We love this prism so much! We have it hanging in our front door window (facing North West), and around 5:30pm every day, we get the most spectacular show of rainbows in our home! Very uplifting and so much fun for our 3 year old who is learning about the spectrum of light!

This suncatcher works but not nearly like I hoped it would. I was expecting more rainbows off it than we get. I have it hanging in a window and am hoping as we head towards sunnier days it will really put on a show! It is easy to hang and the suction cup on it has held with no problem.

This will add huge amount of dynamic colors to your house. It just needs to have direct sun. I have a 400 lumen flashlight that wouldn't create any rainbows, so I used a million candlelit powered light that did the trick. I know some of the other reviewer's photos look fake, but it really does look like it.

Good news & bad news....

Bad News 1st... suction cup sux, does NOT suck to window great, so disc fell & cracked right in half due to poor suction quality of teeny tiny suction cup to stick to window...

Good news.... It still works & is gorgeous in the sunlight!!! This is my 3rd one... I had one years ago & the exact same thing happened, then I bought another & left it behind when I moved, so I bought this one & forgot about the horrible suction quality till it broke too...

Throwin' Rainbows

I've had this for a few years now hanging in my kitchen window. The sun is only at a low enough angle during winter, which makes the surprise rainbows a lovely pick me up each season. I always forget about them til they start showing up again. It's funny to watch the cats try to chase the dancing lights too.

The colors this sun catcher makes are beautiful!!!! It's a fantastic product. I was also surprised with the quality. It is well designed and does NOT feel cheap. It is made of plastic but looks and feels like it is made of some kind of metal and glass. It is aesthetically pleasing visually. And as far as creating beautiful rays of color this sun catcher does just that! When hit with DIRECT sunlight it will create very sharp, clear streaks of rainbow rays. They look like beautiful lasers on your wall. But once again it has to be DIRECT sunlight so play around with the spot you feel the sunlight will produce the best results. OVERALL this product was well worth the buy, and I highly recommend it for anyone considering it as a gift for a loved one. I love it so much I actually will be buying two more for myself and one for my younger cousin once I find out if his house gets direct sunlight from the window. I encourage anyone who has been put off by the REVIEWS of this product to ignore the low reviews. I read the reviews before my purchase and hesitated thinking this product was a cheap toy and a scam. IT IS NOT. It is exactly as advertised and just a little bit more surprising as far as quality. Do not hesitate to buy this sun catcher if it's just what you are looking for. You will not be disappointed!

I do like this.. It does exactly as advertized and the rainbows it creates are extremely bright with very deeply saturated colors. They are static and arranged to make stripes that point inward around a circle. I"m not a huge fan of this forced form, but the result is a lot of nice rainbow patterns none the less. ( I guess I'm still looking for that item that simply fills my room with a single large rainbow ). This works very well to lay down a colorful rainbow base in combination with the Kikkerland Window-Mount Solar-Powered Heart Rainbow Maker.

Absolutely Love this product. Sturdy Construction and very beautiful creation of the Rainbow. If the Sunlight is direct, Brilliant and sharp Rainbows are created in circular fashion.

I get direct sunlight all year long (Go LA) and this brilliantly lights up my living room in the evening. Whoever sees these colors are very impressed.

Sturdy construction and can withstand some falls. Would definitely recommend this product.

OBSESSED. I live with my bf and he ordered this for me as a gift and we both love it so much. Even his guy friends compliment all the rainbows when they come over. It's smaller than I expected but it certainly projects rather large rainbows so size really must not matter ;)

Keep in a dry spot in DIRECT sun

Loved it while it lasted! Literally fills a room with lines of rainbows like no other prism I've seen. However this suncatcher is not waterproof at all and even the rain dripping in from my cracked window was enough to start the film peeling. I kept it in my window anyway and the next week it fell and cracked like an iphone screen. Such a bummer but I would buy again and put in a smarter place!
