Well, it's a corkscrew that looks like a pirate... of course you should buy it. It is not flimsy. The corkscrew "leg" is not jankety or wobbly. I have not had the opportunity to use his "face" to open a bottle cap, so I can't comment on that, and I generally find that the bottle wrappers are prepared in such a way that the serrated knife is mostly unnecessary. However... Pirate Corkscrew! Why WOULDN'T you want to own this?

In memory of my neighbor's husband, his widow and our family celebrate "Talk like a Pirate Day" every year. We exchange gifts, memories, and try to come up with silly pirate stuff. Her husband loved this day and pirates. This bottle opener was the addition to our celebration this year. I was very happy that it came so quickly, and it was very cute and durable. The picture is pretty self explanatory. If you drink wine, you need this. It's a pirate and has all the right tools. The quality seems to be very good as well.

This is the coolest bottle opener! My husband is a big fan of pirate lore so I'm always on the lookout for neat pirate related gifts. Usually we use a fancier opener for our wine bottles but this is great to keep in the picnic basket for concerts on the green.

This bottle/wine/beer opener is hilarious and awesome.

More importantly, it is exceptionally well-made and sturdy. The heavy weight is perfect for cracking open most beer bottles without effort. It seems like it will last indefinitely.

I love this and use it everyday. Come for the cute pirate, stay for the solid beer opener!
