The Laser Surveillance Defeater is a new countermeasure device against laser surveillance. How does laser surveillance work? An invisible laser beam is focused on a window. Voices and sound from within the target area are absorbed by the window and transmitted onto the laser beam (called “modulation”). The receiver (at the other end of the beam) then demodulates, processes, and amplifies the signal. The result– your private conversations inside your office or home can be secretly listened in on and recorded by a spy a mile away. These systems are expensive and sales are restricted in the U.S., they are used primarily by government agencies. The new Laser Surveillance Defeater was developed to meet the security requirements of certain U.S. federal agencies. It interrupts, masks, and jams the laser demodulation by transmitting human voice frequencies to a window to “drown out” typical conversation. Most laser receivers have a “notch filter” to isolate and enhance human voices; this device was engineered to defeat such filters by centering its frequency output at the middle of the human voice range so that if the notch filter is used, it will also filter out a major portion of the human voice range, making the results useless. The Laser Surveillance Defeater is ideal for government offices, corporate facilities, high-rise buildings, even homes. This device is completely portable; it installs and un-installs on windows instantly with its integral suction component.

Nothing But A Buzzing Fly At A Picnic

Well I received 4 of the 8 I ordered. And lord have mercy - I was not expecting them to buzz like a pesky fly at a picnic. Then there is the fact that they are nothing but a clear suction cup - a plastic and fragile mother board and a battery hooked at the bottom. I could have just placed a loud sound machine for the price of one of these in my living room and it would have done the same thing. It would have blocked noise and conversation. And to think - I paid over $50 for each one. A total of $400.

I am amazed at the people who capitalize on the weakness and vulnerability of people who are having a hard time. By hard time, I mean this. The new thing today is being cyber stalked - electronically harassed and none stop listened to with invasive microphones that are pointed inside your home. It is so stressful. So this being the case - shouldn't it be handled like Jesus Christ who healed people for free. Shouldn't the cost of a cheap piece of plastic and suction cup and a 9 volt battery be comparable to what the item is really worth. It must cost 1 dollar to make this item. Well maybe 5. I can't believe it runs in the upper $50. Talk about markup.

Thankfully the buzzing of this item is trapped between two panes of glass when you hang them and you can't really hear it so much. I hate to think of how fast the battery will have to be replaced. The buzzing alone is probably what drains it so fast. I give this 2 stars for effort.

I like it and I wish it had a longer battery life. 80 hours isn't very long. So, I won't use it until I think I need it and then take the battery out to get a longer life. I am not gonna change a battery every 3-4 days.

Th government has been watching me for years ever since Carl died I swear on my way to work (I'm a janitor at a private school) I need some thing to protect me from there spying agencies like the c.i.a and f.b.i don't think that I know I can't see them watching me there wrong perfect product for 60 dollars btw just A joke
