very delicate, can be frustrating.by Ashley K. (3 out of 5 stars)

I was really excited to get this. Ive been working on it for some time now.... over all this is a very neat project, but the directions (which are picture illustrations) can be unclear, so sometimes its difficult to tell just how the pieces need folded. I have had (so far) 3 of the pieces tear or begin to tear when I anchored them with the pins.
Amazing but is a lot of work to build and requires care in the construction process.

I built this with my 16 year old son. It took several weeks and a few of the pieces are tricky but we managed the complete skeleton and it looks great. Its in his room, 6 foot tall, behind some drums so his 4 year old sister can't damage it. We tried taking photos of it playing the piano and stuff like that but it didn't work very well as something you pose. Hanging up on the wall its great and the 4 year old has added a face mask, pink wig, earrings and skirt.
You have to fold every single bone in the spine and that took ages. We started doing ti wrong and had to go back and correct stuff. The thighs are also difficult, but otherwise its fine.
Bought this for my wife and the best part was building it together

Bought this for my wife and the best part was building it together. It took us about three weekends (a couple of hours every Saturday) to put the whole thing together.
Hope it's the same one that I constructed years ago....

I just ordered one of these, and it should arrive soon. If I am correct, this is the same model I bought from Costco in 1987, just before starting graduate school. The original was much worse for the wear after about 7 moves to 3 different states. Twenty-five years and one Ph.D. later (mine!), I'll see soon enough if this is the real McCoy. If it is, and if you decide to get one, plan for a moderate challenge for a beginner, and a huge amount of satisfaction (beginner or not). Mine served especially well for photo-ops when friends visited....it really is life-sized! Wrapping its fingers around a martini was a little tricky, but worth it.
excellent product

About 30 ears ago my friend completed the same brand paper skeleton which was eventually mishandled and destroyed in a move. I was asked for a new one. The first one was fun and interesting to build and a novelty when it was completed and hung up. Unfortunately the new one was on inferior paper with tiny, hard to read instructions. The connectors pull out and the paper tears and has to be repeatedly taped. The instructions are in type that is so small and unclear that my friend finally gave up. Too bad, it was once a great product.
Excellent model

This is a fabulous paper model- a life size, fully articulate skeleton made only with factory perfortated (so you don't have to worry about cutting it out!) light cardboard and (included) tacks to attach pieces to each other. It's amazingly detailed and life-like, and impressively sturdy. It's a fantastic alternative to expensive medical skeletons.
