They sure don't make appliances like they used toby Vickie (1 out of 5 stars)

I had a peanut butter machine years ago and it worked so well. OK never had to chop the nuts and it made creamy peanut butter. I just purchased thus machine and I wish I would have bought a different one. I had to put the peanuts in a plastic bag and used my hammer to break them into tiny pieces. When I put them into the machine, the butter was still chunky. Way too much work with this appliance for the small amount of peanut butter you end up with. They sure don't make appliances like they used to. I would not recommend this particular machine.
Sooner or later it will break

It broke. First this thing has always been very loud. Second the nuts get stuck so you really have to be involved moving the nuts around. Last, there is a red circle casing made out of plastic that holds the metal grinder. The plastic cracked as it can't hold the metal part. Poor design- it will make peanut butter and it comes out pretty creamy but it is only a matter of time before it breaks. I was warned when we bought it. I am just doing a review now but ours broke about a year ago and now that we're cleaning I am doing the review.
Creamy natural peanut butter made fresh

I bought this as a replacement after wearing out my previous peanut butter maker. Absolutely the best inexpensive peanut butter maker around. Just toss in dry roasted peanuts and out comes creamy peanut butter no additives, no added sugar, no added oils! It's not hat simple ❤️
Don't be fooled by the "nostalgic look".

I am seldom disappointed by anything I purchase through Amazon, but this disappoints in a major way! do not recommend this item to anyone. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She had been wanting one for a long time, and was very excited to receive it. After reading the instructions she headed to the kitchen to use it. Part way through its first use the motor overheated and it quit working. If I knew how to give this a lower score I would. Do not waste your money.
Good but very loud

I bought this because my wife was buying her peanut butter at whole foods and it seemed like this would allow us to give her the same product but less expensive and only when she needed it. We found the right peanuts and it grinds them into a nice creamy peanut butter - but it is really, really loud. I feel like I have to wear ear protection. The only other problem is that it is hard to clean the chute where the peanut butter comes out. I think I can solve that by getting a small bottle brush, but nothing I currently have fits in there and peanut butter is not the easiest thing to clean.
I have not tried to grind anything but peanuts so far. All-in-all, I`m happy with it.
It probably works for everyone else...

Normally, if I don't like something, I won't review it - but I feel cheated by this product and I want to tell you why.
The first time I used the machine it blew-up - sparks, flames and smoke. Perhaps it was a one in one thousand faulty build, but I won't be buying another one.
as another reviewer stated- a child's toy-@ best. I ordered the item new

Caveat emptor-(buyer beware)- this item is noisy as hell and ,as another reviewer stated- a child's toy-@ best.I ordered the item new, it arrived obviously in USED condition- It was not re- packaged correctly in its box and ,to top it off, had nut "debris" from the previous purchaser in it, which I found to be repulsive.I nonetheless cleaned it so that I could check its functionality (ran it without any nut product in it).Someone restocked it without checking it,undoubdetly. It does not look to be an item that would last for any length of time or yield a good volume of product before it "crapped out". Forget about clean up!! all plastic and small in size- wishful thinking on my part in the purchase-should have known better.

I have tried to make various nut butters with it. Nothing worked. Contacted the manufacturer, they claim that I am not following the product directions. What directions? Does not come with any. Can not be returned because of it being "food contaminated". Waste of money.
Too Small

I agree with one of the other customers about this product. It is very small and good for having fun with kids, not actually making lots of homemade peanut butter.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Do not bother buying this machine because it will simply fall apart after a few days. I used this machine according to it's directions yet the whole machine fell apart. The motor is too strong for the casing around it so it falls to pieces.
