Best pop-up I've found for the priceby J. Reynolds (4 out of 5 stars)

My sons are 7 and 5 and I got this tent for them because I figured it would be nice to have a tent that is super easy to toss up for when they want to camp in the backyard.
Pros:
VERY easy to put up- just pull it out of the bag, remove the elastic band around it and let go. It pops open so fast, you would want to make sure no small children are directly around you! It has some small L stakes with it and it stakes down nicely with 7 stakes, one each for the front and back, then the 5 strings.
Also pretty easy to take down. Sometimes these stiff wire deals can be difficult to wrestle into a flat state but this was very simple. It took me a few minutes to decipher the "ikea-like" directions the first time, but I can now go from up to flat in 30 seconds or so.
Cons:
The fabric is not as sturdy as any of my other tents and the seams aren't reinforced. I haven't had any tears yet but I'm a little worried about it so I've been trying to be a bit more careful with the zippers than I usually am. You definitely need to use both hands to zip or unzip for instance.
The dimensions listed are a little misleading. I know it says "with inner tent" right after the dimensions are listed but the inner tents dimensions are just as important as the footprint, so I think they should probably list both. The inner tent size is more like 94"x57" with a very pronounced "egg" shape, My son wanted my to try putting our air mattress in there, which is 55x80 but it wouldn't fit.
I didn't really even think about it since I wasn't sleeping in it, but my oldest son was a bit annoyed that there aren't any "windows" other than the main door in.
Overall, I got basically what I wanted, which was speed and convenience. If I want to get them a tent with more comfort and durability, I'll spend more money next time.
it's not too bad though. Buy better tent stakes

The tent is everything it should be. Pops up quickly, and there is really nothing to set up. The hardest part is unzipping it. Putting it back in the bag is a different story. Once you get the trick down, it's not too bad though. Buy better tent stakes, the ones that come with this are too short to hold in a gust of wind. When stored the diameter of the tent is about 32--36 inches. I did not measure, but you can't put in on your pack and walk through a doorway without turning sideways. I would not recommend this for a person that intends on hiking to a campsite. The plus side is that it is only about 2 inches thick when stored.
The worst part is that it is definitely not a two person tent. I am 5'9" and my feet and head touched when inside the tent at the widest part. I had enough room on each side to store my pack and that was about it. Technically, you could probably fit a full size person, and 2 midgets if you crammed in there, but who has two midgets to spare?
I'm trying to figure out the tie downs

I just got my pop up tent and I'm anxious to use it. It has been raining all day today. I see 5 tie downs and 8 stakes. I haven't opened the tent up but I'm wondering where the tie downs will go and why there is only 5. Why do I need 8 stakes?
I used to have a 6 ft pop up screen room and I never had any trouble taking it down so I'm hoping I won't have trouble with this tent.
Update: I've been practicing making knots for the guy lines. I do not understand what the plastic piece is for and where it goes. If anyone reads this and can give me a clue I will appreciate it.
I opened the tent and realized that the measurements given are the outside measurements. The inside is smaller and difficult to fit an air mattress or cot in. I played with it for two days trying to decide what I would be able to put inside. When I went to take it down, I didn't have any trouble. It was easier than I thought it would be. I'm looking forward to using it soon.
1) Throw Tent down 2) Sit in chair drink beer 3) Laugh at friends setting up real tents

This tent does exactly what it sets out to do. It gives you a tent that sets up and breaks down easily and literally instantly. Will it hold up in heavy rain? Probably not. Unfortunately (or furtunately really) I did not get to test that particular feature. Do the kind of people who buy this tent intend on camping in rainy and/or extreme conditions? Highly unlikely IMO. This is a get out of the car, throw a tent down and drink beer tent. And it does it well. For a sunny trip to Lake Tahoe, this baby is perfect. The color also makes it EXTREMELY easy to find your campsite especially with 3 of them side by side.
All 4 people who used the tents I bought for Lake Tahoe in the summer for a week gave them an A-OK rating.
You can compare this to the 3 Second Malamoo Tent from Australia at around $250 to get to the U.S. The Malamoo (which my friend purchased earlier and I held off searching for a better price) got compared at Tahoe side by side in real life. It looks a little more professional and/or durable. Approximately same size. Comes with some reflective rope. I also bought 3 of these blue babies for less than he paid for one Malamoo. I'm happy with my choice.
As far as size is concerned, this is a single person tent. Me and my girlfriend could and definitely will share one of these in the future, but we also don't mind getting cuddly. 2 people would have a tough time fitting 2 full duffle bags in there unless you are using them as pillows. It could probably be done though.
TL;DR
Edit Update 5/2/2014
Finally got a chance to use the ol' pop up tent at Pismo Beach, CA this time. Held up great, and slept me and my girlfriend fairly comfortably. Now to be fair I'm 6'1" and 185 pounds, but she is 5'1" or something ridiculously tiny like that. 2 people changing in the tent at the same time is reminiscent of playing twister. I still hold firm to my belief though, that if you feel you need a tent that is big enough to stand in or whatever you need a big tent for, you are doing it wrong. Tents are for sleeping, changing, and that other fun thing. I am happy to say this tent has serviced me well for all 3 uses.
Folding chair + this pop up tent + beer = car camping win.
Pro-tip: Practice opening and closing your tent at home numerous times using a youtube video that shows how to do so. Getting it in the bag again is simple IF you know how (there are some picture instructions sewed into the bag as well). If you neglect to practice you will get super pissed off at it, because it is not so intuitive at first.

This tent is very promising , it does get set up super fast, but the folding back takes longer as you need some practice to figure out how to put it back into a circle. I've had mine couple of years and only used it few times, sadly the fabric tore and the sticks got out making the tent totally unfoldable, making a funny ride back with it in the car. So I trashed it and will go back to the regular tents. Bummer

It was shipped from the seller in heavy brown paper which was ripped a bit, but the tent and carry pouch were ok. Delivered by UPS.
It's a large blue disk that has two carry handles and two straps for carrying on your back. I see this more as a disk that fits in a car trunk. It pops open just like it shows in the diagram. comes with some metal stakes and strings. What the picture doesn't show is how the tent is constructed inside.
The blue outer shell covers the inner mesh tent. This allows for lots of ventilation, but this is not a foul weather tent because of it. I would not want to deal with wind driven rain in this thing. The floor is black nylon, perhaps a little heavier material than the outer shell. The inner mesh tent has little pouches left and right for holding small items. There is a rear vent window and of course two zippers at the entrance with a bit of yellow overlapping nylon at the outer zipper.
I think the tent is fully worth the money I paid for it. It's really just part of our earthquake emergency kit.
If I were a camper/backpacker, I would look into high quality mountaineering tents from REI or Adventure-16.
Taking the tent down is something I suggest you practice several times... it will be frustrating at first, but it really does go back into that carry pouch. My suggestion is to check YouTube for pop-up tent videos. Try to find ones from manufactures of higher grade pop-up tents. The same principals apply and watching someone do it is the best way to understand taking this tent down.
The best one I found is:

I Like the Tent!

I think the tent was definitely worth the money. When it arrived via UPS, the shipping box.was torn but the contents were intact. I opened it up in the living room to examine.it and to do a trial run of putting it back in its carrying case. Be sure to go to You Tube for folding demonstrations - I don't think I would have.ever figured it out without watching two different people demonstrating the technique. Before I leave for my camping weekend, I'll practice some more to make sure I have it down. Anyway, it appears to be adequate for my needs which is an occasional trip.for the weekend.
a simple tent that sets itself up.

This tent has three significant disadvantages and one significant advantage.
First the disadvantages-
1. while advertised as a two man tent, this really only has room for one. Two people would have to be either really friendly or really squashed to sleep in this thing.
2. the thickness of the tent wall needed to keep the tent itself from ripping on opening up also keeps the tent from being breathable. I would not recommend it for daytime camping anywhere that heat is an issue.
3. when taken down, the tent has a thirty-two inch flat footprint. Not really something that can be thrown in the back of a small car, or carried while backpacking.
and the advantage (and the real reason to buy the tent) -
It requires only minimal set up and take down. In non-windy conditions, the tent can be set up and ready to use in seconds with out any experience, just pull the strap and throw. In windy conditions, setting the guy-wires takes an additional two to three minutes. Take down requires a little practice, but is done in two minutes or less, even if you really mess it up.
Folding up not for beginners

I bought this tent for a co-worker, who was excited at how easy it would be to camp with on her own. While it is incredibly easy to open, putting it away was a whole other animal. While some people may be good at this and have no issue, that was not the case here. We even watched a video online and while we gingerly tried to fold it up, it broke. Completely disappointed. Was expecting something a little sturdier and easier to use.
