It is not obvious how the key fob opens, but easy to do so once you know. The buttons can be pressed in like a normal key fob. The metal key is the same model used for cars and even can have a simple pattern cut out to further disguise the safe. Inside the key fob an internal O-ring allows for a smell proof and water proof container. The keychain can be attached to a key loop for convenient storage.
