I use mine for water at workby Casey the Online Shopper (5 out of 5 stars)

Ok I use it for water at work and I love it. Keeps me from chugging the water just because I'm holding the bottle but it's handy when I need a sip. On Hot days I'll carry one to chug and a second in this. And of course it holds a beer bottle perfectly after work too.
Fun, not altogether practical

This little guy is pretty neat. It's better at holding cans or fat bottles than the standard long-neck, which jiggles around somewhat uncomfortably when I walk. The elastic strap is also a touch on the tight side for me and it bunches my pant/short leg while attached.
The holster serves its purpose though. I have two free hands while grilling, and I don't have to rest the beer next to the flames where it heats up too quickly. Most importantly I misplace my beer a lot less often with this on. I've been known to leave a quarter bottle in the kitchen, a half on the grill and then open a new one thinking I must have finished the other two. It's wasteful.
The reactions from people are pretty good too. It draws a smile and a chuckle from friends. Just don't sit all the way down with a cold one holstered because then they'll be laughing at you, not with you.
Hilarious and convenient

I bought this for a drinking kickball league. I didn't expect it to work, but it surprisingly did for the most part. However, when I was jogging over to a foul ball and came to a stop my beer can did slip out and fall to the ground. The wounded warrior could not be revived. Therefore, I cannot give it 5 stars because of the waste of beer. However, still a hilarious little gadget to have around the house. The leg strap is the most ridiculous part, but it's great.
Purchased as a gift

Was given as a gift to my brother in law. Thought he could use it while standing out in the yard or doing some BBQ. He liked it and the gift was a good value.
Does the job

Looks a bit expensive for its purpose when considering materials, but I'm enjoying it. I use it when I sweep or vacuum the swimming pool (two handed jobs) - there's no table or bench nearby to park my beverage so the holster comes in handy.
It's not good for "sitdown" jobs - unless one is careful, the beverage will spill.
I think the strap is pretty useless unless you have an oversize can - If you have a tight fit, the holster wants to lift off your belt. Regular bottles or cans work fine without using the strap.
A fun item that is best used AT HOME

Hilarious and ridiculous. My husband loves it. One does wonder why a "feature" of this particular product is a pocket to hold IDs, cash and credit cards. Where does the manufacturer anticipate the user of this beer holster is going to need to go? A fun item that is best used AT HOME. If you're out and about, driving and doing errands, you really shouldn't have any use for a place to hold your open beer. Just sayin' :)
Awesome.

Bought this for a white-elephant gift exchange and I was regretting having to give it away after I opened it. I actually attempted to get it back by stealing it during the exchange, but alas someone stole it off of me. It was definitely the most stolen item! Need to get another for myself...
Great Dad Gift

Great. Was a gift for my dad and he wears it at the lodge and everyone gets a huge kick out of it. Wish the strap for the leg was just a bit bigger. He's got large legs and it fits a bit tight, and I bet there are men with much larger.
