Nicely replaces hard plastic cable ties.by James Sibley (4 out of 5 stars)

The Q Knot Cable Ties are a nice replacement for plastic ties. The problem with plastic ties is that you have to cut them with scissors or a knife when you want to remove them; you might cut the cable or injure yourself (if you're as clumsy as I am). The Q knots snug up nicely then are easy to remove without tools and then you can use them again. Since they are not hard plastic they cannot damage your cables. They are a wider and thicker than plastic cable ties but I do not consider this a problem. The pack comes with three sizes so that they can be used for different different cable bundles (4.5" (yellow), 6" (green) and 7.25" (red)).
Does the Job but has some Issues

These ties do what they say: they work just like zip ties except you can reuse them many times. I found the three sizes appropriate for organizing my computer cables and I'm happy I purchased them.
However you do need to pull pretty hard to get the rubber teeth through the opening. And you'll need to get a good grip on the little end which can be difficult. Not the best if you have arthritis or fine motor limitations. Also not the best for things you will be opening and closing on a frequent basis (there is a picture of bread on their packaging).
The smallest size works for headphones and iphone cables but the ends stick out quite a bit after tightening. So if that will bother you don't get them.
They are definitely secure once tightened and will not slip open, and you get 25 of them in one package. These are a better price than the other variety of reusable cable ties that is like a wire. But the cost might be worth your while if you want to skip the pull and tug of these Q Knots.
Crumble over time

These were nice when purchased. The were easy and fast to use. I had no problem removing and re-bundling cords with these. However, two years later these are so brittle that when they are unfastened they crumble to pieces. These do not stand up well over time. Another downside to these is that they are fairly bulky. I would suggest going with another cable tie, such as Velcro strips as they are less bulky and last long.
Sounded like a good idea.

I had seen a write up in a magazine about this product and it seemed like a very useful one. The product is very difficult to use. The notched cord will not pull through the loop and I have to stretch it so much I am afraid it will stretch to much and break. To much tugging and pulling and very little usefulness. Disposed of them.
These Are Great!

The Q Knot reusable cable ties are great! I can't believe that I have not seen these before I came across them on Amazon while shopping around for something else. They work great and I have zero complaints about them over-all. The only suggestion would be if they could make them a little less bulky but keep the strength the same, that would be great.
The size in no way is a big issue and as mentioned they do work great - I just think they could be streamlined a bit. Otherwise, I would still purchase more of them again no questions asked.
Great tie knots.

I've had these in the past and required a new set. Was super glad I was able to find them here on Amazon. They're great, easy to use and very secure.
These Things are Really Handy

They open and close easily but stay nice and tight when they are in place. Very handy for holding excess lengths of extension cords for small appliances that you don't keep on your kitchen counter top, like portable mixers and waffle makers. I even use them in the washer and dryer to hold overall straps together so they don't get tangled up or rattle around in the dryer. You can use them for anything you want to hold together temporarily or permanently, they work!

Great for attaching things that you want to remove quickly. I use these to attach things to my stroller then can get them off bore putting it in the car.
Great solution to a rat's nest of cords

I am currently using various sizes for cord organization at my store. Our cash register/computer has so many peripherals and were turning into a tangled mess of cords. I really like that there are a variety of sizes in the pack that allow me to use a size that meets my needs. In an emergency, I've also been known to use one as a hair tie. It may not be the most attractive solution in the world but it's a solution just the same.
Kinda Bulky

Q Knot Reusable Cable Ties / B003B5KP4C
We bought these and some velcro ties at the same time, thinking that one or the other would do the trick for cord organization. These ties have the pretty colors, which can be nice for organizational purposes, but the rubber ties are really thick and kind of bulky. They feel really big for the job, even with really thick lengths of cord, and I can't help but feel they look a little childish. Plus, the rubber doesn't always pull as tight as we can get with the slim velcro ties, so that's been a disappointment.
Still, if you really want color coordination of your cord collection, these will do the trick if you don't mind the added bulk.
