I thought these were pretty tasty. My pack did come with a full variety. I am seeing a lot of people commenting regarding white mold. While this is certainly possible, please bear in mind that dried meat products like this can have small amounts of fat that will pool along the outside of the meat stick. This is perfectly normal and does not interfere with the flavor. At first glance, this will look like mold on the product. I have yet to encounter any actual mold but have seen plenty of occurrences of the phenomenon described.

A couple of the sticks were not, in my opinion, terribly enjoyable. However, it seems to me that this is probably a matter of personal taste and I think it would be unfair for me to blame the manufacturer. Some animals (lion and camel spring to mind) just don't really have a ton of flavor, but these might be someone else's favorites.

Good but not much difference in taste between the different meats

Now I love Jerky and Meat sticks so when I saw this sampler I decided to go ahead and get it because I love trying new things. I've never had any of the meat in this sampler before and I liked all of it. My husband had never had any of this meat before either so each time we opened one, we would cut it in half and share them.

We both really liked all of them but for the most part because of the spices, they all kinda tasted the same to me. There was quite an assortment of different met sticks and jerky. There was Pheasant, Alligator, Bison, Venison, Duck, Kangaroo, Wild Boar, Beef & Ostrich and Buffalo.

Because everything tasted much the same, I doubt that I would buy this again but it was definitely worth it to me since it really was good.

Just a novelty buy

Everything had the same flavor, and the main ingredient in all of them is beef. The only difference in flavor was the level of spice. Some were so spicy I stopped eating them to drink milk, and you will feel it when it comes out later. Overall, not as exciting as I had hoped. Would not recommend for any other reason than to tell people you ate something 'exotic'.

No diversity and too spicy

Sorely disappointed! I was looking forward to tasting the different meats (venison, ostrich, etc.) in the pack but they were all seasoned almost exactly the same. Apart from the meats having different labels, I could not tell the difference in the tastes of duck from the boar from the alligator, etc. The venison was shaped differently and even it came dusty and rancid in the pack (I must have had a lucky batch).

There were a few flavors that were sooooo spicy/peppery that I had to drink with each bite or not eat at all.

I was also disappointed to find out that each meat contained beef. As one who does not usually eat beef and whose stomach is upset by beef, that extra ingredient was an unpleasant surprise.

I strongly dissuade from purchasing this product until they change the recipes. I regret this purchase.

Was a gift. He told me they tasted good. He could have lied. I am unsure. He isn't very trustworthy. Stole 500 bucks worth of Mudjugs out of my Chevy 2500HD Duramax Diesel a year ago.

this is a very intriguing product and i like it but a couple of the jerkys like the alligator werent very good and the thing i really dont like is that they add beef to every one of them and it makes some of them taste like regular jerky which defeats the purpose i want to try new meat and see what they taste like if you add beef to make it taste like regular jerky then i mine as well go to the store and buy jerky and save some money. this is a one time buy just to try it maybe buy a sample pack next christmas for each of your friends and family its a great one time gift just to say youve eaten these meats i find the kangaroo the most interesting wish i had more of it.

Spicy

Its spicy jerky! It's also very tough. Ive had homemade venison jerky before, and this is not that. I do not like spicy food, and would have not purchased if I knew that it was beforehand. Will not buy again.

Pretty Picture not Pretty Product.

I ordered this as a gift for a friend. The picture looked like wonderful gift packaging. It wasn't. It came in a clear plastic bag and in order to make sure there was a variety I had to open it. After reading some of the reviews I went back and checked to make sure they weren't moldy. I was a lucky one. However, I also checked the ingredients. Why is there BEEF in all of them? Why isn't it just the pure meat? I am guessing this is a cost saving process to sell the name and not the meet.

My son has always loved jerky so I bought this for him. He's a grown man now and he said upon opening it, "Mom, you know I don't eat jerky anymore (referring to Slim JIms) then I pointed out it was WILD GAME jerky; he was delighted!!!!! me too :); he'll always be my little boy and it made me happy watching him walking around munching on this product.

Great Gift For Great Dads

This was a gift for my Dad for Father's day and needless to say he loved it.

I actually arranged it like a bouquet which made it look like he won Miss Universe.

He also loved the taste, his favorite is the duck and ostrich.
