Product Description

About the size of a baseball, The light mine professional provides 250 lumens of brightness power the functionally designed protruding posts can be used as tripods or quad pods creating a 360-Degree freestanding light. Twelve powerful neodymium (rare earth) magnets are located the end of each post, allowing the user to attach and aim the light accurately and securely in any direction. Powerful lumen tech LEDs are used in the front white Lens (8 LEDs) and back Red lens (4 LEDs). The light mine professional has four electronic light functions, low power spot, high output flood, Red night vision, and a high visibility signal beacon. The light mine professional easily fits into your car's glove compartment as a roadside repair light or into your saddle bag to be used as a hazard light for your motorcycle. Keep one in the shop as a machinist light to attach to your drill Press or attach a lanyard and use it as a magnetic pickup tool for a dropped screw. Use one in the garage to stick to your car's hood for engine repairs or on a Creeper when sliding under a car. Keep one in your home for repairs in small tight spaces, such as under the counter, behind a stereo, or when upgrading computer equipment. Have one as your 'go-to' Light, stick it to your refrigerator for emergency situations during a power outage, such as finding and flipping The circuit breaker. The potential uses are endless.

I like that I can rotate it in order to shine ...
by chd dad (3 out of 5 stars)

Light works well and provides adequate light when being used. I like that I can rotate it in order to shine light where I need it. One star removed because the power button is the same height as all the other magnets. Frequently the light mine will rotate and push the power button, turning my light source off or change the source. Gets annoying after hitting that button several times, the power button needs to be recessed in so it can not be accidentally pushed. Another star removed because I have to tap the power button on a solid object to turn the light off. After a little use, I can not change the light source by pushing the button, my choices are little light, a lot of light or off. Very rarely will it go to the red light (which I don't need anyhow). Nice idea but improvements could be made.

Poor build quality

3 magnets fell off within 5 minutes of opening. Really cheap build quality. I was hoping for something a bit more rugged.

Good light but the magnets are falling out
by Jason W. (3 out of 5 stars)

I bought this light after years of frustration with normal lights. I first saw the light in a catalog for a old British car and thought I would give it a try. It was cheaper on Amazon so I pulled the trigger.

I'm on my third set of batteries and it has been awesome up until recently when I realized that I was missing two magnets. I looked around on a car that I've been working on and found them both on the chassis which tells me that they literally have fallen out when I pull the light off of the metal.

My second complaint is that I have to cycle through the different light patterns to turn it off. While it's certainly not a deal breaker, I just wish it had nothing but the full power white light sans the red light that will never get used.

My final verdict is that I will continue to used the light until I can no longer find the magnets when then fall off and if there is another version out there without the red light, I will buy it next. I would also pay more for a more robust aluminum light.

Great light and Great Customer Service from Striker
by KP (5 out of 5 stars)

I bought this light as a Christmas gift for my husband back in July during Prime Days. Since it was a gift, I didn't open it to see if everything was in working order. When my husband opened the light on Christmas day we found that one of the springs in the battery compartment was missing. Since I bought the light way last summer (the downside of buying Christmas gifts during Prime Days, I guess) I was past the 30 day return window. I wrote to the Striker Company, the company that makes the light, on Christmas day. I received a reply the next morning from Jennifer Barnes who asked me to send her a copy of my invoice and she would send us a new battery compartment. I received the part on 12/31/18, less than a week after contacting Striker. The light works great, very bright, and the magnets seem to be very strong. Thank you Striker, and Jennifer Barnes for the great customer service!

Not worth the money
by Jvots (1 out of 5 stars)

The magnets are weak. I do like that it helps angle the light but any touch of the light will knock it off whatever it is attached to. The LEDs are also weak. They do not illuminate much. I have smaller flashlights that are much brighter. If it was $7 I would rate it higher. Not worth the money

Arrived with low batteries.??
by Kris H. (4 out of 5 stars)

I really liked this product, and used it very little in first few weeks. About then, it would turn on, but not turn off....basically staying in the white light mode. I gave up on it as I had to remove the battery pack to turn it off from the white lights. Just prior to instigating a return of the product... I then wondered if perhaps the batteries were the issue and put in my 3 brand new ones...not the ones shipped with it. it is now about 75% brighter and runs the way it should in all modes. I hope this is the last of guess work for this item. Glad I had 3 batteries to attempt this fix. So much for batteries included.

nice bright light

i got this for my husband, hes a mechanic, its a cool little light nice and bright and goes in some weird places that a regular light wont fit it, i only gave a 3 star review because the magnets are not very strong and just a little movement will make it fall, and when i received it, it was already missing a magnet, but, if hes doing work that doesnt make any movement on the magnet surface, it works great..

Perfect oddity of functioning light
by Kris (5 out of 5 stars)

You never truly understand how amazing each magnetic tip is until you use this light for the first time in a hard to access area. This little bundle of amazing led light is a fun, but effective, way to light up your lightless endeavors. Each metallic tip on the light mine is a strong magnet that clings to magnetic surfaces like a champ. I have used this light while installing a new sink faucet in my bathroom. Being able to tuck the light in the corner of the sink cabinet was an invaluable hand freeing saviour. I was able to angle the light perfectly due to rearranging the light on one of the magnetic tips, and it remained in that same location without losing grip over time. If you've replaced any faucet before then you'll know how cramped the workspace can be. Big corded lights can get in the way especially if you have to lay on your back to access the nuts holding the faucet down.

I've changed oil in my car, and have stuck this little light on the hood and on the chassis to give me the light I needed. No more need for that second person holding the light in your eyes, or in the wrong area.

The one con that comes to mind is that you have to make sure you press hard on the battery area when changing batteries otherwise the battery holder may pop out. It tends to have extra tension due to two spring connector prongs that enables the electrical connection between battery and mechanism. If you do not press hard enough the twist cap will fall off, and if you do not catch this in time you could possibly lose your battery pack in one of those pesky tight locations. This is zero reason to take any stars off, because taking the time to ensure you perform the battery replacement procedure correctly is 100% on the user.

Great gift to give someone who loves oddities that function.

Dead on arrival, even put new batteries in hoping that was the problem. Don't know who I need to message about this but yeah now I need to find another magnet light I like. After further inspection I noticed it's missing a contact on the battery sled......common how can you mess up that bad
