Despite other reviews mentioning problems with this product's ability to vacuum up the droppings of larger dogs, I have a 140lbs. Shiloh Shepherd and whether it's sucking up logs, loose stools, pudding consistency leavings or any other texture or size, my Pet Pooch Power Shovel works wonderfully. I leave it plugged in when not in use, and it has never needed 12 hours of charging between uses. It's lightweight by itself (around 4lbs.) and the bags are easy to change and will hold 15-20lbs. each -- and can be re-ordered in quantities of 100 at an affordable price, especially considering their thickness and quality. I purchased this product because a temporary injury prevents me from bending down repeatedly (which is obviously necessary when scooping with a regular baggy). THE ONLY REASON I did not give this incredible product 5-stars is because since the vacuum hole is "open", even when not in use, smells tend to waft and this could be easily and inexpensively-remedied by the manufacturers' offering a fitted cap/lid that can be removed when vacuum's needed for use. I'd gladly pay an additional cost for such a cap (and have been on the lookout for one that might fit). I live in a condo complex and every single day, multiple other residents ask me about this product, where they can get one, how do I like it, etc., and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I've owned the product for just over two weeks now, which gives me around 20 separate uses cleaning up after our Min Pin. The Power Shovel assembles easily, with no tools required. Everything snaps or twists into place. The instructions are clearly written and well illustrated, and there is even an instructional DVD included. Bags and charger are included, and you are instructed to charge the battery overnight (about 12 hours) before first use.

As advertised, it picks up waste in various stages of its life by suction, and puts it in a disposable bag so that no waste touches you or the machine. It's very easy to use, and certainly less messy than manual products. It is light enough for my wife, who has arthritis in her hands, to use although she loves it because I'm going out to clean up after the dog now without having to be asked.

I rated this as 4 stars because #1 - it is a pooper scooper after all, and #2 - the suction created by the motor is powerful enough to pick up everything, but you do have to work or nudge the stool sometimes to get the movement started.

My husband is the primary poop picker upper for our three dogs all twenty-one pounds and smaller. However his back bothers him when bending to pick up poop and then he declines when I would offer to do the job. Enter the poop vac! I followed the directions and let it charge the required 12 hours and was so eager to try it used my cell phone flash light since the first poop post charging was after dark. Worked like a charm. I would have liked a more powerful motor although it does the job without difficulty. I now clean the dog poop and my husband doesn't worry about me doing the hard work.

this is a great concept and hopefully someday someone will figure out how to make it happen! Very nice seller to talk to but they just want you to try something else instead of acknowledging that it just does not work. I have very small dogs and it would not even pick up their "stuff" Tried everything they told me to try and nothing different. Did not call them back to return because I just did not want to keep having to try something different! Makes for a good conversation piece on my front porch when everyone see's it and laughs at me because I fell for something like it. Mine is new andif anyone wants one I would tell you to save your money, wear latex gloves and just get it done.

Why did you use an in cased cadmium battery that lasts only 10 to 15 charges then loses its ability

How well its suction is and least that made it a very chappy product is the nickel cadmium battery it really sucks.it would be a great product if you made it with lithium ion battery's that are replaceable, like c . Or d battery's or a lithium ion battery pack that you could side out of the unit recharge and slide back in like my Royobi.drill .weed Wacker with all use the same battery cartridge!!!!

Doesn't pick up poop for poop, motor is not nearly strong enough. You have to scoop it in the hole. Same as if I scooped it with pooper scooper. And poop in rocks? forget it, don't waste your time.
