Couldn't make the hill without themby Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)

I live in northern PA up on a back road hill and have a log driveway which is also up a steeper hill. I was excited to have my snowsocks delivered today so I could leave without the worry of not making it back up the hill and driveway in my front wheel drive Ford Focus Hatchback. Long behold I wasn't able to make it after several attempts, so I got out and within 5 minutes had the snow socks on and was on my way up the driveway without a fuss or even a slip... Great buy and recommend them!!
Frayed and Frustrated

We bought these a year ago for Christmas and finally had a need to use them. After a day of skiing and lots of new snow we put them on our car to come down off the mountain. They worked great... until they shredded. They were torn to pieces by the time we got to the bottom of the resort road and needed to get on the highway: About 3 miles of snow covered road. Very frustrating. Real waste of money unless you're looking for an easy to install 1 time use.
Works better than expected.

Got me out of a pinch today when a snowstorm hit. They worked as expected. The amount of traction I received from these alone was phenomenal. My car stopped and handled 100% better. Took me not even 5 minutes to get them on the wheels. I do recommend to keep a set of work gloves with you as you will get your hands dirty. They come with some plastic gloves but a nice cheap set of work gloves will be better. As the others say you shouldn't take them on bare pavement. Honestly though in a pinch they come on and off in no time at all.

Product was used once and fell apart.
I ordered this tire sock according to the chart shown to fit my wheels and tires. We just had a heavy snow and at the time when I used these socks there was approximately 3 inches of snow. I live on a pretty steep hill (30 degrees) and I had to use these socks to get up the hill. With a ton of wheel spin and very little grip from the snow socks I made it up the hill just to find the snow socks shredded.

Worked great on my rear wheel drive car. Took less than 10 minutes to put on first time less than that afterwards. Used them on 5 separate occasions putting 60 miles on them and they still appear brand new after a wash. I would advise only using them to drive around town though. If your doing highway driving spend money on chains or studs as you can't exceed 35 mph with these. Most snow I used them in was about 3 inches and my rear wheel drive car could make the hills without any wheel spin and it also helps with stopping.
Installation actually WAS EASY

Performed better than expected on snow and ice. Putting them on took less than 10 minutes with no cold hands like regular chains. After doing it twice I could cut that time in half. Plus they look pretty cool.

I recently moved to Nevada and snow chains are required on some roads when the snow gets bad, well I had these in my trunk and they got me out of a bad situation because I have a rear wheel drive car and was going up hill. They were a little tough putting on as I had never used them before. Once I was able to get them completely on I had no problem getting out of the jam that I was in.
Good on snow and ice with some limitation.

This snow socks works very well under following conditions:
- the roads you travel are all covered with full snow and ice with no part of your journey on roads that have no snow or ice.
This will work very well on places like ski area where everywhere are snow and ice and no bare aspalt surface.
- the snow is not taller than your vehicle ground clearance.
This snow socks will not work under following conditions:
-on roads that are full of melting slush. The slush and water will get soaked onto the socks making it too heavy and they will then drag themselves off your wheels when you drive over 20 MPH.
- on roads that are only partiality covered with snow or ice but not completely covered by snow or ice. The aspalt or concrete surface part of the roads would destroy the socks in mins.
For emergency snowy condition, this is an excellent solution if you don't have snow tires.
AWESOME!

These things work great! I'm not using them for my car, but on my lawn tractor with a snowthrower. Even with additional weight on the rear wheels, I was having trouble with traction on ice and packed snow especially on a sloped part of my driveway. I didn't want to used chains on the asphalt and I saw these things on Amazon. I wasn't sure they would work because I have 12" wheels and their sizing charts only show 13" wheels and above, but my wheels are much wider than most car wheels and tires. These socks do shift around during use but I cant get over how much traction I do have even on icy stuff. I don't know how they will wear. I have just used these for the past winter season. They package has a warning about not running these on dry pavement but that is not an issue for my use.
