This has been one of my favorite purchases to date. It worked as described with two different cat tones. I hid around work at multiple locations within the office, and had a good time at home as well. Only suggestion I would make is to test where you're placing it beforehand. It is much louder than expected, and if it's too exposed it sounds like a fake cat noise, where as hidden (drawer, closet, glove box, etc.) it sounds more realistic since it's a bit more muffled. My wife thought my 3 year old was going crazy since she kept saying, "Mommy, there's a cat in our closet", and our office manager emailed the building manager that our alarm system was making cat noises. I haven't laughed that hard in a while!!

This product worked just as expected. I did not however expect my co-worker to call maintenance. Apparently it takes the local fire department to "remove cats from the ceiling". I'd suggest hiding it in a location other than the ceiling panel....

My nephew wanted to have a prank themed birthday party so I was able to sneak this in the house without anybody knowing and it worked like a charm! I love that once it's found it can be turned off and used another day, plus it doesn't go off often enough for someone to easily track where the sound is coming from. and if it doesn't go off right away don't worry it took 15 to 20 minutes for the first time for it to go off which is great if you need to plan a getaway! Would love to purchase these and other sounds if the need arises!

I was happy to receive my Amazon package while at work and on a lunch break. I was pretty disappointed when I first tried the product as it did not work. Per the instructions, you are supposed to hold the button down for 2 seconds then hear a meow letting you know it is on. I held the button and.... nothing. I pressed the button and released and ..... nothing. I held the button for longer than two seconds and .... nothing. I tossed it back in the package and in the Amazon box to return it. I also bought the cricket which had different instructions and worked. After verifying the cricket worked I started fiddling with the meow-er again. I remembered some reviews talking about a magnet (which is probably just the tiny speaker's magnet). Only metal I had was a screwdriver, and yep, their was magnetic pull. I pressed and released the button one more time and it let out a small electronic "crunch" noise, then a single meow.

Well, it works. The instructions forget to mention that one meow is on. The cat fight meow is off.

It is completely sealed and designed to be thrown out when the battery dies. When it does I will cut it open to replace - it's probably soldered.

It would be MUCH better w/o the cat fight meow. One meow for on, double meow for off. Even though the cat fight meow is too loud, good placement makes the difference. The timing between meows is perfect. Going to be a lot of fun!

Great fun for the office

Used this on a co-worker who was leaving the company. Placed it on the backside of one of her desk drawers underneath a lip at the back of the drawer. There was no way to see it. Worked for 3 days driving her nuts trying to figure out where it was coming from. One of her co-workers nearby thought it kinda sounded like a wounded animal. Her supervisor was in on it as was laughing as hard as I was. Just replaced the batteries and it's ready for a new "victim".

This led to the best day I've had at work in the 10 years I've been there. Had my coworkers in a tizzy and the building maintenance man searching through the ceiling tiles to find the "cat". Worth every penny for the laughs this caused.

I gave this no stars the product never even worked I pulled the tab out and press and held the button like it said till you heard a cat meow ... ya it made a noise like 1/2 a second.. so I then waited as it says it goes off every 15 minutes and after 2 hours of the thing sitting next to me it never went off .. I tried turning it on again thinking maybe I screwed something up but it did absolutely nothing no been no meow nothing so of course I threw away the green bag it came in but just want my money back not happy

I wanted a fun, not scary or mean, prank and this worked great. My teenage daughter lived with it for three days before she said, I think there's a cat in the house! So, basically it worked perfectly and we both thought it was hilarious.

Like other reviews this is a loud Meow so you need to hide it under something. I Wrapped in a paper towel and stick it in my kitchen cupboard which seem to muffle the noise some. I also heard an aggressive Meerowwww like as in a cat fight. It would be more realistic without that sound. Anyway it worked for one day then it stopped. It must've been sent with dead batteries or it just broke for no reason. Would've been a good gag to play on my coworkers. Too bad it stopped working. I sent it back for a refund.

I love this. Hide it good. It has a magnet on it so put it under something. I used it on the job. People thought a cat was trapped somewhere. They ripped the place apart. Great prank. I've used it a ton of times. You don't realize how effective it is when your not around and you come back hours later and everyone is hunting for a cat...lol. totally worth it. It may not sound super realistic but you can't tell if you don't know it's a prank.
