I bought this scraper for my grandson for Christmas. The first one didn't work at all but the seller sent me a new one with no problems. My grandson likes the scraper, although we've had a very mild winter this year & he hasn't used it very much. It heats up & melts the ice . The only problem is that it must be plugged into your car lighter socket and you have to keep the door or window ajar in order that you don't cut the cord.

I got this expecting something that would make my morning routine easier. I hoped it might actually cut down the time it takes me to get on my way in the mornings. That's not the case. It takes quite a while to get warm, and has to be plugged in the whole time. Although it does come with a really long cord, I found it getting in the way quite a bit. In the time it takes for this thing to warm up, you can usually just scrape the windows with something else, and be on your way. It's a nice idea, and it worked great, the one instance I wasn't in any particular hurry to be anywhere and I gave it plenty of time to get warm.

While it's a good idea, and it may get warm enough to work like you're expecting, just don't have any high hopes for this thing to make your life much easier. If you give it plenty of time, it might work like you want, but it's not something I'm going to recommend to anybody I know.

I really, really dislike this ice scraper. It takes more than half an hour for it to warm up enough to feel heat, and it's not nearly hot enough to cut through winter ice.

Little Heat

I purchased this item for a family member who lives in Colorado. He tried it a couple of times, plugged it into his cigarette lighter and while it got a little warm, it didn't get warm enough to scrape the ice off. He alo said the manufacturer used cheap material. Save your money

I thought I'd be clever and buy a HEATED scraper, but frankly, by the time it heats up (ever so slowly) I've had time to scrape all the frost off the entire car with a credit card AND finish my cup of coffee.

If you don't want to use a credit card, buy a traditional scraper for less than $5.

We originally ordered a more expensive model, but it was out of stock and we were sent this one instead. It feels cheap, like it won't stand up to hard ice, and the element took 20 minutes to get to a temperature we feel might possibly melt the ice.

Would make a good gag gift only, totally worthless as far as cleaning frost off the windows. Had an ice storm, it wouldn't touch it.

Any of my vehicles I don't think I had a cigarette lighter for getting this to work. I did find one to plug in,it still didn't work.
