Short battery life & limited visibility

Got this collar 4 weeks ago. After approximately 10 hrs of use--far less than the 150 hrs stated in the ad--the first set of batteries went. I'd figured at 1/2 hr a day, we'd get at least 2 months of use. Our neighbor purchased two of a different brand over a year ago and has yet to replace the batteries. He frequently uses them for hours at a time too.

The collar is also not very bright--re visibility, the package says "up to 1000 feet" but if our dog is 30 feet away in our back yard, the lights are very dim and if he goes farther, he disappears. I ordered blue so perhaps a lighter color is more visible.

Also, I could not shorten the collar to 10 inches because of the LED placement. It's a bit over 11 inches so it's quite loose.

Broke Right Away

I only used this for a couple weeks before the lights stopped working. I turned it on a couple times a week if I took my dog on a night walk so there is no way it was the battery. The thing just stopped working.

It is also really hard to adjust because the lights in the collar made the band really stiff and bumpy.

Super cute but not durable enough

Just received this and the matching leash today. It's super cute. Not tremendously bright, but bright enough to be seen from afar and this will deffinately be a big help for our pack walks when we get caught in the dark at the park. The collar seems of good quality and it's nice that it comes with extra batteries.

Update since last review: this is not even water resistant. The collar got muddy so we wiped it down with a wet rag and after that is started giving us trouble. So I opened the battery area to make sure it s dry. It worked for a few days and now it just won't light up at all. Plus the fabric has a run it already and my dog isn't that crazy so I don't even know how it happened.

Great for camping!

I have a black lab, 70 lbs and the Large (15 inch) size fit her perfectly. We bought this for camping since we can't see her in the dark. Now all you see running around outside in the dark is the collar lol

Only complaint is that my dog sometimes turns it on herself by laying on the button, so I wouldn't use this as an everyday collar because the batter will run out quickly.

The battery lasted longer than I expected and was super easy to replace once it needed it.

The at stopped working the say it was delivered, The leash was the same issue. There was a refund made and it included the COLLAR AND LEASH. the two items together were almost $35.00. I ALWAYS ask for the refund in the form of an Amazon gift caed.

Needs better construction

Bought the collar and leash in pink and they worked great for a short period of time. The collar turns on with minor play and light contact I am constantly checking to ensure it is off. I am already on the second set of batteries and very thankful they were included. I started having issues with the leash after just a few months it would flicker and the bottom 1/2 wouldn't stay consistantly lit. Now only the top two stay on, the middle flickers, and the bottom 1/2 doesn't light up at all. My dog is a cocker mix and very low key, (not a leash bitter). I am very disappointed in both products.

Nice, well made collar.A little too bulky for my puppy, but she will grow into it soon.Comes with 2 extra batteries. Great idea for dark haired dogs, now I can see my puppy in the yard at night time.

Bright, easy to spot in the dark

This was a gift for my mother in law, for her poodle. She loves it. The dog doesn't spend too much time outdoors being the pampered pooch it is but the collar has held up to rain and mud so far. The build quality is good, the controls easy to use.

The collar is a little stiff, stiffer than a mid quality leather collar but I expect that is form the wiring. The battery compartment is well sealed which makes swapping the battery a little challenging but that is a plus in my book.

Wrong size.

I have tried to order this color 2 times and both times the collar was a large instead of a medium. It should not be that hard to get the right size. The collar looks really cute but no way it would fit my dog.

Battery life is SUPER short

The battery died WAY quicker than then 1,000 hours promised. When I switched out the original battery for the replacement ones, they also died within a few days. So basically, the battery lasted a total of 1 hour, not 1,000 hours. Very disappointing.
