Cute concept but...

If you have NO decorating skills like me, then the concept gets lost. Mine ended up looking like gingerbread men that had been run over by a car or in some type of horrible accident because my decorations looked more like they were in contorted poses and wrapped in bandages instead of ninja gear. I probably would have done better with the Walking GingerDead cutters. At least they were entertaining. Also, I agree that for the cost, they should be made of metal not plastic.

Adorable!

I love these! They make cute cookies and the packaging was cute too. Make sure that you use a cookie recipe that doesn't expand. If your dough expands or puffs you wont have enough ninja detail to make these worthwhile. I used a googled recipe not the one on the package so I can't speak to how well that one works. I was expecting these to be metal and was pleasantly surprised that they were plastic since I usually manage to get my metal ones bent out of shape unless they're the really sturdy Wilton ones. I just bought these based on the picture and the price so the metal thing was just in my head, not anything misleading in the description. The plastic is sturdier than most of the other plastic cookie cutters I've used so I was really pleased. I added a little piece of extra dough to the ninja that's punching and not kicking so it would look like the front hand is holding light saber. Ninjas and Jedis! What could be better?

Got teen-aged boys into making cookies

I bought these to make Christmas cookies with my 12- and 16-year-old male cousins who are really into The Walking Dead and zombies in general. These were a huge hit! We had a blast making the cookies and it made it easy to draw them into an otherwise "girly" activity that they weren't really interested in before. They had so much fun putting red "blood" frosting all over.

fun little cookie cutters

We love these cookie cutters. They are made of plastic, so they are a little more flexible than I was expecting but they do make ninjas. There is one spot between the arm and leg on one where the dough got stuck a lot, but it was manageable. The packaging suggests a way to decorate the shapes to look like cool ninjas but you can be a lot less detailed in your own cookie decorating. One thing to keep in mind if your dough is too thick when you cut it as it bakes the cookie spreads out and makes your ninja look rather chubby. I made these for work and people thought it was very creative and I'll definitely make them for my son's taekwondo tournament as they really are very unique as far as cookie cutter shapes go. If you like the idea, these cookie cutters seem pretty stable and affective and I recommend them.

Good cutters

Super cute! Nice quality. They are plastic which I prefer over metal b/c holds shape and easy cleanup. I had a hard time decorating though. It took me a container and a half of no-taste red to get the icing red (and it still wasn't as red as I would have liked it). It was fairly easy to get the icing black but it tasted like cough syrup. I was using Wilton gel icing. Also the legs are pretty delicate and several broke off even though I was being fairly gentle storing them. I would have preferred cookies to have been a little bigger It was hard to get the details on them. A lot of this I chalk up to user error.

Still super cute

Cookie cutters make cookies better

These are a medium quality plastic, but worth it for the design as a novelty item. I made chocolate cookies with frosted "pants".

Funny shapes for cookies, despite the price.

The concept adorable, my boys LOVE zombies and sharks and love to make cookies. They are made of a thinner plastic, not as thick as others, but not as thin either. Most of my cookie cutters are thicker and sturdier though. Would have preferred them to be metal, and for the price they should have been. They also use them for play-dough, which works ok, just have to be careful they do not break.

No gingerbread men for us - these ones are kicking!

It's fun to make cookies together and even more fun if they are shaped like Ninjas! If anyone in your family/ friends is taking karate, has done so or is a Sensei you cannot go wrong with this product. Everyone always has the gingerbread but we baked several dozen cookies using these shapes and got great reviews from friends (Awww, I want those!). My 7 year old likes to help me cook but never so much as cutting these shapes out. Fantastic and fun!
