Pointed end makes this a great tea scoop too!by Pamela D (5 out of 5 stars)

This is perfect for making one cup of tea. I used to have a spoon similar to this, but the spring mechanism broke after a few years of use. So far this one seems pretty sturdy. My old spoon was not pointed at the end, like this one is, and I find that the point makes it easier to scoop tea out of the canister without having to use a separate spoon. The holes are a good size and don't let a lot of detritus escape, which is good.

This is an excellent tea strainer, as long as it's cleaned between uses. A hot water rinse should suffice, but don't let tea or sweetener dry on this strainer, or you'll have a hard time opening it. It doesn't grab the tea as well as I'd like, but if I manually load the tea in, it holds it well and allows plenty of room for steeping, while letting very little tea escape.

It doesn't really flow water thru good so it takes longer for the product to brew. Cool design tho

I've used one of the these tea infusers for years. They are the easiest to fill, use and clean of all infuser types I've seen. My old one still works very well. I recently gave one to my sister-in-law as a token gift and it was well received. No small wonder after she used a ball screw-on type infuser and a ceramic type infuser that steeps tea in the top part of a cup. I can't figure out why the spring-loaded spoon type infusers aren't more widely available.

I bought it a year ago and it worked fine till today until it broke apart. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner as I noticed the low quality the day I got it. I saw similar products working for decades, but unfortunately it's hard to find high quality items these days.

Compared to a "ball" infuser, this is much easier to clean. It holds enough to make 3/4 of a liter of tea, if you fill it completely.
Works Alright

I am a little disappointed at the varying quality of these spoons. I bought several and some are just fine, but others have mis-aligned spoon halves, so tea often floats out. I also think they're just slightly too narrow, so the tea doesn't expand as well, which can result in a week brew.

This is a great little spoon if your loose tea doesn't have teeny particles to it and you don't like your strong. Neither of those apply to me, but the spring is solid as long as you're fairly gentle with it. I imagine one of my friends will adore it.
Great product, just wrong for me.

There is nothing wrong with this. In fact I searched high and low for a tea holder just like this but once I bought it I realized that once it is in the cup I couldn't entirely cover it for steeping. No fault of the product, fault of the buyer and the way I use it
