Got this in today and all the edges are completely scratched up and missing the gold finish.. kind of ruins the realism of the whole thing. I'm pretty pissed as this is a Christmas gift and it looks used.. Christmas is 5 days away and now what should have been the perfect gift i might as well throw away. I will be quite embarrassed to give a used looking gift...
You can tell by looking at it that it looks like plastic. Plus its hollow and the weight shakes ...

Didnt look the same as advertised. You can tell by looking at it that it looks like plastic. Plus its hollow and the weight shakes in the inside, if you try to hand it to some one you have to make sure it dosent rattle

This item looked great at first but it was wrapped in a lot of tape (which was meant to protect it during delivery) however, it was very difficult to remove and in fact it ripped of a lot of the gold paint and absolutely destroyed the look of the gold bar. It was meant to be a gift and I was very disappointed with the quality and how easily the gold came off.
Not the best but works as a gag gift.

Arrived with one of the corners dented in but since this was meant as a gag gift, it didn't concern me much. Also, when I peeled the protective plastic off the top, parts of the "gold" peeled off as well. Again though, it was a gag gift so it didn't upset me much.The bottom is made of plastic and the "bar" has some good weight to it. If you want to use this as a serious gift, I'd say skip this. As a cheap gag gift, it'll work.

Lots of comments and chuckles from guests and service/repair people. Could be a bit heavier to hold back those heavier, pesky doors. I bought this to replace a rubber door stop. Not as heavy as I expected, but then the shipping would probably not have been free. Plan to fill it with something to add weight so that it will push and hold the door back completely. It could also use some rubber stoppers on its bottom to keep from sliding on linoleum floors.
Sadd things is I might try again because the others are much worse!

It is a gold brick but the bottom is cheap plastic and looks horrible (which was not shown or mentioned in product details)

As a doorstop it does what it's supposed to do. I was hoping it would look like real gold bar that you could hand around. It has the weight of a gold bar, looks like one from the top but the bottom is plastic with rubber feet and very cheaply built. Overall you get a nice doorstop with a glossy gold finish as advertised.

They do not weigh 1kg as stated (not any way near, just hollow plastic) and are not fit for purpose as a door stop. I would also question the source of some of the positive reviews referring to "polished metal" "heavy weight" etc
