First I can relate of the pain that a failed marriage can incur. Now, after reading this great book, I am reasonably sad not to have my ex's wedding dress to bring out to my favorite ball game. Before anyone starts up with "How could anyone do such an injustice?" It is stated in the outset of the book, that the dress was intentionally left behind with the instructions, from the ex to, do whatever he sees fit with the item. That said, Kevin Cotter is a genius, and has the potential to lighten the spirits of anyone who has received a letter from the courthouse issued from a woman, only mentioned here as "plaintiff" sprawled out on it. And wants to rise from the ashes again.

I purchased this book because I saw Mr. Cotter being interviewed on TV. I was impressed with how he handled himself along with the fact that he did not "bash" his ex-wife. I was impressed that the book was about his family and the support he received from them as well as the problems of being a single dad. It was also nice to see that he never once said anything against his ex. I would recommend this to anyone who has gone through a divorce. It may help you just a little bit.

I bought this book for my Dad who was going through a painful divorce. It did exactly what I wanted. It made him laugh so much, but it was also a learning experience and shows that a lot of people have to deal with the same issue. Loved it!

I rarely give a book 5 stars (the last was The Help). This book was deserving for no other reason than it's total originality. I love the authors ability to take a really bad situation and use it as therapy. I didn't put it down until I finished and that didn't take but a couple of hours. The pictures are so funny. I am glad to hear that this guy has found someone to share his life with and that he has moved on. But what a way to go!

I was already a huge fan of the blog, but this book exceeded my expectations. The book is creative and funny, with great pictures and stories. But also great life advice, whether married or not. I expected the humor, but did not expect to be so moved. I would recommend this book to everyone!
