The Scallion is one of our most popular knives and the Rainbow Scallion is one of our most spectacular. The amazing rainbow colors are the result of applying the titanium-oxide coating. The coating is created by a process in which metals are ionized, then permanently deposited as a microns-thin metal coating on the blades. The coating is durable and scratch resistant—and looks amazing. Like other Scallions, the Rainbow Scallion features a handy 2 1/4-inch blade, making it the perfect size for lightweight and convenient pocket carry. The high-carbon stainless steel blade offers good edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance. Of course, one of the Scallion’s coolest features is SpeedSafe assisted opening. With SpeedSafe, you can open the blade one-handed. Just pull back on the ambidextrous blade protrusion or push on the thumbstud and the blade moves out of the handle, ready for use. For safety, the Rainbow Scallion has a secure frame lock to keep it locked safely open during use and a Tip-Lock to keep it locked safely closed during transport.

I purchased this knife for my wife. It's the perfect size for her. It's between the Chive that I carry on my keychain and the Leek I carry in my pocket. She loves the finish on it and it keeps her from swiping my Leek! All of the Kershaw's I have purchased (Leeks, Chives & Scallion) have been razor sharp out of the box and are so far holding the edge very well. I had the need to contact Kershaw customer service for a new pocket clip. They were very responsive and sent a new one and screws right away.

Birthday Present for daughter and she loves it! It shaves right out of the box in typically wonderful Kershaw fashion. Thinking of ordering a manly one for me. The action is so sweet from the start too. No oiling, greasing, adjustments, or breaking in needed. Very, very quick smooth opening. Great knife!

Deadly beautiful! I love whipping out my knife while at work when I need to open a box. So much better than the ugly and dull safety knives we are provided. I was worried about cutting myself as a clumsy girl but I got the hang of it. Tip: the little black thing in the way of the blade is the safety lock. We thought it was only for shipping purposes and almost broke it off >_<. You just slide the little screw with your nail!! Oh! Did I mention that I love this knife?? ;)

i got this knife for my wife, and she loves it! she's carrying it in her purse every day. the speed safe is fun and functional, it's VERY sharp, and the color is amazing. it looks better in person then in the pictures, i think.

This is a nice size. It is a good looking knife. It is a little over priced compared to other finishes of the same knife.
