Best and most durable splitter I've boughtby Jennifer L. Rinehart (5 out of 5 stars)

This is the fifth headphone splitter I've bought. The others all suffered from the same, unusable defect, they were crapola and broke. Worse the sound quality was crackly and very 1985 (remember listening to tapes with a walkman, yeah, that's the sound quality I'm talking about).
I hook my cordless headphones in and then traipse around the house washing up, folding laundry, making beds (sometimes I do this) secure in the knowledge that the cord pluggy thing will not come undone from the techno starfish I've plugged it into. It has more ports (I think that's what they are called) than we really need, but it is still the most functional splitter.
I love this, I can listen to a book on tape while my hubby watches a movie and my kiddo listens to music, all of us lost to the world for a little while.
When this one wears out I'd order another lickity split!
Works, but not worth using.

You lose a lot of volume/power using this device. Even just using one set of headphones the volume is much lower and less powerful than when plugged straight into the music player. Pretty much useless with more than two of anything plugged in. It does work however so two stars. I don't think you will find any value in this device.

Even knowing there is a lack of quality sound when putting several headphones at the same time... it's a really good product; easy and fun to use too, resistant and it gets the job done. I have mine for over 2 years now and still works great, lately i've been trying it out when mixing music as well, this way i monitor the general feel of the music on each one of the headphones. Using this device simplify the process and makes all more easy. I would recommend it.

Grandkids come over on week ends and tend to blast the big screen TV, so I bought multiple sets of headphones. Problem then was that my TV had only 1 audio out headphone jack. This splitter works perfectly and has allowed me to convert 1 headphone jack to 5. Very happy. One thing I should mention is that I also bought an amplifier for the headphones, as I found out that the more headphones I plugged into this splitter, the lower the volume got. But that is not a problem with this splitter. With this splitter and the amplifier combined I now have a situation where when the grandkids (4 of them) come over they can all watch TV at a good volume without bothering the rest of us.
Clearing out some misconceptions -

There are too many mixed reviews - So hopefully this will clear some stuff out.
First - the pin size is a little tricky. If you have a little nudge at the end of the pin on your headset IT WILL NOT ENTER COMPLETELY or fit properly and hence the audio will be all messed up (MONO) with a poor signal.
I'v seen some iphone headsets and even new PC communications headsets fitting snuggly and giving a good signal.
And yes they will be in full Stereo on all headsets connected. So far iv had 3 work simultaneously with no issues.
There is a very small volume issue - some may feel their headsets outperform others (which maybe a simple brand issue) - and hence 1 volume may not be suitable for all. Though this is a minor problem it does exist.
Very convenient. Ups and downs.

First off you can't find many 5 way splitters out there (or at least i couldn't) and it is set-up very nicely.
The price isn't too bad but shipping is a little too much.
The sound quality of the Belkin is pretty good but the volumes of audio get greatly decreased with more going into the splitter, which isn't a big problem and you can just turn up any volumes you have, but still sort of downgrades some sound quality but not too much. I use this for doing in-ear headphone band practice since we can't afford to put together a PA system together right now, so it is a nice temporary fix for now. We run vocals, 2 guitars and sometimes bass through a mixer, then out through the headphone jack, into the splitter, then out to 3 or 4 sets of headphones. The drums don't need miking so we just leave them out of the mix but overall i am satisfied with this product but just wish there was a little more spunk to it like a volume control of some sort, but otherwise this thing is really useful and looks cool so i would recommend it! Especially for listening to an MP3 player or iPod with multiple people, i have also tried this too and it seemed to work just great!

I bought this for use in my kindergarten class. I wanted more than 1 or 2 children to be able to listen to various electronic equipment at a time. In a busy classroom, it's nice to have some of the noise kept inside earphones! This allows up to 5 children to sit around the cd player, storybook reader or MP3 player and listen to what is being played through headphones. It's very simple to plug into so they can accomplish this on their own, which is a big deal for me as well so I don't have to stop what I'm doing every time to connect another listener. I highly recommend it.
Great Headphone Splitter

This is a great headphone splitter. I use all of the ports. I use it for my computer to hook up many different speakers to my sound card, a long with my secondary sound card for my main speakers. You cannot go wrong if you purchase this. It also allows you to hook up two or more ipods or other music playing devices to it and you can hear them going at the same time. It is great. I love this. Until now, I did not find a splitter with so many ports, but since I found this, I no longer need to use six separate two port splitters. This works the best. Definitely recommended to all.

Bought this for a trip that my boyfriend and I took, and we needed a splitter for my tablet to watch movies on the ride and such. Decided to get this particular one for future trips since he as several brothers that would probably join in, decided it'd be a good idea. Works like a charm, just because it has 5 ports doesn't mean all of them have to get used, but I felt that extra is always good to have. Awesome buy, would definitely re-buy if needed and it was totally worth it.

ordered this a bit back. I still use this regularly and it has worked great to allow multiple people to listen to a show or game on a computer while not disturbing people sleeping in the same room (such as on vacations with group gathered around a laptop and people in sleeping in the next bed)
