audio quality is better than expected, but not surprising given the brand. I read reviews complaining about needing the app to use the glasses. Outside of initial setup, I have not needed to use the app at all. (Well I used it one other time to see the list of AR apps). The only flaw I have found so far, and this is so small it's kind of petty, is when you turn off the glasses and turn them back on they don't automatically connect to whatever device (in my case my phone). You have to go and reconnect it in the settings. Hopefully that is something they can fix in a software update. Other than that the microphone is impressively sensitive. I was testing it's limits by whispering during a phone conversation, and the person on the other line was able to pick up my voice. All in all great purchase. As someone who works in manufacturing, I am interested to see applications for hands free communication of this technology on the production floor.
Cool Bluetooth Sunglasses

I Purchased the Bose Rondo, adding the blue gradient lenses. Easy to pop out/Switch lenses. First noticed/attracted to these on a store display for their style, not knowing they were Bose Bluetooth. Elegant packaging. Arrived sealed with battery precharged at 70%. I've had them for less than a week and so far love them. I'm a little concerned with battery life. A less than half hour walk, playing music and the battery decreased 15%. Volume definitely increases if you have bigger ears or the right shaped ears to capture the directed sound waves. I notice if I'd bend my ears forward the sound noticeably increases. Nevertheless, the sound is very good. It's not totally immersive sound but that's not the point with these. The music or your phone calls coexist with surrounding sounds. Also worth noting, after initial set up, when turned on, Bluetooth connects seamlessly and immediately with iPhone. I read that some say the Rondos were too small for their face. I did not find that to be the case and I have a bigger face, usually requiring bigger glasses. I did contemplate which style to purchase. I felt the Rondos style-wise were a little more hip, But both versions are cool. Again, easy to pop out the lenses. You can have custom prescription lenses or progressive lenses made easily with any credible optometrist.

This works really well! It is my first frame/headset. It is a bit large, but sound is awesomely clear. I was walking in the wind and received a call. i was able to talk and be heard clearly without covering the wind... normally what i would do on the cellphone.
Holding ultimate judgement until later - initial thoughts...

Packaging was good - easy to open and sturdy.
Case is nice and functional.
pulled out the frames - initial thought was damn - these things are gas station cheap! really the frames appear and feel real cheap. for $200 I would expect RayBan material. They look like RayBan wayfarers on steroids big eyes kinda not my style, but I got these for golfing and the Golfshot App and its AR capabilities - will try this feature out soon.

What I wanted was a pair of sunglasses that wouldn't cut off my situational awareness by blocking out sound. Tried "bone conduction" sunglasses which were terrible. These actually work with great sound. Amazing.
I would not recommend these sun glasses

The volume is too low, even at it's highest level. The battery life is too short and the method for turning them off is to hold them up-side-down which is a non starter if you have the glasses on a neck dongle.
Only had this 1 week but superb

Great sound, lightweight; I use it on my train commute and it's perfect, no leakage, nothing on or over my ears, you can hear everything around at the same time.
