These are very fun. I wasn't exactly sure how they worked, but you have to place part of the bookend inside the cover of a book, then place the superhero on the outside of the cover. The metal is magnetized, so the superhero adheres to the bookend only if the book cover is thin enough for the magnet to be effective.

Love how it looks but books left on it for a few days get crooked and twisted on that angle.
Not great for tall books. Otherwise it's perfect.

Overall the product works great. Was going to use it for my comic that I want to display but it does not really work for tall books. So that's the reason it gets a 3 since it doesn't really work for the books I intended to use. Smaller height books work great.

Got this for my son's growing book collection. The magnetic part works great. But without something really solid to hold the books from the other side, they slide right off the bottom part :( It took a real balancing act, quite the feat to get them to stay put.
Upside... when you finally get the books to stay put you feel like a hero.
Downside... when you finally get the books to stay put you don't actually want to take any of them off the shelf to read them :(

It's just fun. Kiddos love it. It prompts comments, compliments. And it's something you don't find in every single person's home, which I love. I HATE walking into a home that looks like everyone else's home. They shopped ONLY at Target, or something, and 200 households all have the same, "EAT" sign in their kitchens. BORING! Really sturdy and adds just the right whimsical touch for this DC and Marvel loving home!

Bought this for my husband to use for DVDs and it works great! He really likes it and his only complaint is that where he has it (on a high shelf), it's hard to see because it's painted black. So he indicated he will probably paint it so it stands out, because the effect is so cool!

I am pleased for the most part. Looks and works as intended. I just didn't notice until after it arrived that I needed a fair amount of books to support the book end. Without enough weight on the opposite end of the unspecified hero (where the books rest) the stand will fall over. Wish it was weighted so it didn't require as many books or finagling on my part.

Quality is nice, easy to use, etc. However, you HAVE to have a thin covered book to use as your anchor. Thin 3 ring binder or really any hardcover the magnet is NOT strong enough to have the hero hold up your books. Which is pretty disappointing for me.
It'll still work as a bookend, but just no hero on it. Bummer. Really wish at this price to have a stronger magnet.
