Great-looking, keeps time well. Better instructions at end of this review!by Linda Green (5 out of 5 stars)
January 12, 2015
Bought this watch as a gift for someone but checked it out before wrapping. So cool-looking and substantial, not flimsy. The links won't snag clothing (or arm hair, according to my husband). Everyone who saw it wants one, including me! It kept time perfectly during the several hours I had it out of box. It has 12hr and 24hr time modes, date and a stopwatch function. The setting buttons are easy to use but the instruction leaflet print is rather small, fine and close-set, so reading it wasn't easy, and it seems to leave out info. To save battery the screen goes dark after a couple of seconds if no button is pressed. After getting it all set up, I wrote instructions for my giftee that are easier (IMHO) and more complete; they are included here. A lot of it may seem obvious but others who tried to set the watch found they needed the extra detail.
With watch facing you and buttons on the right, top button is A, bottom button is B.
The buttons are sensitive and should be pressed or held down lightly.
When viewing or changing time, etc., display goes dark after a few seconds, so instructions below start with pressing Button A to re-light display.
The main thing to remember about the buttons is:
Button A lights up display, Button B moves through hour-minutes-month-days, etc., then Button A changes the setting.
The watch is preset to 12-hr. Mode. To change to 24-hr. Mode:
Press Button A once (current time will display, hour on top).
Press Button B 6 times to move through time, date and year to the Mode view.
Press Button A once to change to 24-hr. mode.
Press Button A again to return to 12-hr. Mode.
To read the time:
Press Button A once. An "apostrophe" character to left of the hour (upper numeral) indicates AM.
To read the date:
Press Button A twice.
To view a seconds timer:
Press Button A 3 times.
To set the time:
Hour
Press Button A to light display.
Press Button B to make hours blink.
Press Button A to change the hour. You can hold the button in to scroll through the hours 1-12 (or 1-24) or make individual presses to move 1 hr. at a time. There is no reverse, so if you overshoot your setting, just keep scrolling through the numbers to return.
Minutes
If you have just set the hour and display is still on, press Button B once to move to minutes, which will blink.
Press Button A to set minutes.
If the display is dark, press Button A to bring display back.
Press Button B twice to make minutes blink.
Press Button A to change minutes, either by individual presses or by holding the button down to scroll.
To set the date:
Month
Press Button A to light display.
Press Button B 3 times. The month will flash.
Press Button A to change the month.
Day
If you have just set the month and display is still on, press Button B once to move to days, which will blink.
Then press Button A to change the days.
If the display is dark, to set days press Button A to bring display back. Press Button B 4 times to make days blink. Then press Button A to change the days.
Year
Press Button A to light display.
Press Button B 5 times. The year will flash.
Press Button A to change year. If you overshoot, scroll thru 2080 to return.
Don't Believe The Bad Reviews

I checked the reviews for this watch after it shipped, and I became very nervous that I was going to get a shoddy product in. To my relief, what I received was nothing like what the bad reviews experienced. My watch works, came with instructions, and doesn't appear "cheaply made" like it is stated in other reviews.
I'm a bigger guy, so the long band fits me perfectly. If it's too big for you, just get a few links removed at Walmart or another jewelry store.
There are 4 stars for this because I only see 2 cons to this cool watch. One is that though I received instructions on how to set the watch, I had to have a friend help me figure out how to latch the band together. The other is that it is a little difficult to tell time in direct sunlight, but that's only a small problem. Just use your other hand to get a shadow over the watch and you're all set.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with the product I received for the price I paid. Don't let those bad reviews fool you!
Very cool looking watch

UPDATE: 2 months later, i continue to get compliments on this watch and is working great after a small issue. I started to noticing the time would be off every now and then. The issue is that the lower stem is to far out and if you bump it on anything including your hand (like bending wrist to far back), it would go into set mode. The simple fix is to take pliers and pull the stem out of watch and discard. Then you can use a paper clip to press in and set watch time. After this it keeps perfect time. I did take out 1 link to fit better.
Very cool looking watch. Easily setup date and time and showed a few people after putting it on. You would have thought it cost $100+ on the comments i got. Curious on how it holds up though long term
Broke in just over a month

My original review is below. My revised review is quite simple. Stopped working about 45 days after I got it. Warranty was good for a month.
========
The Pro's - A really sleek design. For the price, you can't beat it. I actually have said to my friends "Hey, check out my really cool $11 Chinese watch!" Big display that's easy to read (indoors).
The Con's - Biggest drawback is that it's utterly unreadable in sunlight. If you want to use it at night or indoors... no problem at all. Also, when I received it I had to have two links taken out to make it fit right... and I'm not a little human... so be prepared to take it to your local watch shop for a little adjustment... cost me $5.
Overall - My four star rating is based primarily on the price. If you're looking for an interesting looking watch that you don't plan to use if you are a lifeguard/construction worker/other type of person that spends more time outside vs. inside, then I suspect you'll like it too.
Great Price, Looks Good, Works Fine

As I see a lot of negative reviews on here, I figured I'd add in my experience with this watch. I received this as a Christmas present, and like every watch I've ever gotten, it was too big out of the box. I took it to a local Sears and a girl at the jewelry desk sized it in a couple minutes at no cost. I saw a lot of people here had trouble sizing it, but in my case a teenage girl at a department store had no problems removing links.
It looks nice and a get a lot of compliments on it when I show people that it's actual a watch. My only complaints are that it's a little hard to read in direct sunlight and if you have something in your opposite hand, you can't see the time as the watch requires a button press to display the numbers.
So after 2 months of use, it's been working without any issues. Maybe I fortunate enough to receive a good model or maybe it will die in another few months, but so far it's been great.
Not like on the picture!

The metal band is much darker, nearing black. It's not silver colored as on the picture.
The leds are hard to impossible to read outside, in the sunshine.
Only good for inside.
The top button shows you the time only. The bottom only allows you to configure the time, and date, and display method (12/24hrs display).
Pressing the top button shows the time, pressing again shows the date, pressing again shows the seconds.
The arm band is way too big for most people. I am a bit skinny, and had to remove over 4 links on the bracelet!
I think it makes more sense to provide the watch with at 2 links on the band separate instead of mounted. The bracelet is too big, even for big people.
The bracelet is molded into a shape. The molding process leaves traces of cheaper looking fabrication.
Some of the leds are a quarter covered by bad molds.
The watch works fine, however it's not recommended to wear it under a suit.
Fits nicely under a casual shirt though...
Not as ordered

It is an inexpensive watch. You get what you pay for. It is a nice heavy piece of jewelry. I ordered a new watch but was delivered a used and returned watch. The ouside covering of he box showed the marks where it had been taped together and the tape removed taking the finish with it. It was re-taped with scotch tape. It was probably returned because it looses time at approximately 1 minute every 2 hours, thats a lot.It was cheap so I wont return it, cost more to mail it back than I paid. I might even buy another one from a different seller, I realy like the watch, just do not like being taken advantage of. I will not buy from this seller ever again.
Decent Gift For A Cheap Price

I bought this as a gift for my younger brother along with another one that was similar in a blue color. It was fairly heavy weighted, and felt durable to touch.
Pros: Felt very durable, lights were bright, and the setup was not to difficult to do.
Cons: While durable feeling, it sure looked cheap. It did not look like a high end watch by any means. That being said, my little brother ended up loving it and the other one I got for him.
Would I purchase again: I wouldn't purchase this again, but then I don't have to, the original still works fine four years later.
Overall a junk watch, good novelty though...

Probably one of the worst watches I've ever owned. However, if you are like me, you are buying it because of the novelty. Not as a serious watch.
First it is super small, didn't really fit my wrist.
Second the light only comes on when you hit the button then goes out, so it's not constantly on (an annoyance for me).
Third... just save your money, unless you want something random and different.
Less than $10 all in, you can't expect much, but it is definitely a weird piece to own. Would I return it? No, because I already expected it to be low quality and just for the novelty. Would I recommend it as a serious watch? Not if it was the last watch on earth!
My husband loves this watch.

My husband is so in love with this watch that he ordered 20 of them to give to his family who he hasn't spent Christmas with for over 10 years. It makes a great modern looking gift. When we recieved the watch he loved it too, the color is great the feel of the watch is great and easy to set. We did have a little problem opening the latch and was not able to just open it with our fingers . I used the side of my steel tweezers to get leverage to open, but once figured out no problem. Also from the photo he felt he would be able to give it his female family members too, but I put it on and it defiantly a mans watch, a little to much for my little wrist. All in all he loves it.
