Says Crystal: "I did the first session alone ... and I said, 'You know, this is terrible.'" Director Pete Docter "kept wanting all different line readings of the same line," Crystal says. '"Why am I doing all of these?' I asked. He said, 'Well, in case I change the scene around, and I'll get John to do it.' I said, 'Isn't that just silly? When we can be together and do it together and play the scenes?' And that's what we did.
