It definitely mellows out the vibe of a room, but the "wave" effects are noticeably fake looking if you look at them even a little closely. If you want something really realistic, get a projector or something a little more expensive. If I could do it over, I might spring for something a little nicer, but this is pretty good for the price.

Very relaxing. I really love mine. 2 problems: you can hear the motor inside. Also after enough use, the product fully depends on being plugged into the charger to turn on. I've had mine for like 6 months and now it won't turn on unless it's plugged in. It still works, though, and I like it a lot.

it's definitely really cool but after 6 months of using it maybe 3 times a week for about a hour a night it stopped working. Picked up a second one and it did the same thing. Bummer but when it works it look like your under water. It's really cool, very trippy .

Simplistic revolving circles that simulate water - sorta. Must be in a dark room for the effect to be really visible since the LEDs aren't very powerful. The mechanism has a glitch at the end of each traveled rotation so you see a "hiccup" in the wave motion. Everything ran fine until the moving mechanism came to a point where it wouldn't start moving.
Here's a simple fix:
Take the light apart (simple screws) pullout the top (light unit) and looking underneath you see a larger wheel coupled to the motor drive via a black rubber "o" ring belt. The belt loses it's grip (stretched out) due to the weird Rube Goldberg method of making the light elements move. Simple zero cost fix. Replace the rubber belt with a plain ordinary rubber band. Everything will work perfectly again.. and, of course, if the rubber band breaks eventually just replace with another rubber band. Mine now works flawlessly daily for several hours. As for the LED lights - I've had zero problems.
For the cheap price and ability to make it work.. it's a nice lighting addition.

i bought four of these for my daughter's 18th birthday party. They have power cord AND take batteries. In this case, we put them around the dance floor. The ceiling was a little too high to be as effective and they would be, but even against the wall they looked cool. They were so inexpensive that we were able to give them to the kids to take home after the party. They all seemed super excited to get them. Lots of fun!

I like it but wish it had a larger area of projection. It has a short cord and some of the projection goes up the wall. I wish it was able to swivel to project the light in different directions or a stand that you could turn the light into a better position on the ceiling. overall really cute- if you have a large area buy several

If you have a child that is into under sea themes and afraid of the dark than this effect light is EXACTLY what you are looking for. If you want it to "set the stage" as it were to enhance a theme for...say, a play, you will be let down. Only works well in a really dark setting and has limited range (like a small room). The results in the right setting are phenomenal, though.

I bought this for myself as I like the ocean, and its sounds of water. It came looking very used and there were little to no sounds. The 'waves' that were projected looked more like lights.
All in all it wasn't worth the profit to return it, so I just gave it to my little sister.

I LOVE THIS, I brought for my niece but will have to order her a new one, I'm enjoying it a lot. It t looks like night blue sea, A little cheap and cuts off on its own sometimes, but for the price totally worth it.
Perfect for LMT therapies.

This is absolutly the best plan for my massage clinic room. Soundfrom the speaker is loud enough to opt out other sounds. The reflextii n is very relaxing for my patients. I have recommended it to everyone who has experinced it, or saw it. Its perfect!!!
