Makes faster, funner breakfast sandwiches!by Alegra Loewenstein, Health Coach (4 out of 5 stars)

This is a fun kitchen appliance. By no means would I call it essential, but if you like breakfast sandwiches, it can definitely speed up the process! One thing to note is that the eggs cook thin, not fluffy (they are cooked with the bread pressing down on top, so they can't lift up). I didn't mind this this, but others in my family did not like it.
The image shows the basics; you layer the sandwich in, and it all cooks at one time. There is a hot plate in the middle to cook the egg. This is how the whole thing works to quickly, essentially 4 cooking plates. I've even made sandwiches without eggs and this still helps to heat it through evenly.
I've actually been loving this to cook lots of food items and all kinds of sandwiches. You can wipe it clean in many cases. Egg sandwiches are the most common, but I've done veggies with eggs on top and non-egg hot sandwiches as well.
It is not totally intuitive how long to cook things; my tip is when you start listen for the cheese to start sizzling, and that is usually when everything is done.See how long that took, and repeat. But most things are about 3.5-5 minutes (it measure in half minute increments).
When you lift it to open it, it does push on the sandwiches a bit and "unstack" them a tad, but this is minor. It has been a fun addition, and I love it that it come with a few recipe ideas, which have really helped us break out of our breakfast sandwich rut! As a health coach, I would recommend this to families that need a healthy, hearty meal that they can make quickly and eat on the run if need be... but you have to make sure you are adding in some fruits or veggies and going easy on the meats and cheese and be sure to try out some whole wheat or multigrain muffins or toasts.

I eat these sandwiches all the time. My girlfriend always wants to go out to eat and make me pay. I keep making two sandwiches and giving her one, knowing that she won't be happy with it. Well jokes on her, I get two sandwiches and I'm single now.
I use it more than I thought I would because the sandwiches are better than I thought they'd be

So, I'd seen a video of this product on facebook and my instant reaction was "I think I'd really like that..." so with it being as inexpensive as it is, I ordered it. I have used it many times both for myself and for others and everyone always enjoys the sandwiches. I'd made them for my younger sister's kids and even though she'd tried making "egg McMuffins" by cooking the ingredients separately, her kids didn't like those but they did like mine. I think it has to do with how perfectly they're made... at least for a kid, it's not just a fried egg on an English muffin, but with this the egg actually cooks in a perfect circle and becomes fused with the bread (they cook together).
I use it often when wanting a quick meal or snack since you can easily have the basic ingredients on hand at all times (eggs, muffins, cheese, ham/protein). It warms up so fast that it's usually ready for me before I've gotten all the ingredients ready. Then it takes just 5 minutes to cook, but then another 5-10 before it cools off enough that you can actually eat it without it being too hot.
Clean up is super simple, you just get a paper towel and wipe off the surfaces. The egg-cooking portion easily pulls out for dishwasher cleaning whenever you want.
The only complaint I have is that there's no power button, plugging it in is turning it on and unplugging it is switching it off and the cord is very very short. So I have it plugged into a short power strip that has its own switch on it so that I don't have to unplug it. Other than that, it's getting way more use than I expected and produces a better meal than I had hoped.
You know you want this!

Da' Bomb!! This is awesome. If you are willing to spend about 10 minutes total (only about 5 of which is active - placement of sandwich fixings), this is totally worth it. You are making your own Egg McYoufin, so you know what is going in, you control the quality of food, and you save $.
Totally worth it! There is a little bit of clean up if you choose to spray the surface before cooking. But it's really not bad at all.
So far we've used english muffins and gluten free muffins, cheese, turkey sausage and canadian bacon. Good stuff.

When I saw the box (photo), I started the return process: it looked like that somebody used the product and then returned it. But then I decided to open the box, and it turned out to be just fine. So far, the sandwich maker works without any problem, and the food is delicious. Just make sure, you don't consume it immediately, it is hot and it takes a few minutes before you can enjoy it.
Turns out delicious Sandwiches in 5 minutes

I can't tell you how much I love this thing. I used it every day for more than a week after first getting it. I honestly thought it was a gimmicky thing when my girlfriend asked me to buy one, and did so semi reluctantly because I hate the idea of having items that only serve a single purpose and take up a lot of room. I have to admit I am extremely happy that I have this, it is awesome and turns out really good breakfast sandwiches. Very easy clean up as well, usually makes very minimal mess. The inner parts (that hold the food products sides) are removable to easy cleaning if need be but I rarely have to do more than a quick wipe down if I'm careful.

my husband says my breakfast sandwiches are way better than the fast food ones! I would agree. these take a bit of work though and you have to sue precooked meats so thats bit of downer for making things quickly. so far pretty good though. easy clean up, follow direction and heat it up all the way. I was hoping for quick week day breakfast but so far its only weekend use because I have to remember to precook meat which is a must in my house. still nice gadget for making fairly quick sandwiches
