This set of an elderly couple on their walking aids is spot on with my parents. My Mom is 89 and my Dad is 96. They laughed so much over this little couple. Then, when I made them race each other, my parents were just tickled. They have the couple prominately displayed on their fireplace mantle! It is such a wonderful source of laughter. The set arrived in excellent condition. The box was slightly crushed on one end and I was expecting a smashed gift. But, it was packed so well inside the box, there was no damage.

Granny is a bit top heavy and articulated at ankles and hips which makes her unstable on her tiny feet. She really does need walker. If your buying this to race you'll be disappointed because she doesn't get much traction and falls a lot. In that respect very realistic. Grandad is much more stable of course but he still doesn't get far either.

I bought as gag gift and it works just fine for that. I'm sure granny will stand just fine in icing on top of birthday cake.

as others have posted, grandpa is great, but granny hardly moves, and often falls. the parts are very well made - feet bend and everything - but the walking function wasn't tested out very well. i've repositioned her feet, legs, and walker, and she still falls. boo.

The race is a tie with this adorable windup grandma and grandpa. I bought them for my sister and her husband, who both turn 65 this fall. I haven't given them to them yet, but I'm sure they'll get a kick out of the pair.

Now that I've delivered this gift and it's opened, I have to report that Grandma falls over and it's almost impossible to get her to walk. Too bad because it's such a cute pair.

I bought this as a "joke" gift for my husband at Christmas. We are in our sixties. We are still mobile, but do

realize that as we get older, we might need assistance. It is sitting on our mantel and it reminds us to

live actively while we can. I generally say I will still be faster on my "walker" than he will ever be on his scooter. It was and is a great gift!

This was cute but I should have listened to other reviewers. Grandpa races along, but Grandma falls over after a couple of steps. We keep trying various ways to fix her, but nothing has worked thus far and it took the fun out of the joke....

These too FOREVER to arrive. I missed the event I ordered them for, but I ended up giving them to someone for Christmas and they were a huge hit! The detail on them is fantastically hilarious!
