Great, but not Professional
by M. Atherton (5 out of 5 stars)

So okay, I've only been pool testing this so far, but I'm really impressed. The images are quite sharp and good quality. The controls are easy to use once you have read the manual. The mask is reasonably comfortable and functions just the same as my regular mask, you don't even notice the extra weight. There's even a microphone to hear bubbles with (I'd assumed there wasn't one). The USB cord works and I can access the micro sd card via Windows 7 and transfer files. The only problem I've had so far was trying to find the serial number to register it online (with the mask on it's in the right hand battery compartment). I'm not sure how rugged it is, time will tell, but I can't imagine it will function much different in the ocean than in a pool, although temperature and pressure will be concerns. Like any underwater camera you have to be very careful about the seals and keeping it clean. I'll update after our next dive. If you're just snorkeling I think you're good to go.

Update: This product works great if what you want is family videos and not professional quality. It works as advertised. I lake tested it to a depth of 65' and had no leakage whatsoever. The image quality is good, but not excellent. There are a couple of things I would warn you about. 1) Since the camera is attached you to your head if you want steady images you have to concentrate on keeping your head still and looking at angles less than vertical when your bubbles will pass in front of the mask. 2) If you're planning on capturing underwater moments on that special vacation be sure to practice taking videos and pictures in a pool BEFORE you mess up and think you're recording when you're not (basically you have to be sure the light inside the mask is flashing blue). There's enough to keep track of while diving, let alone trying to figure out the camera controls. I put a 32G Class 10 Micro SD card in this and recorded 20 minutes continuously. My bet is you can record over an hour without any problems. Overall, I couldn't be happier. An underwater video camera that I can turn on and then just enjoy the dive hands free. For the price I paid what more could I ask for? I also have a Nikon CoolPix AW110 that is rated 59 ft, but while it takes excellent quality video and images, it cost more than $300 and requires a lot more attention to operate (2-27-16 Update: and this Nikon leaked the third time I used it). I'll be using both in Hawaii. Be sure to read the manual carefully and maintain the mask with care. This isn't a typical scuba mask that you toss around and just throw in your dive bag and forget.

Great way to bring home the memories to your non diving friends

EASY TO USE. On my first try, while snorkeling of St Johns in the Virgin Islands I captured video of a giant spotted Manta Ray. Great quality video and even has sound which was a plus. I have taken innumerable amounts of pictures and videos and the transfer cable works like any other camera you might use. Once people know it is a camera, they want you take their pictures underwater and then have you email them to themselves when you return home. It is really a nice mask also.

Minor issues with mask
by Paolo Rodeghiero (4 out of 5 stars)

Purchased the mask and brought to Cuba. The only problem was the amount of silicon on the mask causing it to fog up. Pictures were clear and video was awsome. You must be conscious of the bubbles caused by exhaling underwater. Attempting to locate lights for the sides with no luck so far. All in all the camera mask is easy to use. A bit of irritation is the locking system on the strap was causing problems and had to be tied off. I believe it was due to all the silicone on the mask in general. All in all, very content with the mask.

Better than expected

Does not do well with colors below twenty feet, regardless of filter used. But better picture quality than expected. Fantastic for snorkeling.

Garbage! On first use, the straps just release and it falls off your face! Not fun at 60 feet down in salt water. Happened after the return date and now I cant return it. Beware.

Broke right before diving trip
by JB (1 out of 5 stars)
December 23, 2013

So I ordered this product with the purpose of recording a snorkeling trip in the clear waters of the Bahamas. I tested the product 2 weeks before my trip in out of water and at Miami Beach. I took about 3 pictures and 3 videos just as a preview for what was to come. The mask wouldn't connect to my Mac (using osx lion) to view the content so I had to connect it to my windows desktop (using windows 7) to view the stuff saved on the memory card. The pictures were alright to say the best and the underwater ones seemed to look better, naturally, this camera is meant for underwater activities so it's not really a problem. The videos were okay too, I was generally content with it because the quality didn't matter much, and it was more about saving the moment...The batteries were drained surprisingly fast so I thought of keeping extra batteries on me and even taking them out if I wasn't using the camera. I always handled the camera with proper care rinsing it with freshwater after the beach and letting it air dry to avoid getting any water in the camera. I always checked to make sure my lids were tight and kept it out of the heat if possible.

Basically it bricked on me 2 days before the trip. I use the term "brick" because it literally was as useful as a brick at that point. It wouldn't turn on- I switched the batteries, tried connecting it to the computer, I even changed the battery brand and nothing... I was extremely disappointed and called amazon. Amazon was very helpful and said they could mail me a new one at no cost but unfortunately it wouldn't arrive before my trip. I was so let down I just returned the product. Amazon tried but Liquid Image failed. Maybe in the future they will deliver a solid product but having the mask be unreliable at its job is the worst threat they face in keeping custiomers happy and recommending their product... well, I still had a nice trip but no video to remember it.

Care-free recording of your dive adventures
by Tyson (4 out of 5 stars)

I bought these to record a dive with sharks I performed on my 45th birthday this year, and was very glad I did. While other divers brought their cameras, they had to keep their focus on the view screen to make sure they captured what they wanted. All I had to do was look, and enjoy.

The Good:

The camera can take video of everything you look at while on your dive. No fussing with equipment, and your hands remain free to do whatever. I was concerned with audio quality as, when I tested out of the water, the microphone barely picked up anything. But underwater it records audio very well. And the 720p video is fantastic. Of course a lot depends on lighting, like all underwater cameras colors start to disappear in low light. The build quality is also high.

The Bad:

The camera is right in the middle, which is also where your air bubbles go if you don't have a deflector on your respirator. When swimming its no big deal, but when at rest you see those bubbles blocking the image every few seconds. The only way I found to beat it is to tilt your head a little to the left.

Very upset with this. Bought the face mask for my daughter for Christmas. Just went to Mexico and it did not work. Tried everything, batteries, took it to a dive shop. Now I cannot get in touch with anyone and too late to return it.

Worth the price

Pretty good, for the price. Not the best quality mask or camera, but it has lasted a couple of years and it captured some good memories.

Difficult to operate

Tried the camera once. It is difficult to turn on and off and the light is not that visible in the water.

Almost impossible to hold head still enough for video. Stills OK.
