Works but not real fast

I purchased this item because my heater has gone out in the car and thought this would be a quick fix until I could get the heater fixed. I purchased it mainly to defrost the window and to keep it defrosted while I drove as the window will frost up a bit while driving any length of time.

I did not expect much from a 12v item, but thought it would put out more heat than it does. Don't get me wrong, it does do the job, just not as fast as you would need especially if your driving and the window starts to fog up. I have to pull over and let it defrost the window and then I'm back on my way about 10 minutes later. I'm not super happy with the item, but it's better than nothing.

This product is a fire hazard! I'm not sure if I got one with a small defect that got worse over time or not, so don't take this 100% to heart.

I bought this product to defrost my windshield during fairly chilly mornings. It works alright if you let it sit for about 10 minutes. However, this product is not strong enough to use in place of your heater in winter. I used it initially to defrost, and then it slowly but surely started to get colder in northern USA and the Auto Heater/Defroster's reliability gradually started to dwindle. I would recommend this product if you're going to use it solely to defrost your windshield, but nothing any more significant.

The particular Auto Heater/Defroster that I received caused me a small problem that could have potentially been a fire hazard. I was driving home one night after a late shift at work, and turned it on only to realized that the switch was stuck on 'Heat.' It was still producing heat, so I put in on my dash whilst I drove home. A few moments later, I smelled something similar to burnt rubber, turning rapidly into an unbearable putrid smell. If I hadn't had my significant other in the vehicle with me, I fear I would have failed to notice the ridiculous amount of smoke blooming from the Auto Heater/Defroster. I was focusing on the road, so I thought the smell was coming from my car. My significant other noticed where the smoke was coming from and promptly unplugged the Auto Heater/Defroster. I had no choice but to throw it away. I fear a fire would have started if he wasn't in the vehicle with me. I will not be ordering this product or from this company again.

Over all, this product does half of what's expected of it (solely the defroster part of its title). I would recommend it for defrosting, but nothing more. I would also suggest checking the product thoroughly before every use.

this works well defogs in 5 to 10 mins. it is light the cord is long.came in on time have had no issue

It will take the chill off, if you don't have a midsize or smaller car and some time, but don't expect to be toasty warm. Good enough to keep from frosting up on the inside.

did nothing was not worth aggregation of ordering it. mislead by ad and peoples comments it did not work at all slight breeze that was it could use my breath and have gotten more heat...

I bought this to help defrost my windshield when my heater core went out, it clears my windows and gets me on the road fairly quickly

It really needs more air power CFM. Good heat but it takes the whole day to feel a little heat in car. Works slow in defrosting .

Does not get warm enough. I had it on with the car heater and car heater was warmer than the auto heater. It was not enough to defrost on one day where Seattle had snow.

found no use for this product at all,worst purchased i ever made!!!total scam not useful at all do not buy this product.
