PERFECT for the DIYer or hobbyist who wants to save space and money!by Kate Mahoney (4 out of 5 stars)
April 10, 2017
To start off, I am not a construction worker of any kind. I don't use this table on job sites. I am a 34 y/o woman, mom, scientist but I love me some wood projects! I have a Ryobi 15" compound miter saw that I use on the regular but I don't like to use it in the garage because it gets sawdust EVERYWHERE. I bought this table so that when I want to work on a project I can set my saw up on the back yard patio or in the driveway, work for a couple hours and then put my saw back on the work bench in the garage, fold this table up and store it out of the way until I need it again. So far I'm thrilled with it for those purposes! See my pics for context with the saw on it.
It is REALLY sturdy and heavy duty without being extremely heavy. I can easily carry it around myself, especially with the handles it has! It's made of really durable plastic so you don't have to worry about it rusting. It holds up to 1,000 pounds!!!
It's SO EASY to fold up and unfold once you've learned how to do it and practice once or twice. I love things that are idiot proof.
It's SO SMALL when it's folded up which makes is super convenient for storing just about anywhere or transporting with ease (which is great because I don't have a pickup truck)!
It's SO VERSATILE! You can use this in so many ways and for so many projects and jobs! I've also used it for painting, hand sawing, gluing wood joints together etc. I love that it comes with 2 clamps and that you can keep tools, hardware and other supplies on the lower shelf while covering the top of the work bench with whatever it is your working on. I also lent this to a friend to use it to build grow boxes in his backyard and he loved it!!
My only complaint about this bench is that the first one that arrive was missing one of the feet on the legs. I sent it back and got a new one that is complete. Beyond that I really can't say enough good about this work bench. While I imagine it would be ideal for on site remodelers or construction professionals, I am not one so I won't speak for them, but I can tell you it's PERFECT for the DIYer or hobbyist like myself who needs a work bench but doesn't have a dedicated work shop or a lot of time or money to spend on such things. Hope this helps! For the record, I did NOT receive this for free or at a discount. Paid full price for it, a price that I happen to think is VERY fair and reasonable for what you get!

COMPLETELY FALSE ADVERTISING !!!😡😡😡
This table is advertised as having a weight load compacity of 1000 lbs, in actually on the very first page, on the very first line, it clearly states, "DO NOT LOAD WITH MORE THAN 400lbs". That my friends is a difference of 600lbs!!!! NOT EVEN HALF!!!! Although it looks and feels sturdy, it is not as advertised.
Well designed, but not strong enough in the critical areas. Needs metal or fiber reinforce mechanism

Great product. Well designed and useful in many ways. Seemed sturdy and stable at first, even as a sawhorse with a large tooth blade. About the same weight as my old B+D workmate, but much safer and easier to transport and setup. No corners or items sticking out, just a smooth outer shell. The clamping system also is much more versatile and stable than than the workmate. I do not use it other places than home. However one of the clamps broke when being squeezed, during the first week. It has a plastic ratcheting mechanism, not metal. I am 72 and had a stroke, if I can break it,it will not last for any real work. Then 2 days ago the release latch and lock just broke off. One leg hinge also seems to be not working easily.
Review update 11-16-2017: The latching mechanisms, hinges are made of non-reinforced plastic and they break easily. This table will not last for any real work. If you want to use as a crafts table OK, but no heavy or real work. It is too weak and fragile! Good idea, but get some real engineers to design the replacement.
Great...but be careful when using under-engineered handle!

UPDATED: As promised I am updating once I heard back from manufacturer. Please see the update at the bottom of the review...
I finally got rid of my old B&D 550 boat anchor (man that thing was heavy) and purchased this unit to extend the use of my back a few years maybe. After reading the reviews this model seemed to be the best one for me. I was pleased with how quickly the unit showed up (3 days) and upon unboxing and giving it a try I was very pleased overall w/ weight, setup and sturdiness. I have used a few times now and it continues to perform well. I like the shelf space and the clamps seem to be solid though I have not used them that much as yet. Unfolding/Folding is easy for sure.
That is all of the good... now for the bad.
On the third use after folding the unit, grabbing the grey swivel handle and hefting back to the garage the handle broke (both swivel point) sending the, thankfully, not too heavy table crashing down on my croc-laden foot.
Upon inspecting the swivel handle design, it is clearly a poor design/construction and I have to imagine others have or will experience the same thing. I have sent an inquiry to Keter and am awaiting a reply. I will update here when I hear back. I'm not keen on returning as it will be a pain to do so and I can't imagine another unit would solve the problem. I may try to reengineer it myself, reinforcing the handle. However, the handle doesn't appear to server any other purpose (structural, etc) and given there is an infection-molded handle on the short side that does provide an alternative. Though carrying it on-end is more cumbersome unless you are >6'4" (i'm 5-9) otherwise you have to curl it.
If it weren't for this flaw I would give it a four. To get a five it would have to be a bit sturdier of course that would increase the weight. I do think that having the adjustable leg model Keter 217679 Adjustable Leg Folding Work Table would be nicer as the table is a bit short for my liking, but that would increase setup time and while i like the clamps on this better I didn't like the fact that there is no storage for clamps.
UPDATE:
As expected and understandable I would need to send back which IMO is too much hassle for the issue. Rather I chose to fix the issue w/ plastic JB Weld (great stuff). I have attached a picture of my repair. I did this to both sides of the handle being careful not to get on the inside so as to allow the handle to move freely as designed. Easy enough.
No response from seller as of yet but now I have wasted about 5 hours of my time with this

Part 1,
I received the bench and used it for about a month while building my new home. It broke after I moved. I contacted Northern Tool and Equipment and they very kindly said they would ship out a new one to me no charge and requested I send back the old one so they could see the design flaw. 2 weeks later I still did not have the table they said they shipped so I called and they told me it was returned to them because THEY shipped it to my old address and not the new updated address I very specifically in writing told them to send it. The new address was at the time of exchange and is the current on file address with Amazon. They then said it is against amazon policy to ship a replacement to my new address and argued with me about the semantics and logistics involved.
Part 2,
I filed an amazon A-Z claim and Amazon returned my purchase payment to me (end of story right... not even remotely)
Part 3,
2 months later I receive a letter from a collections agency (JNR Adjustment Company based in FL) telling me I have an outstanding debt in collections from Northern Tool and Equipment and they are trying to collect on it. Northern tool without ever having felt with me directly and never providing me with an invoice or bill or goods decided to send me to collections. This is disturbing because of the potential significant impact on my 800+ credit score. I reached out to them and they told me because Amazon refunded my money and I did not send back the table at my expense I owed them the full price.
Part 4,
Amazon sends this letter on my behalf
"Hello,

A great concept for a portable table
by Gary Horton (1 out of 5 stars)
April 9, 2018
BEWARE!! A great concept for a portable table. I have really liked it, BUT!!!! I used it a few times and the legs on one side jammed when I tried to collapse it for storage. While working with it to get it to collapse, one of the support hinges under the table top snapped where the pin for the hinge is located which renders the hinge support non-functional. So, I tried to repair it with JB Weld (epoxy), but it does not hold due to the material being polypropylene (found out later). I then removed the hinge (pretty easy to do), thinking I would order a part for repair. So, then, I contacted Keter customer service--they do not provide this part, or, it appears, any part for this product! Also, they offer a very small remedy of a refund based on warranty period. This, in my view, is TOTALY UNACCEPTABLE to not offer parts or replacement of the product! I have realized a very small period of use of the expected life of this product. And, the seller will do very little for the customer when their product fails. BEWARE!
One leg is shorter than the other 3, cannot put clamps back in the holders.

This was a bummer for me. I bought it with high hopes for a collapsible, sturdy table for my table saw. I popped it open and noticed right away that one leg was shorter than the other three. I thought it could have been the floor in my garage so I moved it to the driveway, still uneven. Moved it INTO MY KITCHEN. Still uneven. There's no way to adjust the legs that I can find. So I had to put a shim under one of the legs in order to use it; I didn't want the table rocking when I'm using the table saw (or at all for that matter).
Took the clamps out from underneath and now I can't get them back in. I'm not sure how that's possible. The rail won't fit when the handle fits, and when the handle doesn't fit the rail fits. I tried all permutations and it still won't fit in. Neither of them will fit. Thought it was a user error, so I had both my dad and my brother try. Won't go. Read the manual. Won't go.
Really disappointed in this product. Even more disappointed that I have to ship a 30 pound package back for a refund. Not happy at all with this purchase.
A must have for the small workshop - + tip on storing included clamps.
by Mike (5 out of 5 stars)

My 'workshop' is half a garage so space is very limited. I wanted to have a work table I could feel confident building on and be able to fold up to store easily. The Keter Table hits those marks very well. It's not perfect, but at $70 its a great value.
Pro's:
The super quick set up and put away.
Very low profile when folded - can stick it anywhere, even a closet if you don't have any space.
Sturdy to use - I regularly stand on it to reach high objects and have no worries about it supporting me (~145 lbs).
Lower 'shelves' that hold clamps is a nice spot to toss measuring tapes, pencils, small tools, etc. while working.
Comes with two bar clamps - never can have too many but see Con's for more on them.
Light enough that you can move it around when set up easily.
Durable - the plastic top feels solid, the supports lock in place firmly, the handle feels solid despite other reviewers problems.
Con's:
The bar clamps are pretty terrible. The metal bar dents when clamping making the sliding of the clamp a bit rough. And the clamps don't slide all that well to begin with. The clamping action is fine however. Of note: The release on the clamps (one at either end) are stiff and the one on the trigger handle is completely different than most bar clamps. I keep forgetting that. And I struggle to get the clamp ends to start moving; its not super difficult but more of a frustrating struggle when my other quick grip bar clamps are a joy to work with. I think of them as a freebie with the table so I don't mind too much, but I only use them when I don't have enough other clamps that are easier to use.
The table vibrates something fierce when using an orbital sander on it. Already a loud tool, it resonates even more on the table. Adding weight to the table (cinder blocks) knocks that down but isn't practical. I'm going to use some anti vibration rubber mats under the work piece and under the feet next time I sand on it and hope that helps enough. Same goes for other tools like jig saws.
I don't think it can really hold 1000lbs. While I climb on it without a worry, I wouldn't want to put 10 of me on the table. The table does shimmy a little with weight on it, so a static load of much higher weight would probably be fine but I'd worry a little over the 600 lbs+ But, I'll never ever need that kind of weight on the bench so calling it a con is iffy. If you want to put a car engine on it, I wouldn't push on it too hard...
So-so's:
-- The Clamps --
The clamp slots work well with the included clamps but I find I never use them, since they clamp for side to side movement. Add to that that the clamps are kind of a bitch to use and I never want to use them. I always want to clamp pieces down onto the bench. You can clamp things down along the edges but the underside isn't solid across so you have to move the clamp around a bit to find a good spot.
Putting the clamps back into the shelf in the table is tricky. The first time I went to put them back in the slots I couldn't figure out how to to fit them for the life of me. 20 min later I got them in. The trick is to have the trigger end just a touch forward of the back bar stop. This seems to fit the cut out better. Even still, it takes me a minute to get them right and the fit for the bar length is very tight. It holds them snugly as a result, but it would be great if it was a simpler 'snap in' system. ** If you've had trouble putting the clamps back in, mark this review helpful so others can struggle less. :) **
Between the clamp quality, the awkward release mechanism and sliding, the lack of use of the slots (for me), and the fiddly return to storage... I don't use them much. However, if you want to just grab the table, throw it in the car and drive somewhere to do a little on site work, knowing you have two clamps with you is a nice feature.
Final Thoughts:
I highly recommend the work table and plan on getting another one. It's sturdy and easy to store and a large enough size to work on for most projects.
Side Note:
I wish the toggle clamps on the adjustable version were still included. Those would be VERY useful. I'm considering getting t-tracks and installing them in the table surface. Then I could use something like POWERTEC 71083 5-1/2" L x 1-1/8" W Hold-Down Clamps and really expand the functionality of the table.
so you had better take the advice on the yellow tape

Seemed sturdy. One BIG caution: Even if the legs are staring you in the face when you slight this thing out of the box, you must fight the urge to extend the legs. 65 years of setting up tables told me to follow my instinct and extend the legs, ignoring the yellow tape saying DO NOT PULL ON THE LEGS. The full instructions are inside the table, so you had better take the advice on the yellow tape. Lay the unit on the floor with the legs down, then release the yellow catches on the table top near each thumb. The legs will drop down to the floor. I'd give this 5 stars. I didn't ruin my table, but I heard a nasty pop when I yanked on the legs. Almost destroyed the catches.
The handle broke today 4/10/18 (see photo).
Poor quality & design - Buyer be ware it is not 1000 pound

I looked forward to it's arrival and it looked good. Lightweight as advertised. When I opened the box the handle was broken so I had to return it and get another. The second one arrived in good shape and I was pleased. I did not get a chance to use it for a while. When I used it I clamped a vise to it and sharpened a chain saw blade on it and left the vise on it and did not fold it away. I came back about 2 weeks later and what did I find. The table was on the floor sideways and the vise still attached. The vise weighed about 20 pounds. One of the legs had broken off with it just sitting their with just the weight of the vise on it. I contacted customer support and they are sending me a leg, no apologies, just a leg. I have zero faith in it now and I am waiting for a leg to arrive. The add rated it at 1000 pounds, the manual says 400 pounds and I would guess 125 pounds is what it should be rated for. It could be very dangerous if you loaded it up and could hurt someone. I would prefer to get rid of it but they are not giving me a choice at this time. I buy a lot of stuff thru amazon and the quality is normally good. This is not. Next time one comes in broke, I will not take another. Thanks for listening.
