From career to relationships and grooming to gaming and more, the guys’ ultimate man-ual for living.
For every guy too intimidated to ask a question for fear of seeming inexperienced and unworldly, here’s a book to answer all (or most!) of life’s pressing quandaries: Howdo you break off a friendship when it’s not working any longer? What should you cook when a date is coming over for dinner? How do you buy a used car and not get totally taken for a ride? How do you stop a charging dog?
In Man Up!, journalist Paul O’Donnell and his team of knowledgable experts tackle 367 of these tough questions, imparting their advice in short to-the-point answers. Organized thematically, Man Up! is packed with essential advice delivered in prose that is as entertaining to read as it is helpful and clever. The tips run the gamut―from how to mix up a killer punch for a party to how to throw a punch when there is no other way out. Hip, engaging line drawings help to illustrate the advice, providing more than just sight gags. For every young man newly embarking on his independent adult life and for a guy at any age wanting to brush up on his skills, Man Up! is like having a trusted friend helping you along the way―except this friend has all the right answers!

An excellent book that has practical and important advice for any young man.by Joseph J. Truncale,Top Contributor: Boxing (5 out of 5 stars)
September 11, 2013
I have always enjoyed reading books about developing skills needed to survive in our world. This great book provides an overview of vital and practical information every young (or old) man can use to survive in our world. In fact, it lists 367 skills men should master. A very small sample of some of the tips in this comprehensive book includes the following: How to run a marathon, how to play poker, building a social network, how to buy a used car, how to throw a punch, what to do if you are being followed, how to behave in a restaurant, should you rent or buy, how to prepare for a job interview, how to get a good workout using dumbbells and hundreds of other great tips and advice.
This 325 page book is organized into six sections. Section one titled Brand: Me, covers first impressions, dressing well and other related information. The second section, Necessities, deals with home economics, feathering your nest and car companion. The third section explains work issues such as getting a job, how to act on the job, the uniform and when business meets pleasure. Basic skills such as repairs, fix-ups, manly arts, games, gambling, eating out and other interesting tips are covered in section four. Section five provides information on the Birds and Bees issues like foreplay, getting serious and other factors. The final section, Trouble, explains what to do on the road, fisticuffs, handcuffs, lost and found.
In conclusion, this is a book every father should probably give to his son to read. This book can also be used as an excellent reference source because it has an enormous amount of practical information.

Item was received in excellent condition as advertised. Was mailed to me shortly after ordering. The manual has many useful tips and
hints for men of all ages. Covers a wide range of everyday circumstances and how to handle them. I refer to it regularly and share it with my oldest son. Very happy with the manual. Would use this vendor again in
the future.

Great book for any guy. Face it not everybody has a father or brother to teach you some of these things. Even though I knew a lot of these things . I still learned a few new things that I have found very helpful. The book is not a sexist macho manifesto. The advice is very good and I believe a very good read for any guy.

I thought this would have more tips for the modern man (since men today don't have the same skills of our grandfathers or even fathers). Most of this is common sense.
