AWESOME, A MUST BUY

YES it works!! Bonus tip here. Mix about 4 oz of fabric softener in a 32 0z spay bottle and VERY LIGHTLY mist the carpet or floor mats (wet is bad). Use rubber gloves like you would use to wash dishes in really hot water and just use your hands to roll up the pet hair. This will get all that hair in the nooks and other areas you cant use the Fur-Zoff as well as the majority of all the hair. Then bring in the closer. This will get 100% of any hair remaining, it is really great. I have 2 WHITE/GRAY snow dogs and my all black Wrangler interior often looks like a snow storm blew through after even a short trip. Between my rubber glove wipe down and Fur-Zoff I'm absolutely hair free in 15 minutes.

Maybe not the best option for "short" pet hair ...
by David Israel (2 out of 5 stars)
November 12, 2017

We purchased this Fur-Zoff to clean an older clean that car that we transport our yellow lab in. The car has dark interior and her yellow hair is a real eye sore, in the vehicle. Based on the reviews that we saw and videos that we watched, on YouTube, we had high hopes for this product. We followed the directions and even tried some additional step (suggested by people who use this product and who professionally detail automobiles).

Sadly, the Fur-Zoff did not work well at all for removing our dog's hair from our car. I suspect that the problem is due her hair being short (she is a yellow lab with short hair). The videos that we watched looked like they were picking dog hair from a long hair dog (and it looked like it worked great).

Fortunately, we purchased a silicon brush (off of Amazon) at the same time as the Fur-Zoff and the silicon brush worked quite well for her short dog hair.

We did lightly spray a 1:7 mixture of fabric softener and water, over the rugs, prior to using the Fur-Zoff and silicon brush (this really does make it easier to get up the dog hair).

If you have a short hair dog (like ours) then the Fur-Zoff may not be the best option for you. A silicon brush may be a better option, for short pet hair. If your dog has medium or long hair then, perhaps, your luck with the Fur-Zoff may well be better than our was.

Hope this helps any prospective buyer, who may be looking for a product to help get their pet hair out of their automobile.

Lives up to its name.

This product lives up to its name. Dog or pet hair cannot simply be vaccumed up. Some hair will be picked up by a vaccum, but for the most part the hair will remain embedded in the carpet. I used the Fur-Zoff on the carpet of my car and it sure did the trick. It literally picked up the hair. And after you get the hair piled up just simply vaccum up the clump. Be very careful around edges of plastics, etc. because it will scratch it. I accidentally got careless and knicked the bottom of my center counsel. Around the edges I would recommend a rubber bristled brush. Just brush the hair to the center and let the fur-zoff do its thing. Now I can understand why car detailers charge extra for pet hair removal. It is very tedious but well worth it. I highly recommend this product. And it doesn't cost much too, which is an added bonus.

Thought it was a gimmick - works great on car floor and trunk!
by Fab Fam! (3 out of 5 stars)

11/27/07 update: I changed my review from a 5-star to a 3-star because, as noted in my original review, it eats up the upholstery fabric. I did not use on my smooth seats, however I had been using on my trunk and floor as the fabric is 'rougher'. The thing is, it just seemed to 'age' the look of it, it just seems a lot older than it used to, so I stopped using it.

Honestly, I thought this was a gimmick. I'm frustrated at the amount of sellers on Amazon that create fake reviews... but thought I'd give this a try.

I'm so glad I did! It is rough, so I would be careful using on a smooth upholstery surface. But for the floor and trunk of our car - a place where the vacuum barely works - this was amazing!

Beware of hitting it along plastic surfaces, it will scratch them really easily. Also, I read reviews that it was a rip off because it was just a pumice stone. It does look like that, however it is made from foamed glass so although they look the same it is two different materials.

It won't need to be replaced, unless I loose it, so I am happy with the purchase and feel it was with the money.

This is a life saver for detailing cars. This probably saved me 2 or 3 hours detailing one of my Audi's.

Best hair removal tool ever
by david r (5 out of 5 stars)

Holy cow this is magic. I have a 230 pound Mastiff. I have purchased any and everything claiming to get dog hair off car carpet. I have used at least 3 different vacuums and attachments. Lately I have been using a microfiber towel because it had some grip. Then this piece of magic arrived. It gets every single hair no matter how embedded. There were hairs I had a hard time removing with my fingers. The Fur Off pulled them right out. This has reduced my hair removal time in half!

Thank you for this savior of a tool.

Awesome!!!

I am not sure what the bad reviews were all about but I recieved this today and it's awesome! I promptly took it to the bedroom and took one swipe on my comforter. It immediately removed all fur in that one area. I quickly removed the rest of the fur on the comforter. Then I moved to the welcome mat. Again, a few swipes and all fur came off. This thing sort of pulls the fur with it and leaves it in tufts as you go. Way to brush or wipe off from there.

This thing is really rough so it will scratch hard or plastic surfaces. But if you use it correctly on the intended surfaces for the intended use, it's amazing. I have two dogs and two cats so lots of fur. Using this made me feel like I was really picking up what the vacuum just missed. I will use it on my Jeep's carpet next but even just for removing fur from my home I am impressed. I had some fur on my pants when I was done and a light brush of the stone removed it.
Do be careful and do a light test on new fabrics though. I realized this does work on my couch, but if I went rough then it would definitely snag the fabric. This is a bummer but I'll just go lightly or keep using the vacuum and other means. I may even purchase another to have around. Totally satisfied and utterly impressed.

Obsessed!

I do a lot of volunteering with a dog rescue. I foster dogs and drive dogs to and from adoption events, so I have lots of dogs in and out of my car (of all different breeds). I do put a car cover in my back seat, but you know, fur gets everywhere and stuck to the back of the seat, too. My brother's dog even leaves this little eyelash looking fur that gets stuck to the back of my cloth/microfiber seats. No matter how much I've vacuumed, used lint/tape rollers, etc., it never just really works. I came across this little gem, and I'm so excited. It's minimal effort (gentle swipes across the seat) and got that fur right off! It was time consuming for my first use because there was so much car to swipe, but I didn't mind. I'm a total fan of this thing!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This did not come in packaging like the photo but in a ziplock bag and it had crumbled off bits and pieces. It doesn't so much clean up my dog's hair off anything as it just leaves behind little bits of whatever this is made of. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

10,000 stars for this! Get it, go forth, and de-fur with confidence!

So after years of being That Person (you know, That Person - the one no one wants to ride with because it looks like a billion Tribbles exploded in their car?), I finally decided enough is enough. Then I looked at my wallet and realized getting it professionally detailed is out. Ugh.

Folks. I cannot tell you how many google searches I did for the best way to get pet hair out of upholstery. I cannot tell you the amount of time, energy, and swearing I've spent trying to get fur out of my car. It's like someone glued it down. I tried kitchen gloves, various attachments on the shop vac, my vacuum, sprays, squeegees, brushes, rollers, tears, and offerings of the finest shampoos. Nothing has worked even half as well with even literally 10x the effort. NOTHING.

So. I was watching a youtube video where this guy was using this pumice stone thing, and thought it looked promising. Amazon to the rescue! I have to say, I 100% agree with the packaging but hey, function over form, amiright? HOLY CANOLIES, PEOPLE. THIS THING GOT TONS OF FUR ON THE FIRST SWIPE. Subsequent shorter swipes got the rest in seconds. Who knew how satisfying it is to see a swath of clean upholstery??! This is something worthy of UFYH (google it - worth looking at before/after pictures for inspiration when you have a mess and also have a bad case of the I Don't Wannas.). After spiking my imaginary football and doing a rather obnoxious end zone touchdown dance, I went to work and ultimately filled up a plastic grocery bag with fur. Kind of horrifying to actually SEE what is under those seats.

I will note that I was initially nervous to use this on the seat part of my car seats. They're normal upholstered seats, I wasn't sure if it would mar them. I am relieved to report, it did NOT damage anything! Didn't even leave little streaks behind. Just be careful not to scrape this along the plastic of your console and trim. I have not scratched mine, but I don't want to and I'm pretty sure this would leave a mark. Most likely buffable, but still.

There are a lot of different ways to scrape, and for me personally, different methods work better for different areas. For example, long, straight swipes in the back floorboards vs short swipes that push everything to a central spot you can pick up in the front floor board. Other areas it's best to use the very tip of it with short swipes when you're getting into areas close to scratchable surfaces, like the plastic of your console and trim or when you're trying to get the cracks between the seat (don't forget to recline your front seats all the way - it really helps). And be sure to have a trash bag right there with you, as you'll need to pull fur off the stone occasionally as well as the fur you scrape into a pile.

Watch out for dust and pebbles when opening the package, and some bits of this bar may initially flake off. No big deal, just DO NOT open around your child's/pet's face or anything.

This was great for everything except, obviously, the space between the console and the side of the seat. I didn't want to scratch the plastic console, and I still don't know of a good way to clean that space. Stuff NEVER got in those spaces when I had Drop Stops in there (another amazing Amazon purchase, thank you!) https://smile.amazon.com/Drop-Stop-Original-Patented-Filler/dp/B00BYH6C1E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1506617195&sr=8-3&keywords=stop+drop so if you haven't heard about those, look them up. They were on Shark Tank.

Also, for those of us with sensitive skin: To me, this feels like one of those natural, real sea sponges that are super hard. I'm hoping most of you won't understand what I'm talking about, but sometimes this gives me the willies to touch directly. Or maybe it's just that I am expecting to get the willies, so I do. Whatever. When that happens, I just put on some work gloves. I get the willies with natural raw wood and styrofoam, so maybe it's just me.

So, 10,000 stars for this! Get it, go forth, and de-fur with confidence!
