How to connect the hoseby Stephanie (3 out of 5 stars)

The instructions for this are non-existent which is fine because it's a slip n slide, right? How hard can it be? Haha. The box comes with 2 different hose connectors inside... a male and a female... which is confusing because they are screwed onto each other and neither are on the slide. It looks like it is one defective piece. It took me 20 minutes to figure this out. So I will hopefully save you 20 minutes and going through your toolbox looking for a hose adapter by telling you that it is not one piece but two. So if you have an oridinary garden hose- unscrew the pieces from each other and slip the ring part over the rubber attachment on the slide and then screw in your hose and go. See the picture. The piece in my hand is not necessary.

If you go to the H2O GO website, it has incredibly helpful and clear instructional videos on how to set this slide up. The adapter I purchased below was unnecessary after all. Here's a link to the instructions (the slide does not come with instructions nearly as clear as these): http://www.h2ogoslides.com/video.html Even though I had to overcome difficulties, I have to give this 5 stars because my 3-year-old daughter absolutely loves it. The garden hose adapter that was included in the box either is useless or I just couldn't figure it out, so I thought I had to buy a double-female adapter so that the garden hose would attach to the slide. It turns out you can do it without buying another adapter. See the instructional video on the H2O GO website for directions. Basically, you just need one of the two adapter pieces they give you. It's possible to squeeze the plastic connection on the slide into the larger cylinder. You don't need the longer, narrower cylinder at all. Also, the holes on the back of the part that gets inflated by air at the start of the slide are there to be filled up with water! I would never have known this as the instructions say nothing about that, but the directions video at the H2O GO website explain it. While we were awaiting for the new (but now unnecessary) adapter to arrive, we used a yard sprinkler to soak the slide with so that we could still use it. Also, you might want to buy an air compressor to use this slide because it takes a lot of air to blow up the top part, and it's not really reasonable to do it yourself. The price of the slide itself was amazing at about $7.00. With an air compressor, you might need to spend about $20.00 more. But my daughter sure loves it!
Not the best but if you pay under $10, go for it.

We purchased this on Amazon for $6.50. My son is 4 and we weren't sure if he would take to a slip n slide or even understand it. As we suspected, he is sort of hesitant to use it right now, so we are glad we didn't spend much to try it out. the "slide" part is kind of flimsy. It comes with 2 anchors but we couldn't figure out where to use them - so this could flip up in heavy winds. It was VERY confusing trying to figure out where the hose went to make the sprinkler part come up. The product came with a hose connector but again - we just couldn't figure it out. I finally found the part where the hose needs to be attached but the hose connector was no help so I just shoved the part on the product into the hose opening and it worked! We had friends over and their 7 year old had a blast on it. The front "jump" part is a little high so you need to be a bigger kid and it has a good cushion at the end to crash into. All in all... is this the best slip n slide? NO. Was it worth what I paid? YES. It will be good for this summer. If it had heavy use, I am not sure it will last more than one season.
I like this, but get the double wide.

My son and I had a blast with this, it's a great idea. One side fills up with water and the end fills up so that you have a bumper and it also makes a nice splashdown at the end. That being said, you have to keep adjusting the opposite side, as sliding down causes it to wrinkle and there's not really any way to tack it down. I recommend getting the double wide to avoid this. Also, because it kept wrinkling, I got sick of fixing it after every single run. So after a few slides in it's wrinkled state, the blue slide length began to separate from the orange water-filled portion. We had 2 hours of awesome backyard fun, but I will have to fix the part where it is separating before we use it the next time. Highly recommend getting the double wide so you have room to tack down the loose edge.
Worst slide ever.

This is a cheap, poorly made product. We were careful not to overinflated, but it still popped after just a few slides by a 9 and a 10 year old. The drain plugs and water connection leaked so much we were never able to get full pressure in the jets, so the middle section stayed almost dry. We finally hooked up a sprayer on a hose to spray on the slide to use it. I am disgusted. The ten dollar generic slide I bought two years ago at the dollar store was ten times the quality of this. I wish I had not sent that one home with the grandkids and purchased this for my house.

I loved this thing...for the 5 minutes before it popped. I dont know if I did something wrong like put too much water too quickly, but it looked beautiful and got one slide out of it before the orange part on the end thats filled with water just popped. not even during the slide, it just burst. if it was stronger and could support the amount of water it requires I would give it 5 stars
Awesome for the price

It worked perfectly for my son's 7th bday party. The kids LOVED it and it was easy to set up. (Just remember to have a pump to blow it up you dont want to be there all day doing it by mouth!)
