EDIT - 8/12/14 - Pictures from the beach are up. The couch held up the entire time and I only had to add air (small amount by mouth) once to the bottom cavity. A 5-star couch considering my purposes
Well, against the manufacturer's and several walmart blow up couch aficionado's, warnings, I'm taking Mademoiselle Pull-out sofa queen couch into the ocean with me as the premier wave rider.
Let's be clear, is this meant to be a wave rider? No. Will that stop the cheap felt from tasting the salty waters of the Gulf of Mexico? No! Does any of this matter to anyone? I have no idea, but it should, because if you've never perched yourself above the rocking waters of a 2-3' wave, you haven't been the envy of every child on the beach and thus - haven't lived. I'll be honest, this practice usually yields a 20lb worthless hunk of plastic, but it'll have you bursting at the seams!! lol, get it?
How many stars does this product actually deserve? Well I'm going to the beach Aug 7 and I'll be back Aug 10th...I will have a better review, and most likely a video then. Stay tuned to find out!
For everyone using this as a contraceptive...that's not how pull-out couches work. Comfort wise, it's literally a blow up mattress with 2 fold-able seams that make it a pseudo couch. Maybe 6-7" as a mattress, 12-14" tall as the couch...about as comfortable as you would expect with a typical blow up mattress. Plus there are cup holders!
Works great as a camping/sofa bed

Works great for a camping sofa/bed and a can be used as a temporary sofa or bed when needed. We use this sofa several times and it's held up quite well. For the price you can't beat it, it's comfortable, easy to setup and very compact when folded down. We use this camping as a sofa during the day and fold it out for the kids to sleep on at night. It has a velour type covering, so it's much more comfortable than the all vinyl sofas out there. My kids in their sleeping bags are content in the tent with it (see what I did there). For those that have had seems pop inside of the tent I'm not shocked. I wouldn't use this everyday as a sofa or bed, it's made for short term use. Having said that, my wife used one as a sofa and bed when she moved across country a few years ago. We moved about 2 weeks after her (with the house loaded into a truck) and it worked great for her during that short time. Was it as comfortable as our bed? No, but then again my mattress cost us about 1K, this sofa/bed cost us less than $50. Once we wear it out we will replace it with the same one.

Perfect size for a 6 person tent. It is perfect when you need more room in the tent for changing. I always had a hard time since the regular air mattresses don't leave much room around it. The cup holders are great to hold your phone at night too. Our friends were very impressed with it Too.!! It did deflate a bit but as instructed, you want to leave it inflated a couple of days so it can adjust. Overall, we loved it and definitely recommend it!!
Will swallow you whole when it deflates in the middle of the night.

It worked well for about 3 weeks. The first time I deflated and then went to use it again however, it mysteriously sprang a leak which in turn caused it to blow the seam on the top mattress. This makes the couch/ bed impossible to sleep on. Within minutes, the couch "frame" started leaking also. I have looked everywhere for a leak and have came to the conclusion this is just a really lovely made product for not so cheap of a price. If you plan to use it once and throw it away, this will work perfect. If you want to waste money because you have too much of it laying around, again, great. This is the couch for you. If you're looking for value or a deal, stay away. Looks great and feels like it's decent quality til you actually need to use it. I am 4"10 and 105 lbs, so no way I over exceeded the weight capacity on it. Save the time and money and just buy a Coleman cot with mattress and 2 inch memory foam topper. It sleeps a lot better and you don't have to worry about waking up on the floor. The Intex couch bed is a lot like their self leveling pools. It seems like a good idea until you're stuck with it.
Good design, yet quality failures!

Comfortable.... yet after a few months of non-abusive every other weekend use, it failed for the first time which was easily repairable only a poorly welded seam. Yet the second time was one internal baffles leaving the seat cushion taunt yet evenly over-inflated and entirely not usable.
Saves Space, Very Comfortable

**See update at bottom**
I have been sleeping on this every night for the past 8 months. I'm a college student and I split rent in a house with roommates, so my personal space is limited to a small bedroom. The thing that I love about this is that I can fold it up during the day, freeing up space in my room. When I'm ready for bed I fold it out into a very comfortable and roomy queen size bed. There is no way that I would have enough space for a traditional queen size bed in my room. The room would be far too cramped.
I had originally purchased this as a temporary solution, but because it is so comfortable and convenient I have kept it as a more permanent solution for the time being. I have a two year old son who spends the weekends with me. When he is here I set up his play-yard/crib for him to sleep in, which doesn't leave me with enough room to fold out my Intex bed. During those times I just sleep on it in it's couch form, and I have to say that it is very comfortable that way too. I actually sleep on it as a couch sometimes even when my son is not here.
Overall this thing is very awesome. It is as light as a feather, so moving it around is a breeze. It saves sooo much space, while still providing ample room with a queen size bed, and it is comfortable. It is a little janky looking, but this can be solved by just throwing a blanket over it. When this is done it just looks like a regular couch with a blanket over it. The durability of the unit seems to be on point as well. I weigh 250 pounds, and my weight has caused it no problems, and my two year old climbs and jumps all over it. I see that the price has come down also. When I bought it the price was close to $80, and I feel that was a decent price. So priced the way that it is right now is a steal.
This is actually the second unit that I've owned. The first one I bought at Walmart 8 months ago. I unsuccessfully attempted to cram the whole mattress/couch into a washing machine. In doing so I must have put some small leaks in the mattress somewhere, because after that it wouldn't hold air. It would seem ok, but after a couple hours I'd wake up lying on a flat mattress. The was total user error. I immediately purchased this replacement from Amazon, and have been going strong with this unit for about 5 months.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants a spacious comfortable bed, but also wants to save space in their living space at the same time.
***UPDATE 4/21/2017***
I felt that I should update this in case people may make a purchasing decision based off of this review. As I mentioned above this is the second one of these that I've owned. The first one fell victim to an air leak and was put out of commission. I tried to stuff it into a washing machine that was really too small of a space, and It sprung a leak in the process. I wrote this off as user negligence and didn't put any of the blame on the mattress/couch itself.
With my current unit I've been very careful to not create a situation which would cause it to obtain a leak. I keep my room clean, so there are no sharp objects in the vicinity, and I haven't tried to stuff this one into the wash machine. Well yesterday I woke up on the floor. The middle air compartment has somehow sprung a leak. I have no idea how. I've looked for the leak and can't find it, but the affected area will not hold air for more than 30 minutes. I don't know if it is leaking around one of the seams, or possibly the area where it is filled with air, but it is unusable. I debated purchasing another one. It has come down in price by almost %50 since I purchased the one I have now. But I decided to buy a futon frame and futon mattress. I'll get the same convenience of have a space saving bed that can be folded up into a couch, without running the risk of having my bed go flat.
I really love the compact nature, and light weight off this bed/couch, but I can't keep replacing it every 6 months when it goes flat. Maybe it just isn't cut out for being slept on every night by a 200+ pound person.
Perfect Sofa/Bed for Tent

I bought this for our end of summer camping trip, and I couldn't have been happier with the sofa. It stayed inflated over the entire weekend even though the instructions said it might stretch and need more air during the first few uses. At night, it unfolds nicely into a queen size bed. The back was like a headboard and the sides help block some of the distracting light and shadows when trying to rest. It's also nice to have the cup holders; I've spilled way too many cups laying them on the tent floor. In the morning, it folds right back into a sofa, freeing up a lot of space in the tent.
The top surfaces are soft and the bottom surface is thick vinyl. The sofa inflated and deflated easily in 3 separate sections. It was used both inside the tent, and outside on dirt and pine needle covered ground on top of a tarp, but otherwise no white-glove treatment and not a single leak; just brush off any sharp objects and remove any branches or rocks underneath before using it -- common sense stuff! Dust and dirt wiped right off with a damp towel.

Buyers beware. Intex does not back this product at all even for manufacturing defects. Asked for a supervisor to contact me to straighten out this matter to no avail no contact was made. My advice to stay away from all intex products. A company who doesn't stand behind their product for sure won't stand with their customers.

This is the second one I purchase and both have deflated on the middle section due to bad stitching. I figured the first one was a bad egg but NO, the second one deflated as well. I hope I can reach customer service. I now have both in my closet. they are not even 3 months old.
